I'll always stand by the fact that limitations breed creativity. This game is so creative because it was heavily restricted by the hardware of the DS.

Don't know what the butter is about, but I like em'. They seem like a nice dairy product.

Some side notes: The swarms are pretty easy to take out if you melee them since they have such little health. Before Starscream joined the Decepticons, he was neutral rather than a straight-up Autobot. If you do make another video, you should definitely mention the extra skills you get if you put enough points in a single stat, like Megatron's ground pound, for example. Though Starscream and Megatron are a good combo, the other characters are still good choices. You'd just have to put in the effort to level them up and all that.

This and the autobot version were my first DS games. I love em to death And yeah, Starscream is broken AF. If you upgrade his ranged attack it does a shit ton of damage. Sometimes it even lags the game

I have to say If it weren't for your Transformers DS videos, I would not have finished my copy of Autobots DS that my brother gave me 10 years ago and I also wouldn't have bought and played Decepticons DS that I bought from a Cex 2 weeks ago. I like this series of videos and I look forward to your future content. Also, what if you made a video speed reviewing the autobot versions of the games.

I sit here looking at my copy of this game while watching. Those were good times.

Loved this game as a kid, one of the few I went to the trouble of unlocking everything for. I can't remember what my actual character combo was for the endgame, besides Starscream being the lead. I think I actually did all the challenges before I beat the final boss, though, so the second character may well have been Shockwave, who is hilariously broken.

Yeah you just had to max out firepower and skill for Starscream and just firepower for Shockwave. Hilariously broken indeed. Also the bots that have critical melee hits special upgrade with strength are also stupidly broken lol.

Id love to see more videos about this game. I had the autobots version as a kid, but i recently got decepticons. Both campaigns are pretty repetitive, but i think the overall amount of content and the satisfying gameplay makes for a fun DS game. I have also played the multiplayer against my friend and its pretty fun and nets lots of rewards

I have the autobots version so I think I'll have to try and get the decepticons version now (Also do bonus content)

This game was surprisingly packed with content to make up for the short main story. What shocked me was being able to play as the Autobots even parts of their campaign. Played this for hours trying to get everything, good thing my younger brother got the Autobot version, so I was able to 100% it after I got the codes to get both Silverbolt and Ramjet. I'm so glad that Hasbro is making figures from the version exclusive bots from these games as well. Yes I'll love the bonus content as well to be made

I sense a pattern with these The original transformers ds game was all about character customisation The rotf ds game was about weapon customisability And wfc ds is about both of them (kind of), with data disks and 30+ characters

I remember the multiplayer being awesome me and my cousin had both versions and would spend hours playing. This video brought me a lot of nostalgia for sure!

Though I have seen the bonus content before it would be awesome to see it a new and very detailed way. Also, if you're interested in playing more Transformers DS games, I recommend the Autobot versions of the games you've played, Transformers Prime the Game, and Transformers Animated the Game. Both the Prime and Animated games are very unique and different when compared to the other Transformers DS games in terms of gameplay and story. Great video!

So happy you liked the video, man! I love covering obscure games, and the TFDS ones are no exception. I've covered the 2007 Autobots game in a 20 minnute review (since I already covered the mechanics in teh decpeticons video), but you're right, I could definitely cover the Autobots ROTF game, alongside the DOTM one! I used to love the Animated game too, so maybe I'll give that a shot too

There are two different bonus content for both editions, one of the bonuses were a preview of the other versions campaign, and the other is an arena fight club, where you defeat characters to unlock them for all game modes, and quite a few of them have all weapon types, Jazz for example has red and yellow guns, and blue melee, (or was the red and blue swapped?) and well, you could totally cheese the hell out of the campaign with those characters.

12:05 around here-ish you argued that using two different classes of characters is better than using two of same class, but you accidentally just said that using two characters of the same class is better as opposed to using two characters of the same class. Editing hiccups happen, so don't feel bad. Otherwise great a video, nicely done. And yes, I would love to see a bonus content video sometime in the future!

07 Decepticon is the best story and a great open world game, this one has a more refined shooter gameplay and the missions are great

I think it would be cooler if the autobot you played as in the first stage would switch like how jetfire did in revenge of the fallen.

You should definatly review more DS games, like that weird animated transformers puzzle game or the professor layton series

I had the autobot version, but i have dumped hundreds of hours into this game, especially the areas, since you can do all of the missions for both sides, and the fact that you get exclusive characters is so cool to me, especially pre dino swoop and grimlock. Probably my favorite ds game

You should play the transformers DS games online next

If you ever do play the 3DS Transformers games then I would strongly recommend the Transformers Prime game. It's been a while since I played it but I remember it being a lot of fun.
