Thank you for your thoughts on our book and for your kind words. I'm really glad that you enjoyed it, and am flattered that people are still reading it a decade after it was released.

I found out my Titanic-nerd brother, who got me to read “A Night to Remember“ at age 9 and started my lifelong obsession, has never read this book! I’m seeing him this weekend, and it’s gift-wrapped and ready to go for his birthday. I can’t wait till he opens it.
Imagine if we had a modern day Titanic movie. that would be awesome with the technology of today. This one I would like it if it was based more on the crew.

Yessss I've always said I prefer a remake of A Night To Remember as opposed to Cameron's Titanic! Now I'd say I prefer a movie based on OASOG!
Thank you so much for the kind review, I know that I really appreciated hearing that all our hard work was being enjoyed by readers out there! :)
I finally ordered this book and it is such a good read. I’m a huge history buff. Not an expert but just a person who loves to read all sorts of history. And this is the best book on the Titanic I have ever read.
this is the only person that makes me feel normal. most of the time i think im the only guy who knows TOO much about the titanic. +1 Subscriber
I dont know if you have read Shadow of the Titanic by Andrew Wilson but its definitely one of my favorites because it gives you insurmountable details about the survivors life before and after the sinking and sailing. Very informative about their personal life... It's amazing, you should totally check it out if you haven't and I'm definitely going to buy this one, thanks for the review!
You’ve inspired me to purchase this book! Looking forward to it.
I am so obsessed with titanic I’m pretty sure I had a past life on it and that book you have read I personally love love ❤️ that book it is a great book and I very much enjoyed!😎
Oh heck yeah! Those split timelines are my jam… the whole “12:01AM- this is what’s happening on the bridge; this is what’s happening in 1st, 2nd, 3rd class…” love all that nonsense. I found this video because I wanted to know more about the book before purchasing. It sounds like this one is worth shelling out the bucks for; thank you for the rundown! 🙏
It is the best. I partially used it for my final thesis in my master's degree and it was awesome 😍

Currently reading the book. Slow reader so may take a while. But love reading and learning more from this book.
I need to get this book. But I live in Belgium so yeah, I really need it I'm a titanic enthusiast ever since I've been little. I have literally just one book on the titanic lol but this book looks and sounds amazing so I need it.
I also have the book . In my opinion it is such a well done book .
This seems like a great book! After I finish my current book, I might consider reading this.
Currently reading the book; yes I agree it is one of the best Titanic books out there to buy.
Interesting, because I bought this book in Czech Republic very easily. I ordered it and it came like within 3 or 4 days from czech book store. 😊😊
I just got my “Titanic An Illustrated History” book today and now I am waiting to buy this book when I can get it 😁 and the pictures are so beautiful in my book I got today….cant wait to get some artifacts from titanic 😄😬😬
I'm really looking forward to reading On a Sea of Glass! Another good book out there is Wyn Craig Wade's Titanic: End of a Dream, which is about the US Senate's inquiry into the sinking, directed by Sen. William Alden Smith. It's dated, as it was published in 1979, before the wreck was discovered, but it's a good general history of the sinking as told through the info revealed in the American inquiry.
Yes. It is the best titanic book I've ever read.
I started reading it when I was 9 but now I’m older and I’m rereading it! It’s such a good book
Thankyou for your review, i am a Titanic fan surely I am going to read this book, to get deep insights about the Titanic
I finally got this book today. Took me years to get it. Years! 😭🙏
there's also the kindle edition for those like me who are old and can't read that tiny print anymore.
by the way love your videos i think you are number one youtuber!
I got it Christmas 2021 3 months now i am near the end
have you ever done a video on titanic break up theories? i never realized how many different speculations and perspectives there were on how the ship finally went down, especially in regards to visibility and survivor testimonies differing depending on their distance from the ship and the angle they were looking. it could be a really cool video!
I just got this today for my birthday. I will definitely read it
Great video, Raf Avila! I also had a video suggestion, why did Titanic snap but not the Britannic? Just wanted to know if you could make a short on this, thank you.
It’s the Bible of the Titanic. Loved it.
Should do a ranking of titanic books you’ve read as I’ve not seen anyone do that before 👍
I might have to try and get this book
Thanks for the great explanation about the book. I love to read it one day. Some says that the honor and glory clock on the grand staircase was not yet installed in the titanic at the time of the maiden voyage and a mirror fixed there instead of the clock. And I also believe that the titanic's engines stoped and only the *port propeller engine* was reversed because in those situations what all ships do is stopping the centre propeller and the propeller on the side of the iceberg or whatever the thing that they about to collide and they reverse the propeller on the other side to provide pressure to quickly turn , what do u think about those?
So I just came accross this video like two weeks ago, and not I have the book in my hands. 😅 Thanks.
You should do a video on some of your favourite Titanic books you have read.
I love this guy.

Another GREAT book on the Titanic that goes beyond the same old worn out myths is Ghosts of the Titanic
The best book ever!
That's interesting that Titanic wasn't finished. As you know, the maiden voyage was delayed, so White Star Line was in a hurry to get the ship on it's voyage
You should check out the new Timeline video about the Titanic Engineers ^^
Have you done a video on your favorite books yet? I’d love to see that!
hey is there a movie or something that i can just watch based off captain smith or the crew?
6,990 Subs!
Sir which is the best Book about Titanic after reading many of them by u???
Im a proud titanic nerd
Hi, I'm new to the Titanic community, i found myself ina sort of titanic rabbit hole once I stumbled upon a youtube video regarding the titanic. I've watched some short youtube videos on the topic and read some wikipedia enties. That being said, is this a good book to start of with if i want to learn more? Or is it better to start with others ones?

Welcome to the Titanic community, friend! There are lots of good books to start with-the general histories that Raf shows in this video are all good. I became interested in this in 1979, before the wreck was discovered; Walter Lord’s A Night to Remember was my first book (and my first movie) on the Titanic.
Ah yes. A video on “the titanic bible”
i have always been interested in titanic even been thinking about making my own videos of titanic.Do you think that is a good idea?
I am thinking about buying this book because it's the anniversary of the sinking. Does the book go over the search for the wreck and subsequent expeditions? It's expensive and I don't want a book that's just about the ship and the disaster, but not exploration of the wreck.

It does but it’s only a few pages as it’s not the main focus, a fantastic book even so. If you want a book on the search and subsequent expeditions of the wreck then you should buy The Titanic Expeditions: Diving to The Queen of The Deep 1985-2021 by Eugene Nesmeyanov.
