@@thatslotcarguy v2.67 is currently slowly being released to the public, which is just a few bugs fixes, no new features. I am doing some early tests on a "LapTrax Lite" app that would be a motion-detection only, stripped down version of the app, but would be very battery-friendly, running with screen-off. Also had some ideas for a 'tournament' mode with simple round/heat/match-making, but still just ideas at this point.

I been using it and quite happy with it. I strongly recommend it to anyone in need of a decent lap timer.

I'm not sure I would replace it for a paid stand alone timing system but it's extremely good for a free timing app

I use it too, works really well. Did have an issue with the screen getting hot during use and it did drain the battery quite fast, otherwise brilliant

Yes it is pretty good, as you say watch the shadows, don't put it where a car will likely need marshal help as a hand going too close can cause it to count a lap. I don't have a stand for my phone but I will 3D print something.

Is there a way to do a timed race? I can't find it. Really would like something like that.

Colourtraxx mode works the opposite of how you said. It goes by car colour not lane colour. As the matter of fact, it won't work if there's a colour in the background that's similar to your cars. For example if you had Carrera's red/white borders on the track the software won't recognize a red or white car for lap times. I'm a little sad you didn't set it up for two cars running at once. I never could figure out how to get it working without using colourtraxx.

Can anyone walk me through adding additional racers? I’ve got one in and I can’t seem to add more racers. It will only let me put a VO or virtual racer on my other lanes. Thanks

motion-detection mode only works with one car, try colortrax mode and cars that are very different in colors.

So this doesn't communicate with the Carrera Bluetooth adapter I paid $40 for?

Has the app changed, most of the buttons don't show up to adjust the settings on Samsung S20

motion detection only works with one car, since it cannot determine the difference between cars. ColorTrax mode works with up to 4 cars of different colors. EDIT: for slot-cars, I could re-write the motion detection to detect in different lanes. I might look into that.

I would suggest buying a cheap second hand android phone and use it only for the app
