7:28 … taking a moment to appreciate the musical score. Everything is beautiful about this. The house, the landscape, the filming, the commentary, the intent, the music, etc.

Fighting back tears… what an absolutely beautiful monument to humanity’s union with nature & with one another.

This is maybe the best photography in an architectural video I have ever seen. The one behind the camera was able to project to the audience the architect's view perfectly. I'm really surprised on how great this match is. It's wonderful!

Imagining falling asleep on the couch with all windows open and then wake up with a venomous viper on your chest.

I love the clean lines and simple palette of materials. Keeping the structure visually simple makes the detail of everything else exaggerated. Really lovely.

This is quite literally my dream home design! So beautiful and elegant. Embracing it's place as part of the environment rather than removed from it. Thank you for sharing.

@@bmbullman So all of you people are, I would call, a type of "psychopaths", this concrete cold design are for people who have no feelings whatsoever and can't enjoy being home. It looks too cold, aseptic, sad, lonely... I don't know, I can appreciate the design itself but I'll never consider this a home.

This place is absolutely amazing omg. The rock exposures, all of the greenery! It looks so warm and homey even though it's all concrete. Possibly the best looking house I've EVER seen.

I see it the complete opposite: outside & greenery nice, setting into the landscape nice, inside so cold as we were some stoneage people living in a cave...sorry but inside a lot is missing for me. Compare e.g. to kzread.info/dash/bejne/a3mpktCBkdPXlpM.html where a good balance fro my opinion was made.

The execution level is incredible. The way the windows rails and ceiling fixture are directly attached within the structure means that the planing has been meticulous. This is a testament to the arquitect(s) and builder(s). This level of simplicity is remarquably hard to produce. Kudos.

Incredible integration of landscape and architecture. So beautifully designed.

Everytime I watch a The Local Project short file, I learn something new each time. You cannot take your eye off it for a minute, as you will miss so much.x

I keep coming back to look at this phenomenal home. It's definitely a dream build.

The cinematography alone told a compelling story.

every video on this channel makes me want to pack my backs, go to australia and become an architect- just to be a part of these beautifully breathtaking projects

Like a lot of places in the world during Covid, there was a lot of false information spread overseas in order to justify certain views in other countries. “Authoritarian dictatorship” is a very strong term. Perhaps look up what it means before making yourself look naive and uneducated.

It’s a big country, it’s not all the same. The gov has very little involvement most of the time, if you switch off the news it’s easy to forget they exist, especially if you’re not in a city. There’s been a bunch of protests and they’ve backed down on most of their rhetoric. Aussies aren’t very political and mostly just want to be left alone

This is such an exquisite home which is respectful of the land's history as the site of a former botanical garden. The placement of gardens on the roof which in time will serve to hide the or blend the home's existence with the landscape is brilliant. The seamlessness of internal and external space with sliding doors which open to the outdoors and the room which is part rock and part house is lovely and celebrates the environment. The use of diffused light throughout the home is quite gentle. Quite lovely.

You guys have great editing and photography skills. Every showcase makes me feel glad to be a viewer.

The cinematography with the audio on this one, is just mesmerizing hats off to the team.

The houses on this channel keep getting better and better

This is just about the most elegant house with the most substance both for the current occupants and for future generations - presented by Local Project. .It is clear to me that the architect belongs to the same concept design group as the legendary John Lautner of California, most of whose works are landmarks.. people think it is easy to build a structure out of concrete..... I love the balance between concrete. open spaces, greenery, the sparingly used teac wood walls and other elements. What an incredibly gorgeous work of architecture! What a priviledge to live there....

Thanks for your comment. Never knew of Lautner but now I know he studied under Frank Llloyd Wright and then went onto evolve his own style. About to embark on an image search of his work...

yes, proof how even a cold BUNKER can become a great livingspace because of the landscape.

I watched this 9 times as fan of Fallingwater house & TLP. TLP this is one of the best ever house's you've shown us imo. Board formed concrete, floor to ceiling glass Crittal styled in some places, integrated electricals/HVAC, beautifully selected wood, blended light wells & house merged into rocks knockout, not forgetting living roofs. Arresting, breath taking work JSA.

A beautifully woven tale..... It certainly has a magic to it. Credit to the Architect. A fine, fine piece of work.

Love this property. I did something similar with my house in the Texas Hill Country. It is built into the hillside by blasting the limestone and the limestone that came from the blasting was used for the external walls visible from the road. The back of the house was three floors of glass looking into the trees and the Colorado river at the base of the hill.

The contractor has done an incredible job on what’s obviously an intensely complex structure. Hats of to them !!

absolutely love this concept, the space and everything in and around it! but i think it would be interesting seeing a video of the house inhabited, seeing how the people occupy the space and make it their own. because it looks quite like a simple model home like this..

An overlooked and subtle detail which I really appreciate is that dimensional lumber was used for the roof concrete formwork, thus imprinting the wood grain and planks into the concrete... Though the style of the house itself may not be unique, the execution is superb.

Breathtaking. It wouldn't be complete without the legendary Luis Poulsen lamps.

The house adapts to the landscape rather than the landscape adapts to the house. This is so beautiful, I am never concerned about the view, I agree with him. The simplicity, the elegance ...... ❤💜

I get wow from the presence of this house, and how it integrates so well with the landscape, have a little bit of mistery in the spaces wich it made it a whole experience Congrats to the architect for this beautiful space!

Wonderful from the start . . . but exactly one minute in, the only words I could conjure were "Oh . . . my . . . God . . . what? . . . .Oh . . .my . . . .goodness!" and it never stopped. This house and the views are simply unreal! Are you breeding special architects with special unearthly talents for your amazing lands or what? You provide much needed delight every Friday. I love this house, the lines and the textures are incredible.

Wow. This is absolutely amazing. Probably the best residential architecture I’ve seen.

Love how the rock that the house is sitting on and incorporating is beautifully well graded sand and gravels with crossbedding, which in itself describes a evolving world.

Clean, minimalist and open; perfectly peaceful and elegant. Love the design and color choices!!!!

Spectacular. Love how it grows out of the rock… I love how the windows/doors glide to bring outside in. And… I love all the rooftop gardens. Architect’s homes are gorgeous! Full of passion and intentionality, beauty and practicality and so energy efficient making the most of light, direction etc … fascinating.

STUNNING in every way, deserving of the world's best claim. The architect's calm demeanor as he describes his wonderful work legitimately makes this the best video tour of a home, ever.

Wow. Mind blown. Lot of steel inside that concrete. Technical and so well done.

The architects did an amazing job in creating a phenomenal, modern home that blends in so well with nature. Not always an easy task to make concrete look natural, the living roof is stunning as are all the views. The rock room is definitely my favorite space. Fabulous.

For me that rock room is just a bit too subterranean. It could make a great bomb shelter though. I like that shower with the plant growing up to the light from a small atrium, and the spacious rooms overlooking the beach.

A dream house! Being in nature near to the ocean... love the planted roofs!! The forest around is beautiful... So relaxing and magical. I imagine the sunrise and moonlight. It honours the space with nature including and inclusive. A dream house made real with peace in mind and hart.

WOW! WOW! WOW! ...what a spectacular home to live in. Love the beautiful and insightful philosophy behind the design, a true work of art in architecture and living.

When you said "Is this the best modern house in the world" that was a very bold statement and I was very cynical in viewing what was next. But what a beautiful house it is and yes it could be the best modern house in the world. Certainly the best Ive seen on the Local Project. So beautifully placed in the environment with what looks like a beautiful journey of discovery of the tones, textures and colours of the interior objects and furniture. I could really say this is a transcendent work of art.

I can't wait to build a house of my own someday. each video is inspiration for my future, a collection of ideas that I will continue to build off of

I'm obsessed with board formed concrete and I love that they put it on the ceilings here.

Wow… To see such things out of paper or screen totally amazed the viewer. Beautifully crafted piece.

This kind of house keeps me motivated to go to school everyday. Because I always remind myself that if I do the right thing as a student, I believe I can achieve such a house like this, for me and for my family.

I would have loved to see a link to get more details about the cost and amount of time the build took to completion. In addtion, how the garden aspect of the entire house and property were created. This truly feels like next level kind of architecture, quite inspiring....I look forward to the possibility of one day when this level of mastery and artistry is available for EVERY house built on this planet....one can wish and imagine....

I'm surprised I scrolled so far to see FLW mentioned... this quite clearly relates to Falling Water. It's a stunning house on its own and in its own right. But by the time we saw the raw rock (also another awesome detail) it felt close to imitation as a form of flattery
