It's transcendent and awe-inspiring to see such hard work and dedication (by the band) have a ripple effect on so many people.     Someone wrote lyrics when they felt alone… becomes a hit… other lonely feeling (or can relate) people relate to the message… they sing together in unison and harmony. They’re not alone. It’s deep and poetic to me.

    Brandon actually wrote this song after finding out his significant other at the time was cheating on him. So it's quite a personal song for him I would imagine.

    @@marcuscrumpton8568 yes it is lmao -- it's the 17th track on Sawdust and they've been doing a 50/50 of it with the "electro" version of Mr. B (as printed on their setlists, of which I have) for years. Do you not hear the slower tempo and the plodding keyboard? How fun is it to be so defiantly wrong?

    Check out Mr Brightside live at São Paulo - Lollapalooza 2013. It’s simply outstanding, such an immense crowd, everybody was thrilled and jumping like crazy, defo the greatest concert i’ve ever been to!

    He did a full set including two new songs The man and the calling and then teased the crowd as he hadn't sung Mr brightside yet then went off and did this as an encore song so the crowd was super pumped up and belted this song out when they started playing this song was such a good end to their Glasgow green set

    This is really touching. I feel like it's such a special experience to start up a song and then your entire audience starts singing the song so loud that you can't sing over them, so you just stop and enjoy that for a moment. Spent the opening thinking about that, but I was singing along and tearing up by the end of the short. lol

    T in the Park , Balado, Scotland 2013 I wasn't even suppose to be there, I was one of the hundreds of bus drivers but couldn't miss this for the world so we all had a free pass in and took this opportunity to experience one of the best nights of my life at a concert, I then had to drive these fans home to Glasgow and we were all still singing on the journey back.....that's how a band does it to you

    Very close, their live concert from royal albertson’s hall will forever be the best concert I’ve ever seen, on KZread or in person. That crowd was great.

    So sad that the clip ended just as the roof was about to be lifted off! Probably my best memory of being at a music festival, V2009 at Chelmsford singing Mr Brightside with thousands of completely mad, lovely strangers!!
