Younger people weren't around for this, but back around 2012, Lorac was still sold at Sephora. The original Lorac Pro Palette was all over KZread as the must have high end eyeshadow palette.

I remember Lorac around 2015 in FEW videos. My guess is that it was pushed out by Huda beauty and Anastasia BH. Because whole brand kind of dissapeared from YT but I’m glad it came back along with Viseart. They must be still loved since they survived CoV and recession (ehm unlike other brands 👀 Morphe)

I'm so glad neutrals/cool tones are having their moment as it's exactly what I'm going for. We've had so many amazing warm palettes but I dislike warm tones for me!

I really appreciate someone showing Lorac love! This palette along with their Fairytale Forest palette 2 holidays ago is so so beautiful! You should try more from the brand

I really appreciate the comparison to shades even if the formula isn’t the same-because I can’t bring myself to buy a Victoria Beckham or Charlotte Tilbury single cream shadow, and yet I’m always looking for similar shades to Mink and Oyster Pearl. I’ve been eyeing Mystic Oak ever since it came out in 2021 (I think it came out around the same time as the Fairytale Forest palette). I just never ended up buying it, but I think this will get bumped up on the priority list.

Victoria Beckham Mink is one of those makeup products that haunts me. Everything about it calls to me; I'm always drawn to colors like that and of course the packaging is stunning. But do I need it? Will I have many occasions to actually wear it? Probably not. Am I willing to buy it just to own a beautiful object? Not today. This Lorac mini is a great find. I always appreciate your detail-oriented reviews and comparisons!

honestly sometimes the marketing behind things and the photography just MAKES you want it but then you get it and am like "two days a year I'd wear this". Often I'm so attracted to those smoky colours but I'd never wear them day to day.

Lorac is soooo underrated! My first palette that was higher end was their regular pro palette back in like 2010! I love this little palette but it’s always sold outttt 😭

100% when I was in training as a makeup artist my very experienced MUA friend reco'd Lorac palettes. SO creamy and I think Lorac had a hey-dey but because the packaging isn't "sexy" and they don't do PR packages they just don't get the spotlight anymore. All good for us because it's affordable pro.

The first high end palette I ever purchased was the Lorac Pro and I absolutely loved it! I would definitely repurchase it!

Lauren Mae got me interested in this palette a few mos back when she did a best of mini palettes. I can't remember if it was a full video or short, but the palette is so beautiful! I never used to be into mini palettes or neutrals or one & done shades. Content creators like you (& Lauren) have definitely contributed to me broadening my horizons in terms of this area! Thank you for your thoughts, swatches, & lovely in depth visuals! 🤗✨ *btw just beware that some of the mini palettes do or have had actual pressed glitter in them

Hey, Amanda👋. If you haven't already, you have to check out Viseart! I love all of their shadows, but their $25 quads, & $39 Étendu & $30 Petit Pro mini-palettes, are some of my faves; & IMO are reasonably priced for their quality & amt. of product. I got the "Lilas" quad🥰 when it 1st released, about a year ago. It's one of those cool-toned taupe-pewter-mauve-rose amalgamations, & it is perfection! I also esp. love the "Cashmerie" Étendu. I've had & loved LORAC's "Mystic Oak" for the past 2-ish years, & it's also gorgeous. Neutral & cool-toned taupes are my favorite shades, so I'm always on the lookout for palettes that feature them. I just wish LORAC was more available in-store, like it used to be. I picked mine up @Ulta, along w/their Luxe Diamond crème shadow pot in "Cashmere", which I also recommend. It reminds me of the formula of Chanel's Ombre Première in "Patine Bronze", but slightly more emollient.

I’ve always liked Lorac and had every one of the Mega Pro palettes. I remember having to visit multiple Ulta stores to even get my hands on one during launch day. Glad to see they are still making great shadows at a very affordable price. I also remember that I always used my Kohl’s cash to buy something Lorac. 😂 Tbh lately I’ve been a little bored and tired of brands like Natasha Denona and Pat McGrath, and I have been going back to my reliable shadows like my Bobbi Brown cream sticks. ❤

Love Lorac! It was my first high end palette. I received a small palette of shimmers as a Christmas gift back in the early/mid 2000s.

I love Lorac eyeshadows! Thanks for this video, they definitely deserve some attention.

I had a lorac palette forever ago with the most gorgeous shimmer in it called kitty Kat and I used that palette for years until I hit pan on it. Lorac isn't "trendy" right now, especially with the tik-tok/Instagram set but it still makes great mid-price solid products.

Just goes to show how influencers really create the market unfortunately and often it's led by who is giving PR packages. There are amazing brands out there not in the "influencer-PR Package" game and they are just as good if not better in some cases. Just have to find the hidden gems. I appreciate Amanda so much because she is low-key not all flash and dash and does such thorough reviews regardless of any PR.

This reminds me a lot of the cool toned 5 pan palette pat McGrath came out with for the holidays. Super pretty

I’m so excited to see you spotlight this palette! I personally think Lorac is very underrated-they’re one of my favorite brands for reliable, quality palettes. I also have one of their mini 6 pans they released a few years ago in collaboration with Rachel Zoe, it’s called “Effortless Glamour”. I’ve seen it for sale still on Amazon, though its been awhile since I last checked. There’s a BEAUTIFUL white champagne gold metallic in the palette and it’s my absolute favorite for a halo eye-the way it catches the light and flatters my complexion…oh my goodness! 👌 I was so bummed Lorac didn’t release a new set of 6 pans this past holiday season-it makes me worried they aren’t doing well! AND you could really pair with other colours from other palettes!

I was looking at a Dior quint and a Tom Ford quad a few months ago, and ended up stumbling onto this palette instead. I had never tried the Lorac formula before and was blown away. I got a little Nars 6-pan around the same time and there is just no comparison; I reach for the Lorac every time. I'm glad you're spreading the word about this little gem! So glad I didn't throw my money at a 'luxury' item when this one does the job so well.

When I tell you I just RAN to buy this, I'm not joking. I don't usually make knee jerk purchases but this one pretty much merits exactly that. I am guilty of never giving Lorac a second thought. I know they are out there but it's never really caught my attention as something I wanted, until now. I bought 2 of the other iterations that were in stock as well and I can't wait to try them! I’m super into cool-toned neutrals, so this is right up my alley. Have been thinking about buying the Colourpop “Of Quartz” palette, but their formula are hit-and-miss to me (I’m the rarity, I know). This looks like a better purchase… I love Lorac’s formula.

When I realized LORAC is just "Carol" spelled backwards, the brand never felt the same for me. 🤣🤣

I hear good things about this brand and that color story is beautiful. I tend to have a lot of trouble with powder shadows irritating my eyes so I've been wearing cream and liquid for a while now. There is a part of me that wants this so bad but there's a part of me that knows it's just going to make my eyes red and itchy. I wonder if it's the mica or something else in powder shadows that my eyes don't like. I don't seem to have near as much irritation with creams. Lordy it's a beautiful color story 😍

Amanda, the way you describe the Lorac metallic shadows is perfect -- it applies to some of their previous palettes. I have the Unzipped Mountain Sunset palette that I love. A few of those shades seem to be similar to some in the Mystic Oak palette. Lorac has dropped off the scene. Too bad, because they often make great shadows. Thanks for the review!

I loooovee, love, love the size. I’m not huge neutral lover but when I can get it in mini version? Or single? My heart melts. Also textures in this palette make sense - I ussualy prefer matt eyeshadows but this screams luxury on the eyes. ❤ thanks for the video. Bye bye xx

I wanted this so bad when these first launched at Ulta but this particular one was sold out for the longest time and I just forgot about it! How funny to see it reappear now! Yea, I'll probably get it now...I've liked Lorac shadows for ten years now....they've been around and are one of the o.g. makeup brands...edit: I just went and purchased this one and the one called Sparkling...yes, I am easily influenced, but also, like I said, I wanted this when they launched but couldn't get it...so here we are, and I'm stoked for them!

i actually got this mini when i noticed it was new and i was conveniently looking for a small, cooler-toned shimmer palette. this one has two mattes but the shimmers deliver what i wanted! however, i do find that the pinky top left shimmer is more scattery, not as creamy as you described it? but for the price and what it gives, i love it!

They have 4 refill colors for the pro pallets to their maybe a shade u can use in those for 8$ I just checked on this pallet and it's sold out they don't know when it will be back in stock but I definitely would try it for 16$ it reminds me of ND glam mid size

I have the fairytale forest palette and love it. Lorac is still so good but, they stopped releasing new products for a long time.

Lorac still has some of the best shadows on the market. Their Meraki palette is a staple in my collection.

I saw that Meraki palette at TJMaxx or Marshalls the other day (I always hit both stores the same day, sorry I can't remember which one) for $12.99, passed it up bc all the browns looked too warm for me. I might have to go back...

This feels similar to the EM Cosmetics Divine Skies eyeshadow pallet Da Vinci. Maybe this one is cooler than that - but the mattes and shimmers look so similar in the swatches. And this is definitely cheaper than the EM Cosmetics one.

I bought one of the larger Lorac palettes. It was the Fairytale palette and it ran for 50% off the $39. $19.50 was a good deal. The pan sizes were a bit smaller than I expected, but the shades performed nicely.

@@cindycox218 I bought the Noir (October) & Fairytale (November) palettes on sale back in 2021. Ulta had Lorac palettes for sale at 50% off. It was just a random sale. They are not on sale at the moment, but I would certainly keep my eyes open. They have been on sale multiple times, since then.

Great video as usual! Very curious to know if the pans are removable like some of their bigger palettes, I really love the colour story but I prefer pans I can move to different palettes if needed.

Damn girl I had this purchased in a hot second in the first 48 seconds of your video. FYI this is $21 from Shoppers Drug Mart in Canada! They also sell the Fairytale Forest FULL Pro Palette for $47 but funny enough the six pans in the mini don't exist in the large one.
