With all due respect, the largest market square in Europe, not one of the largest. Best regards and enjoy your stay in Poland.
Bagels also originally come from Krakow. Obwarzanki were made already in the 14th century, and bagels began to be made by Krakow Jews in the 17th century. It was an occasional bake. They were given to women after a successful delivery. Emigrants brought bagels to the United States in the 19th century. They are a symbol of New York today.

I totally agree! There's so many fun things to do around the city 🥳
Kraków's main square is not only one of the biggest in Europe but it in fact is the biggest in Europe. And before 1820 there used to be earth embankments and a moat where the Planty park is right now.
@JayeshChhaya

Yes, it’s huge! We found Planty very interesting since they remained the same shape encircling the medieval walls around the Old Town 🧱🌳

Hi Guy's. I visited Krakow 13 years ago and it has changed mostly for the better. Could not get used to the transport system so we ended up walking all around the city. Bagels look and taste that's something unique to the region. Thank you for a wonderful video.

Thanks for sharing! I can imagine it looked completely different back then! Now all the big Polish cities are developing super fast and even a 3-year break makes a huge difference 😄 Yes, indeed, OBWARZANEK is such a staple Kraków snack so definitely needs to be tasted when in the city! 🥯

Yaaaaayyy! We also filmed a street food video - tried to captured what is the most local but let's see if we managed 😬
I'm not sure, but it seems to me that Krakow is still the capital of Poland in the legal sense. Why do I think so? Although King Sigismund III Vasa moved with his court to Warsaw, he never made it the capital of Poland. In documents, Warsaw was consistently referred to as his majesty's residential city, not the capital of Poland. And it was probably for this reason that until August III the coronations of the kings of Poland were held in Wawel Cathedral in Krakow. The king could reside wherever he wanted, but the coronation had to be in the capital.

This is very interesting 😊 Somehow Kraków has this more cultural atmosphere around and is richer in history whereas Warsaw is way modern now with a lot of HQs from international companies!

Another great video! I definitely want to visit that restaurant. The food looks so good especially the bigos and racuchy! Oh i visited that Cafe Camelot a few years ago on my visit to Krakow and even then they were a bit weird about taking photos or shooting a video with my phone. So i just took like 3-5 pics only but they kept telling us stuff. Btw are you guys on IG? would love to follow you guys there. Cheers from Korea.

Dużo radości i najlepszego, a ja oglądam dalej! ; ] Oh, and btw: Jayesh, I'm watching your vids cos you too! :D Cheers dude! ; ]

I think you are exaggerating the outrage that the cafe did not want to agree to filming. Some people don't like to be filmed and if the customers complain then the owner will not agree to such actions now. Understand this. For the owner and/or their clients this may be more important than possible advertising on YT. We may be surprised by such behavior, but it should be respected. Obwarzanek is the ancestor of New York bagels - bagels were invented by Polish Jews from Krakow - they modified the recipe for making an obwarzanek.
@JayeshChhaya

I wasn’t really outraged but more disappointed. They even said taking photos would be a problem lol? So that’s a bit strange. We are respectful towards other people around us and other KZreadrs have filmed there before. So it might be useful to take this into account rather then saying I’m exaggerating because the cake shop we went too we didn’t bother anyone. Nevertheless thanks for the interesting insight into the history of bagels!

YES AT KRALOW
9.54 The toilets now you have to pay for so I never use them. I like Krakow but it was nicer before in 1985 when I first went there. Today, as you showed here, it is so touristy with people hassling you the whole time with either expeditions going to see striptease or other visits, everybody just wants to sell you something. It was a much more natural working town forty years ago with Nowa Huta not so far away. I always prefer the old Poland with the Syrenka motor car and when they sold plastic records-remember those round plastic records with a hole in the middle?! I could buy Lady Punk, Manam, Baam and Budka Suflera to mention just a few famous Polish pop groups. Zapiekanka was sold everywhere on almost every street. I find the whole town rather slick nowadays and so expensive as well. It was a shame that you did not pick a nice bar mleczny called Bar Mleczny Pod Temida, the food is really good and I am sure you could have filmed as well. You were very near to this bar mleczny, in fact, you passed it on your way to the Wawel castle and it is also a bar mleczny that was once frequented by Michael Portillo on one of his train journeys. As far as making films in private areas go, yes, it is a shame that you could not film but I suppose on the other hand, do people want to be unpaid film extras in your videos? You are traveling and making films to earn money so I see both sides of the argument, you are a commercial business using the locals for free.
@JayeshChhaya

Very insightful! Thank you 🙏 I completely get your point with how nice probably things were couple of years/decades back but I cannot really compare it! Filming-wise, it’s quite difficult for us to find a sweet spot because some people love the camera, the others hate so we really need to adjust to the situation - which is okay because it’s not something super common to vlog in public!
Camelot owner might also be aware of privacy of his customers, that might be why he has a policy no pictures and videos
