Is this NEW 2018 Nissan 370Z WORTH another LOOK? - Raiti's Rides

The Nissan 370Z has been around since 2009. For 2018 Nissan decided to change a few things but left the rest mostly unchanged. Has Nissan created the perfect balance for the 370Z with it's 3.7L V6 that produces 332hp engine, and wonderful driving position? Check out the great drive of this 2018 Nissan 370Z.

I get compliments on my Z almost every week. It stands out a bit with a larger rear spoiler. I considered the pony cars but found this one stands out a bit more from the pack, even if it does not perform quite as well.

The true story here is that if your truly into car engineering. Then you have to look into all the curves and shapes in different angles to understand how far this design was ahead of it's time. Ford nor Chevrolet or any other car can compare to it's price and design. It's really a dream when I drive my 370z at 150 miles an hour and it doesn't give a shit! Can NISSAN make this car faster, totally! But most average Joe's would kill themselves pushing it to over 200 miles an hour. I truly believe them Japanese and American engineers can accomplish a faster speed due to the shape and aero dynamics of the 370z, to be continued I hope!!

The 370Z is a great platform to get you into a fun car in the USED market, you can get a sub 5 seconds to 60 car that handles great with some nice options in the 15-17k price range. I’m assuming the smaller twin turbo V6 is coming next and that is going to be a major game changer, especially if you plan on modifying.

I just wanted to say thanks Raiti for you interesting and informing car videos. I'm an old motorhead, dating back to Austin Healey Sprite and MGB in the 60s, to a Porsche 944s in the 90s, and I have to say that the current generation of the Z car embodies what is best and desirable in an affordable sports car for the modern world. It's not perfect, as all cars are necessarily a compromise over many areas, but I do think it comes very close to doing well in the areas that most sports car enthusiasts consider important.

About 5 months ago I bought a 2012 370z NISMO with less than 14,000 miles on it and I love it! Had several manual cars and trucks during my life but in 1999 had to get an automatic transmission 4 door sedan so I could put a car seat in and have missed driving a manual transmission until now. I recently found your channel and your videos are outstanding and I happened to find this one this evening. You definitely do have something for everyone! 😎👍

Over the course of my life, I've owned a 240, a 260, 2 280's, 2 350's and 3 370's so i speak from experience and wallet that these cars need very very little repairs over the course of ownership. Outside of normal maintenance, I've spent zero dollars in repairs in the last 15 years. No rattles, no squeaks and performs like a champ. The leather interior makes it much nicer than the video'd one. The body style is a classic just like all the others.

Raiti's Rides You can tell by the responses you have a bunch of young Kia drivers that can't afford the car nor the insurance. The Nismo is 50K plus and they want to add the stuff they see in X Box Forza. The car they are wanting would be in the 60-75 K range, way out of their reach. Why not just step up to the Nissan GTR? Why not, if they can't afford the $45k one why not ask for the $100K plus model that they couldn't even afford the Nissan maintenance on?

Claustrophobic is a matter of personal opinion. I had a Porsche 944s and I had a similiar feeling being inside both cars, liking them both. The 6.2L Camaro and 5.0L Mustang GT start at about $37K and $35K respectively, whereas the Z starts at about $30K. Go to the manufacturer's website, the MSRPs are there.

My 2013 370 just hit 61,000 miles this month and I gotta say every single mile so far has been a blast. I was impressed that you knew every little detail change that they've done from the previous years until now. My biggest complaint about this car is the lack of technology and all the cheap ass silver plastic bits, hell my Z doesn't even have the Nav screen. However, I understand where Nissan is coming from though, why spend big money upgrading these cars features when they're already designing the 2020 model. Can't wait for that Twin Turbo!

The 370 is a beautiful car can't argue that. But it is waaaaaay overdue for a complete re-design. Still has the same deck as g37's and doesn't even have telescoping steering wheel like the g37 does. I get that infiniti is nissan's luxury, but the 370 is already outdated in terms of it's features. It's 2018 and how long has the 370 been in prodocution? You see what I mean. I know this is unrelated but I also wanted to note how the keyfobs for nissan and infiniti are exactly the same from what I remember no matter what car. Nissan needs to get off there asses and stop being lazy. This car could have a lot of potential.

Thank you for doing this review, I loved it. I agree 100% that the z needs an oil pressure gauge instead of the extra clock. I have a Nismo tech and love it. Only issues are really the road noise on uneven roads and the visibility has to be learned to be lived with. Mainly if I want to change lanes I just out-accelerate everyone to move over.

Thanks, finaaly someone is beggining to understand this car. We are so used to cars being totally changed every few years. THe 911 has proven thats not necessary. I love the gradual evolution of the Z. As the reviewer said this is not a car to drag race a Camaro or Mustang with. For driving , this i your car. It's all about finess, Lets encourage Nissan to continue the evolution of the car. I'm 5-+ and own one and love it as a GT cruiser. I want to pick up one and build it as a time attack vehicle. The reviewer was correct, itsan excellent platform to build on. Nissan keep up he good work. Good review!

Bose is not a great when it comes to audio. My car has Bose and is not that great, but then again, the average person has no clue about sound. Manufacturer put Bose because it has name brand and it gives the car a more "upscale" feel, in reality, the difference between the base speaker and bose, aint that much if at all, they are overpriced, you are better off installing aftermaket ones

Its a 2016 Mazda 6 gt. It has 11 speakers. If I get new speakers, the bose amp won't be able to power them properly, so I would need a new amp too. The bose amp is located behind the passenger seat with a cover, which means an aftermarket one will have to be in the trunk or somewhere else exposed, which some people like, but i dont lol

Ok so let’s have the salesman in me come out and lets spin it the other way. In 1982 my Dad got a new 280ZX TURBO! 180HP STRAIGHT SIX ! T-Tops 2+2 and........a 3 speed automatic. BOO. But the engine was a beast for 1982. Even the 3 speed slushbox shifted very nicely. Of course I would much rather of had a 5 speed manual. And your 370Z with a proper 6 speed manual changes my whole perception of the car. I don’t care how great the paddles work and even though its no dual clutch it still shifts kind of snappy. And I’m sure this car will be bulletproof reliable. But I’m shocked that Nissan has only rebaked it for the past nine years.

Raiti's Rides I know this is a tough car segment but Nissan is screwing Z over once again. The Z car is iconic for Nissan and the introduction of the 350z in 2002 really put Nissan back on the map of an otherwise forgotten car brand. Of course the dumping of the economy in 2008 didn’t help but Nissan certainly didn’t need to reinvent the Z in 2009. They could have very well done a 350 tweek here n there which would have saved them money. I’m sure the 370 which is essentially a ground up new car wasn’t cheap. I love my 350 Nismo and it is much more of a sports car that the current Nismo Z offering. Might very well be the last of the real true Z sports car. Unless Nissan can figure out how do the next Z. Fingers crossed.

Great car, if only it was 10k cheaper lol. When I first started researching these 370z's couldn't believe those prices. Not a fan of dropping 30 grand (plus fees/tax & the finance interest) for a car that looks exactly like the 09 model 😂. Gonna keep trying the Used market.... hard to find them in my state. might take the jump on a slightly older one when I get out of my current car still deciding

    In Australia list price includes taxes , So a 370z Nismo is $61000aud with 10% gst , 370z N sport $48000aud with 10% gst
