I watched this news segment years ago where they asked a bunch of elementary schoolers what love is. one of them said, "when you love someone you know your name is safe in their mouth." that's still one of the best descriptions i've ever heard

I saw this paper written by a six year old titled “What is Love?” and it said: “Love is when you’re missing some of your teeth, but you’re not afraid to smile because you know your friends will still love you even though some of you is missing.” Just thought I’d share :)

Romantic, yet melancholic, and yet blissful; your works are enamored with this theme, but none of them are repetitive. I really enjoy them.

You are the exact composer I aspire to be. Emotional. Creative and always with a sense of rigid continuity that i dont want to finish It's hard to express but I know that in the future the world will look back upon Matsui as it has Chopin.

Recently I got my first ever crush since elementary school (I'm in college now, a lot of shit happened in between that ended up making it hard to feel those kind of emotions) and whenever I stare at this person my heart beats faster and sometimes I feel light headed and nauseous. I was really excited at first but now kind of just want it to go away. Honestly, it's a terrible experience but just being near them makes me happier than usual. This song feels a lot like the way I feel, it's very beautiful. Thanks for another great piece! :)

Chopin sounding aah piece, really great job, quite a fresh air to the romantic style

the sheer contrast whenever you swap major to minor is so flippin astounding! seeing pieces such as this that just hold so much emotion behind them is an amazement, and you literally encapsulated the very thing that I want to achieve with music I want to write! points for amazing inspiration Matsuii!

It is incredibly difficult to write music that moves people, im glad to know that i achieved it here :)

I absolutely love this, because it's melodies are like a softer effect of Chopin's ballades, while also being reminiscent of staggered 3rds and 4ths like Clair de Lune. Gives me chills, luv it :heart:

I'd describe this as childish love. It dances around the idea shyly. The discovery of a new emotion. The contrast from the right hand and left hand's deepness is childlike, unsure , floating butterflies, and just a sweet feeling of tension. Then when the climax of this little piece finally arrives, its like the realization that life is so much more colorful. However, the ending almost feels like you're saying goodbye. Kind of like a crush you had on a classmate but could never bring it up at risk of what you have. The feeling is almost fading but it is not a cry out or tantrum like chopin's ballad. It is difficult to put into words, its on the tip of the tongue, funny thats the whole story. Childish love on the tip of a tongue and forced to work through your feelings

Oh man…I happened to stumble upon this piece just now, as I’ve been dealing recently with this guy from my class who I’ve unintentionally developed a crush on…I’m so hurt and scared because I’m falling for him hard and I’m afraid I’ll be rejected if he finds out, I swore to never crush/fall in love again after years of pain and heartbreak, but it seems my heart still yearns for affection after everything it’s been through…echoing some other comments on here, when I’m near him, he makes me so happy and I feel natural around him, he makes me feel like I belong somewhere and to someone and we both love music hahaha!! He’s so charming and cool and overall, downright perfect and I’m still such a mess physically and mentally, with way too many flaws to count, but I can’t help but think of him and want him even if it’s next to impossible for us to be a thing…but gosh am I ever happy and grateful that he’s in my life RN. This piece perfectly encapsulates what I’ve been feeling, and such beautiful chords and motions you used!! Absolutely beautiful piece, I’ll have to listen to this better ASAP! You write in a way that skips words entirely and puts thoughts/emotion directly into sound. One of my favourite modern composers on piano.
