Is This Europe's BEST Roller Coaster? | HYPERIA Review
On Friday the 24th of May, Hyperia at Thorpe Park took its first public riders. I was there on this 'Golden Day' and managed to get two rides on this impressive coaster. On on the back and one 2nd row.
- Hyperia is the UK's tallest and fastest rollercoaster located at Thorpe Park in Chertsey, Surrey, England.
-The ride was manufactured by Mack Rides and opened as the tallest and fastest rollercoaster in the UK.
-Hyperia has a track length of 995.4m, making it the longest rollercoaster at Thorpe Park.
-Standing at 168ft high, Hyperia boasts the tallest loop in Europe.
-The ride features unique elements such as a glistening golden outward bank turn at the beginning of the ride station.
-Unfortunately, there was a closure of the ride, impacting the operation of the UK's tallest and fastest rollercoaster.

Best in the UK for sure, in Europe it’s probably top 10 - feel like it needs more theming for me to consider it any higher! Great video!!

Wow! Bit of a shock getting a comment from you, but thanks Dan! That's really kind! Id agree, it's 100% the UK's best coaster but when it comes up against some of the other coasters on Europe it falls behind slightly. Although no doubting the fact it's still a very good coaster and was a great addition to Thorpe (when it works anyway 😂) Cheers Dan!!

Idk about best in Europe but it definitely beats its counterpart Hyperion

@@bubbles2428 as much as I really enjoyed Hyperia and also had some pretty terrible rides on Hyperion, I'd still take Hyperion over it because of the few front middle seat rides I had on Hyperion. If the coasters wasn't as rough as it is in any other seat then Hyperion would easily be my No.1 but it gets knocked down to 4 or 5 because every other seat is awful
They can’t class this as a Europe coaster beacause it’s in the uk and uk not In Europe so technically icey this isent Europe’s best

@@nicolahowcroft2471 tbf inferno has been running very well this year. I wouldn't agree on the rough part, but then again I did Hyperia opening day, when it wasnt being called rough and I haven't done it since. 🤷♂️

@@thrillseekers_united Hyperia looks AWESOME, definitely the best in UK and maybe even top 5 in Europe. This because of the standout elements such as the first drop, the outerbanked roll and the stall. It's also so fast and tall so if you love heights and speed this could seriously be your favorite! The downsides that would prevent it to be my favorite are the lenght and the quantity of the elements: 35 seconds are very few, and those three are the truly "wow" elements of the ride but aside of those there's not so much. Also it depends on the seat because of course the best is the back, and you have to be lucky taking that seat. This seems to be the exact opposite of Voltron: quality over quantity, really. I valorise quality so I think I would prefer Hyperia over Voltron but a little bit more of "quantity" would have been great aswell! This is the reason I believe hyperia couldn't be considered the best in Europe but definitely one of the best

Id agree to an extent, I love Hyperia but it isn't 'world class' or even vest in Europe. Its my No. 5 coaster worldwide. Its very good, definitely UK best but when it up against rides such as the ones at Phantasialand, Europapark (Mainly Voltron) & Energylandia, because they are either so highly themed or just pure insane, its hard to rank Hyperia against them, if that makes sense. 🤷 That being said, I'm glad Hyperia is in the UK. Its been 30 years since we got a coaster on a lot of peoples bucket-lists (Not including Smiler, cos its awful 😂)
