My Dad just took me for a ride on his Polaris Slingshot and I loved it. It's an awesome ride, fun and it will run.

The Polaris and Morgan are 3 wheeled cars. The Slingshot even has a car engine in it. The Can-Am is a trike, 3 wheeled motorcycle. One of my friends has a Slingshot. It is cool, fun to drive. I borrowed another friends Morgan 3 wheeler several years ago and took my fiance out on a drive and date. I am saving for one of my own, is the most fun vehicle I have ever driven, and the cool factor is through the roof.

I'm you side that about all of those vehicles are so what is a goldwing or Harley three wheeler? It doesnt matter what they are everyone likes what they like and when you get together and ride 40 to 200 deep it's just nice whatever you drive .I'm a Can-Am man my wife and I just love bike riding 3 wheels or 2 wheel I don't care what you ride

I'm on my 2nd Spyder RT and love it. They forgot to mention that the Spyder goes 0-60 in 4 seconds. I've ryden across country, north rim of Grand Canyon in the summer (113 degree desert), throughout New England in the Fall (rain and temps dipping into the 30's) and never a single problem, ever. IMHO the Slingshot and Morgan are cars. Everything about them is car but with one less wheel. BRP says the Spyder isn't a motorcycle but is a ryding technology all to itself, however most of us just refer to it as a motorcycle for ease of conversation. The difference between sitting on a Spyder and sitting in a car is night and day. On a Spyder you're in/part of the environment. In a car you're just looking at the environment. The technology in the Spyder is amazing. Besides what was mentioned it has a "Nanny" computer. If you go around a corner too fast and a wheel starts to lift the computer senses it and reduces the torque and puts the wheel back down. Talk about safety. That's what they touched on in the video. So you won't flip a Spyder unless you try really hard to on purpose. Personally, keep the slingshot and the Morgan, and the Morgan isn't worth anything near $80K. My top of the line RT Limited stickers for about $30K, but I paid about $27K out the door. The RT is a road cruiser for longer trips. There are several levels/models of Spyder from sport performance to cruising and everything in between.

If folks enjoy these 3 wheel vehicles that's cool. For me: If it doesn't steer with counter steering and doesn't lean into corners, it ain't a motorcycle.

xXzeTaco49Xx Yeah man...They got it backwards! To me trikes is "cheating." Ha! Nothing against those machines or the folks who ride 'em. I never rode one but I can't image it gives that same feeling you get when you're balance on two wheels. I would think, especially on that Can-Am, that it would feel like the vehicle wants to lose you. Like it hopes you fall off. On two wheels you're just one with the machine.

Wiser InTime Trikes are great for people who want to get out and ride but for whatever reason cannot do so on a two wheeled machine.

I rode a Can Am Spyder on a 500 mile trip and being a 45 yr motorcycle rider, I liked it. Despite having three wheels, it's a motorcycle. It's well designed and built and the semi automatic shift makes it so easy to ride anyone can do it. After all, more riders is a good thing.

I wish I could afford a Morgan, I'm sorry but that Slingshot looks like it was parked in a trash compactor. I wish these small shop guys would realize that you dont HAVE to make everything look like a Transformer or the Batcycle. BTW why the hell WASN'T the T-Rex included in this?

ZesPak OK they're huge in the world of Snowmobiles and ATVs but they aren't really on the same scale of magnitude as Honda either. Don't get me wrong, I love the concept of the trike like the Slingshot, but that bodywork does look like it got parked in a trash compactor and turn off halfway thru, I have the same problem with the T-rex, which in some body panel configurations looks like a big nargly lugie frozen in mid-spit. At least the Morgan and even the CanAm have cleaner lines. I wish there were body panel options for the Slingshot so it didnt have to look like a Darth Vader sqwishy face. BTW why the hell WASN'T the T-Rex included in this?

KlunkerRider That way you're always right, no-one is on the same scale of magnitude as Honda :D. I do agree the back end could have more thought put into it. But I wouldn't mind it, especially for the price they manage to make it. The morgan looks vastly better finished, but it's also reflected in the price of course. You pay your monies....

KlunkerRider You greatly underestimated Polaris Industries, They're one of the fastest growing companies over the last 10 years, They've bought out over ten company's in the last 5 years, They saved KTM from having to close it's doors, They Bought out GEM (ugly little electric cars) they own stock in FUJI heavy industries (makers of Subaru) and so much more. Polaris is building multiple new facility's across the globe. The company's stock has grown over 300% since my Mom started working for them. When my mom started working for Polaris all they built were Jet Ski's, Snowmobiles and Atv's and were a very small company, Fast forward 20 years Honda has killed off bits and pieces of the company and Polaris is expanding. A huge factor in Polaris's growth has been the Military Contract's. The only reason Honda remains a bigger company is due to it's Car manufacturing. I'm a Ski-doo, Ducati and Yamaha guy as far as toys go but the sheer growth of Polaris over the last ten years has been amazing. Polaris didn't feel effects of the recession they boomed their way threw it with the Ranger and Rzr lines. My mom gets more polaris stock every year and if they wouldn't have diversified at all her retirement package would have been enough to maybe buy a new truck but now due to the sheer growth of the company she's going to be just fine when she retires. She moved to Roseau for the job because were i grew up there wasn't much work most of the Iron Mines had been closed and she was sick of barely scraping by so she moved up north to make 10 bucks an hour back than which was huge for her. Polaris keeps buying companies and rumors have it they are going to expand into even more than they are now, Polaris has it's foot in almost every industry to some extent. hard to believe Polaris got it's start in a Farm Shop by some bored kids who were just messing around. One of Polaris's Founders also started Arctic Cat which seems silly as they're such big rivals in the Snowmobile world. In another 20 years it wouldn't surprise me to see Polaris Surpass Honda in every aspect.

Knallkoper Morder TMI, don't get me wrong, I have no beef with them as a company, its purely the aesthetics of the Slingshot that erks me. Something that small could have customizable body panels. Its the crushed Batmobile/Transformers vibe that rubs me wrong.

Great video guys. I liked that you choice the vehicles that you did to compare. I would have like to have seen 0-60mph and 1/4 mile tests, though. I love my Spyder F3S. I traded in my 2014 RT for it. I think it is great, but I do look for aftermarket performance parts (pipes are available). I can see why motorcyclists may or may not like them. I am a car guy that really thought long about buying this as another toy. Glad I did!

+Scott S Hey Scott , I've got a 2010 RS, When looking for a new pipe for mine, i didn't like the look, sound or bulkyness (what i was trying to get rid of) of the standard Two-Brothers, Yoshimura, ect pipes available. Instead, I bought a 2 1/2" dia. Super-Trapp pipe, installed 4 rings and an open end-cap and....Holy Crap!!! not only does it sound awesome, deep, throaty and powerful, it really opened her up and let her BREATH!. I thought she was quick before. Now it's just wicked. I get plenty of compliments about it. Most people have no idea the performance of the things.

I would love to get our Tri Pod reviewed in amongst these choices on day ( including T Rex as well). At half the weight of the Slingshot and a somewhat more developed steering feel (judging by the commentary in this excellent wrap up) it would interesting to hear what they think.

MORGAN for sure, no doubt about it.

Really sucks that the Morgan is so expensive. If it was anywhere close to the price range of the polaris or Can-am, I'd get one in a second. They are super cool.

You guy's forgot the T-Rex models!

This was a good honest review. A lot of people just hate on the Slingshot. I love mine but I'm not gunna pretend it's perfect. You guys did a fair and honest evaluation.

What are the negatives of owning a Slingshot?

One thing that was completely over looked is deprecation of value after purchase, the morgan may be by far the most expensive but check back i 10-20 years the morgan will be an investment and the others will just be outdated toys

Just curious, would it be out of the question to swap in a Rotax 1500cc Supercharged 260 HP Triple from a Sea Doo? Randy AKA randog311 (I own a 2015 Sea Doo GTX 260 iS Limited and also the original owner of a 1983 Suzuki GS100ESD).

Great review and crew 5 mins per vehicle is a good standard, Sean I think personal watercraft ATV..

Nice comparison, I like your take on it, but personally I prefer the other spyders over the F3, just because of rider position. But a major question remains, can you turn off Stability Control and all that stuff on the spyder?? Thanks, for anyone that knows

That was great, thank you! (belatedly). Is it not time to take another entertaining look at the Trike scene? We have the new Morgan, and there are more Tilting Trikes around, too. I like those, having experimented a bit as an engineering student. OK, it was a pushbike with a removed front wheel replaced by a couple of lengths of Dexion Slotted Angle and a big roller-skate on a hinge. But (on really smooth concrete) it did handle just like a bike....with five wheels! We also raced a Bond 875 - don't try this at home, kids! Delta trikes do so want to flip if you turn and brake.

I've driven a Spyder, and I think the best comparison to another vehicle would be riding a snowmobile. The way you steer and sit really gives a similar feel.

I just saw a slingshot today on the highway it looked badass. Very surprised that it is only 20k thats awesome I thought it was going to be way out of my range of possibly being able to purchase.I wanna get behind the wheel soooooooo bad.

Well i finally tried out the SLINGSHOT and that is definitely the way to go for me. You can't beat the price, comfortable, sound, storage, and handling on any other 3 wheel bike out there and I am not paying for the Harley name. I can buy 2 Slingshots brand new for the same brice fully loaded for 1 Harley trike not fully loaded. Sad situation I think. Each to there own choices I guess. Happy riding people. Hello, U.K Motor bike has always referred to 2 wheel Solo bikes. These to give them their correct name are Reverse trikes because the 2 wheels are at the front. The original Morgan did not have a reverse gear so it could be driven on a normal Motor bike licence. Andy C

Why is there a turbo on the Polaris Slingshot motor at 6:14 ?

I don't care what you call it, growing up driving MG's and Triumphs makes the Morgan right up my ally. It just screams leather helmets, gauntlet gloves, and fleece lined jackets. The only color it should come in is British racing green with RAF meatballs on the side.

My motorcycle dealership has two slingshot sls and i love the look of them. but of course i live in texas so theyre just showroom paper weights until we can get the nannying to stop. they do look amazing. gonna take one for a spin this weekend.

I think they are all great. Choices are always a good thing 👍. I might buy a Spyder one day

They are awesome coming from a guy that also rides a 2020 Rocket 3r and 2011 Vulcan Vaquero!

The key to the Spyder in turns is to hold the throttle or let off the throttle, trying to accelerate while in the turn or too early coming out is the best way to lock things up. I like the Spyder, but it takes a lot of seat time to get the hang of the driving system.

Back in the day the Brits had a vehicle taxation regime which paid some attention to weight. Originally to drive a 3-wheeled vehicle (i.e. a motorcycle and sidecar), on a motorcycle licence you had to pass a full motorcycle test. When your licence was issued you were given a B1 class on your licence as well, which gave you the right to drive a vehicle with 3 or 4 wheels up to 550 kg, but B1 licences stopped being issued in 2001. Now if you have a full motorcycle licence and are over 21 you may drive a 3-wheeled vehicle of any weight. Three wheel vehicles as sold by Morgan and BSA in the 1920/30s, were very light and could be driven on a motorcycle licence. They even made three wheeled four seaters powered by Ford side-valve motors. In later years, Reliant, Bond, Berkeley and more, made three wheelers with various engines and glass fibre bodywork. All were regularly reviewed in the motorcycle press. I personally drove a Berkeley T60, a 1950 Morgan Family Four with a Ford engine, a 1930s Morgan powered by a Matchless V-Twin, and a 1960s Reliant Regal at various times. As far as I know they could all be driven on a car licence as well.

lane splitting is illegal in Canada so that throws that theory out about not being a motorcycle, all three wheel cars in Britain are classified as motorcycles for as long as I can remember, it allowed younger drivers a chance to drive a vehicle back in the day and they used to block the reverse so you can't back up until you became older, nowadays you can drive at 16 and get your license with a driving course at school. in Britain you can only ride a small cc motorcycle until you reach a certain age or pass your driving test (not sure what age). I would love to get a Polaris slingshot.

Did you test the F3 Can Am in sport mode?

All 3 of these trikes are rear-wheel-drive. It'd be interesting to see what people would call the Elio when they finally start selling, seeing as the Elio is front-wheel-drive.

These are looking nice and everything but...the Scorpion P6 still has my vote in terms of 3-wheeled car-types. It's Awesome!

It was said previously here by +SAVikingSA, the Spyder is like a snowmobile. Maybe it's a Canadian thing. Folks here caught on quickly to operate them like a snowmobile or an ATV. You lean to the outside to give the outside wheel more weight. The rider in this video was leaning into curves in such an exaggerated manner, it didn't surprise me to see that instance of it going hairy on the S bend. Maybe if the day comes where I'm physically unable to keep a motorcycle upright, I'd look at an alternative. But by then, we'll have affordable bikes with the double front leaning steering system. Got to have the lean :) The Slingshot up close looked kind of iffy for safety if an absent minded passenger wasn't careful. The seating is as far outboard or more so than any other part of the machine, with just a few tubes between your body, elbow, arm, etc. and whatever comes your way. Definitely a hooligan ride that will grab lots of attention though. Bring on the sunny days.

I have a Slingshot and love it. Yes it has faults, but don't they all. Too many people come into the Slingshot expecting too much. It looks Great, fun to drive and is well worth the money not like the other two. Polaris done a good job, they could do some tweaking, but for the most part it's good.

Yes, I love the comparison of the 3 wheelers. I have a Can Am 2012 and wish it was a 3 cylinder model but the trade in value does not seem fair. so I keep the 2112 model. I like the Slingshot but not the heat problem for the passenger. Yes, there is a heat problem and it must be corrected before I would buy one. Id but the Morgan in a heart beat if it was realistic in the $30,000. 00 dollar area. No reason that the Morgan is starting at $50,000.00 as a basic unit.This vehicle could be a winner if the Morgan people would be true full with their sticker prices.Then some one else should buy the Morgan package and go into production at a releasable rate and sale the HELL OUT OF THEM.

Morgan are selling three-wheelers as fast as they can produce them. They're hand-built so it's not as if they're going to double production any time soon. Why would they drop the price? People who buy Morgans like the fact they they last forever and hold their value.

As far as I see it, if you have 3 wheels, you might as well have 4. You are still going to be left in the dust by the lane splitter s when the traffic gets stuck. I really wish at least one of these looked at least close to as cool as the Ariel Atom. The Slingshot would be VERY cool, if it didn't have such a Bat Mobile vibe about it, but probably fun to ride in though.

Can-Am is a trike, the other two are 3 wheeled sports cars.

I would have liked them to throw in the Harley Tri-Glide as a 4th trike and see their comments as to how it handles comparatively. Wonder if the "not a motorcycle" crowd gives the Tri-Glide a pass?

The original can am is a ski doo snowmobile modified to cross the seasonal gap and make use of a great existing platform. not a fan of the breaking of the stability systems. if you like driving a sled then can am is a blast. Polaris, also being a huge maker of snowmobiles, pulled of a cool vehicle.

In Europe I saw a lot of the new Morgans with Moto Guzzi engines. People loved them.

The Can-am is a motorcycle the Grinnall Scorpion III has a motorcycle engine, rear and electrics. The Morgan has a V-twin motorcycle styled engine. The Polaris Slingshot has only one thing taken from a motorcycle and thats the rear drive! Its engine and gearbox is from a Car! As usual NO sign of a GRINNALL SCORPION III...... I own a Grinnall Scorpion k40 with a BMW K1300cc motorbike engine which develops 467BHP/ton and has the performance that easily matches a £70,000 ($112,000) Sports car. This little K40 can get from 0 to 60MPH in around 3 seconds and will easily manage 150MPH. Every time a slingshot appears you can bet that there will be NO Grinnall Scorpions in the same video. The new K40 has an even wider front track which drastically reduces the risk of rolling over. About time these 2 cars got together in the same video i think!

I think the T-Rex preceded the can-am spyder. I could be incorrect, but i recall that as the first 3 wheeled vehicle oriented towards performance.

T-Rex came out mid 1990s. But people have been building performance 3 wheelers since the beginning of the 20th century

lokisgodhi that's what i was intending to convey. I just emphasized the t-rex in terms of modern vehicles. The video states the can-am as the first in recent memory.

Most folks who doesn't own one will have negative things to say. If you have a bike, three or two drive want you want. I own a CBR 954 and a Slingshot and I then showed some folks what it can do. If you can afford either then bump what the next person think.

The Can Am is more like a summertime snowmobile!

The Can-Am is a motorcycle with an added wheel. The Morgan and Polaris are cars with one wheel removed. The Spyder is geared towards people that can't or don't want to hold up a 2 wheeler. The Morgan and Slingshot were "classified motorcycles" to get around the passenger car safety regulations. This is clearly apples to oranges.

+sno4brains The Spyder is an ATV with one wheel removed. It doesn't steer like a motorcycle, it steers like an ATV. And some guys can really rocket their ATVs even on the gravel shoulder of the road. They'd be right at home on a Spyder.

I have a spy racing quad, which is in a different price range, but they do make a three wheel version which is more affordable for the likes of us, Chinese made etc whit all the problems and lots of fun and admiring looks too.

Pushing the Spyder requires a different skill-set. It can be done, but you have to learn to get over the high-side feeling and lean-in hard.

I think the Can-Am is pretty fucking cool and plan to buy one. It's pretty awesome for what it is....but to me, it's a "Motortricycle." I love bikes as well but I respect motorcycles for what they are and wouldn't consider a Can-Am a motorcycle.

papersly vg The Morgan was built that way to make it more affordable in the 1910's and 20's so Morgan could avoid car taxes so people of humbler means could afford motored vehicles thus creating the classification of "cyclecar" which is what the slingshot and 3 wheeler are. Though personally i find the slingshot ugly with to many straight lines, that huge gap between the wheel and fender, and just how you sit in it though i get a lot of people like that "stealth" look its just not me. Also I have always found the spyders to be ugly and also have thought of them more as quad bikes with a missing wheel so i guess "trio bikes". Though i feel they are going in the right direction with the F3 it still inst there yet for me to want to drive it every day. The Morgan on the other hand I think the lines are great everything just "fits" to me I also love that its made by craftsmen and not machines of course the trunk is bad though the slingshot and the Morgan have about the same trunk space which is about the size of one saddlebag and its a bit pricey starting at about 35k for used and 41K to 55k witch is about the price of a low end Porsche but for the money there is not a better driving experience in my opinion.

Exactly what I thought! Can-Am is a BRP brand along with Ski-Doo which makes snowmobiles. It is a street legal snowmobile from a company famous for snowmobiles!

Is the Can-Am F3 still use a rotax? In my opinion, the best snowmobile engine of all time. Owned them since 1969, and I still ride my 69' Bombardier 12-3 when we actually have snow. Rotax reliability has overtaken the small plane engine market.

They upgraded their 1000ccm V2 to a 1330ccm 3 cylinder in line. with 115 bhp and alot of torque.The perfect engine for a crusing vehicle like the can am is

It's to bad they couldn't use their 850cc E-tec Rotax snowmobile engine. 165 hp . Fast as helll! But 2 stroke. I remember when a lot of road bikes were 2 stroke, 70's.

That spider is like riding a jetski. My something I'd own though...the Morgan is another matter entirely, I'd even consider trading in the gixxer.

A Slingshot passed opposite me this morning on the way to work. Didn't know it at the time, but it certainly caught my eye. When 3rd wheel revealed, thought maybe I'd entered the yawning moment of witnessing a collision ahead of me. Gratitude for my safety after passing. That is all.

The can am spyder is the only reason I'm getting my motorcycle license. And I'm an avid mountain biker.

The can am spider is the only motorcycle here in my opinion the other two are 3 wheeled cars

If it was legally classified as a motorcycle (which it is) technically it can lane split. I don't know why dmv doesn't just create a 3 wheeled class, problem solved..

I agree. I've been riding for 35 years. I have my 2014 Spyder RS sitting in my garage next to my Yamaha Star Bolt and my Suzuki Boulevard (currently under repair). There are millions motorcyclists who don't live in California who don't worry about lane splitting. Here, in upstate New York, we do worry about bad weather and wet, falling leaves this time of year. My Spyder has even been out in the snow.

the Spyder is the only one considered a motorcycle in Canada, and even it handles more like a snowmobile. And why did Poaris put a shaft drive in the Slingshot, and then connect it too a belt drive instead of using a large touring bike rear end?

80k for the Morgan? A stripped Corvette Z06 is 80k (or a loaded Stringray or Boxster). No way I'd pay for the Morgan. No freaking way.

@@truknz71 True, but I said I would not pay. If others want to, have at it. But your implied point is 100% correct, anything is worth whatever anyone is willing to pay for it. Beyonce bought Jay-z a $5M watch for a birthday. I am sure there is enough supply of these vehicles to exactly match buyers.

I wish the slingshot would be more all weather. Add some doors, a roof. you know, something more like a roadster cockpit. Seems very doable

Are they ever going to put an DCT transmission in the Slingshot or a semi auto like on the Can Am? I'm not a manual driver not even on motorcycles I love the Honda DCT transmissions and the Can Am's semi auto, the manual is the only thing preventing me from serious looking at the Slingshot they are eliminating half the market they could have.

Owning 3 Spyders i love then i drove a Slingshot and it would be fun riding one at the beach, but a Meata is more fun, as for a Morgan, well, like you guys said, too expensive, i have the money and could buy one BUT, truely not worth the price!

IMO, closest thing there to a motorcycle is the Can-Am

I couldn't agree more Night Rider. The Sling Shot would be great with 1 more tire and some beef to that engine.

I like the DMV definition. With a caveat; Must a saddle between the legs, and use hand controls similar to conventional motorcycles, and must have less than 4 wheels on the main operational unit. Meaning, the Spyder is a motorcycle, the other two are really terrible cars.

I disagree I own a Slingshot and it is a fun vehicle (auto cycle), after driving a Slingshot, cars, SUVs are boring. If you put any sedan/SUV next to a Slingshot, the Slingshot is going to get all the looks. Plus the Slingshot is faster than most cars and SUVs. Rent a Slingshot and see how much fun they are to drive, especially the one with a five speed manual transmission.

They look cool but the fun of motorcycling is straddling and leaning. You might do some in the CanAm but it's like being a kid again riding with training wheels.

Time for an update and add a Niken GT?

4:34 guy on the right is thinking, "Cheap my ass. ughh I don't want to do this damn comparo. I want my bike or a bike." xD

I do like the Morgan design though.

I may get plenty of hate for this but, personally, I like the Slingshot. Why? It's extremely lightweight, simple, affordable and it lacks practicality (which makes it much more fun). It's simply about enjoying the drive and it makes no compromises to achieve that goal. I don't know how to ride a motorcycle (and I feel it's too dangerous) so obviously I have no idea what sort of fun I'm missing out on. I feel like the Slingshot is worth the money but feel free to tell me I'm wrong or w/e.

My only question is, instead of the Can-Am Spyder, why did you not include the Trex? Wouldn't that be a more reasonable comparison? After all, the Spyder fits the motorcycle pattern better while the Trex is a much more similar design.

in the UK, anyone who passed their car test after 2013, is not allowed to drive these as they are classed as tricycles and require a motorcycle licence to operate.

Cars, motorcycles are you guys kidding? These are trikes as in tricycles (meaning 3) in the UK if a vehicle has three wheels, regardless of whether it has handlebars or a steering wheel, in-line seating or side by side it is registered as a tricycle provided it does not exceed a certain weight limit.

They're small 3 wheel cars. Haven't you ever watched Top Gear?

What you have here is a "shoot out" between a three wheeled motorcycle (trike) and two three wheeled CARS. Over the years there have been other companies that have made 3 wheel cars and they were upfront and called them cars. Messerschmidt, Reliant, Snyder, Shotwell and Morgan are some. Yes, Morgan themselves made several different three wheeled CARS in the early 1900's. (they called them cars) and the Morgan you see here is basically a "replica" of the Morgan Super Sport built in the late thirties. On Morgan's own website, describing the 3 wheeler, they even call it a CAR. "When did you last regard a journey by motor car as an adventure? The Morgan 3 Wheeler is designed to bring the fun and passion back to personal transport." Their words, not mine. The Slingshot and Morgan are CARS plain and simple. You sit IN them (not on them), have foot pedals for the gas, brake and clutch, and steer them with a steering wheel. The slingshot has a GM CAR engine and the Morgan has a Mazda CAR transmission for crying out loud. They are farggin' CARS. They may be fun to drive, grossly overpriced modes of transportation, but they are CARS not motorcycles. They are just wanting the motorcycle classification so they don't have to meet safety regulations. If they were called cars, they would have to have airbags, side impact reinforcement and crumple zones for front and rear impact. And they don't have to meet the same emission regulations. According to California Air Resources Board, motorcycles are 10 times more polluting per mile than a car, SUV or light truck. Some palms were probably greased to get the motorcycle classification. You can't put a single rear wheel on a Mustang convertible and call it a motorcycle, so these things are CARS. Although, I will admit, I think the Morgan is cool looking. It looks like something built back in the twenties or thirties to race at Indy. But $80,000? Puleeze..... At half that price, they would still be hideously overpriced.

This reminds me of Pluto's demotion to a dwarf planet in that the definition is important to the classification. It came down to one thing that lead to Pluto's demotion and that was that it failed to clear it's path around the sun of orbital debris. To me it's one thing that makes all three of these not a motorcycle and that is the fact that a motorcycle leans to corner. Not one of these do that. That's why I see two three wheeled cars and an arse backward ATC. If all that was needed to make them motorcycles is that they be powersports then you have applied a partial definition to the term powersport. Four items are needed to make them powersports, first they definitely have and that is an engine of some sort, second is it leaves the operator exposed to the elements, third is they have a handlebar, fourth is you straddle it. Only one is straddled, only one has a handlebar, only one is a powersport and I refuse to accept it as a motorcycle as you do not lean to steer it. In my opinion being a powersport does not make the Can-Am a motorcycle. Further if it is now the case and we are now accepting vehicles that have steering wheels and you sit in as powersports and all powersports are motorcycles then I nominate all roadsters cars like the S2000, Miata, the MGB, and the Model A to be allowed to register as motorcycles. Just because all motorcycles are powersports does not mean all powersports are motorcycles.
