I follow a few lightsaber channels. I prefer licensed sabers. I would be $150-$200 depending on accessories, condition, and box. That specific saber I'd be at $175.00.

I love how fair and honest you are with trades! My local shop always makes me feel like I’m getting ripped off!

I think your offer of a hundred in trade was WAY more than fair. People have to realize that the toy market fluctuates just like any antique or collectible. I know it’s hard to sell something for less than what you paid for it. We’ve all been there, all done it. Sellers need to realize this and not walk into a store with high expectations, unless of course you have an item that’s super rare or old that’s worth buco bucks

Neopixel is just the blade. It just means that there are LEDs going up the length of the blade. These are all 3rd party and are made relatively the same. Cost is generally between 200-250. The price is really determined by the the board in the hilt. Custom sabers can go from 5-$800 depending on what electronics are used. $100 is an ok aftermarket purchase price for you for this particular saber.

That custom saber is light years better than anything Master Replicas produces.

But master replicas were made not to be annoying honestly in what reality dose a lightsaber have a voice master replicas are purely for display and as a collectible so are definitely better quality than any money grabbing custom made crap

I wish you guys would include some footage of people buying stuff. When people sell for trade, I want to know what they take home in exchange for their old joes. Or just random people buying random stuff.

For the saber you guys are spot on - It's an Imperial Workshop Revenant V2 and it is brand new for 225 right now - So it's about 100 resale wihtout box and all that - I think you guys were more than fair on the saber - That ChewFurby I actually sold mine last month for likw 29 bucks on ebay haha - Always cool to see your videos -

We all want to make our money back or more, but the reality of being a collector is, you're buying stuff because you love or enjoy it. Not because you hope to get your money back when you decide to get out of it. That's just a cherry on top if you can.

Oh absolutely, when it comes to a true collector. Obviously this is a bit different considering these guys are running a business. But yeah, some ppl simply buy figures to make money off them, and could give two shits about what they are. Them be scalpers! Rrrrrrrrr!

Hard to give you an honest nonscripted show and great audio. We do what we can.

The guy who brought in the Star Wars stuff looks like the guy who works at your shop. lol like they could be brothers.

Great episode and I look forward to these every Saturday. Maybe the guy didn't use his trade that day but I would have loved to see what he picked up with the trade if he did.

I remember those giant tie fighters getting clearances on Amazon for like $50 free shipping. It’s a shame they didn’t do the traditional tie fighter. I think it would have sold better.

What do you do with all the figures that you deem not case worthy? I'd imagine you're going to have collectors and customers that don't care to spend a pretty penny for the mintiest figure but will be fine with some flaws at a cheaper price. I see vintage star wars bought all the time for people to customize/re-paint so I feel if at some point you have too many of X because can't get it's accessory or it's flawed maybe sell for those types of collectors?

they need big kneepads for gardening or car work, they are amazing trust me lol

These days, the 3rd party sabers blow the licensed ones away, especially those with neopixel and proffie cores. The Disney parks, and Hasbro ones are trash compared to neopixel and proffie loaded sabers.

I’m curious what Toy Federation’s stance is on original price stickers on vintage toy packaging? Does it detract from the value or does it add some “history” to the item, showing where it was purchased and how much it sold for? I realize it might be a matter of preference, but I’m curious what you think.

It's amazing how important licenses are to collectors. I mean seriously? Who cares. If it's cool it's cool no matter who makes it. Also that lightsaber wasn't even accurate to the ROTJ which it is based on. It's a cheap knockoff but he is correct that the blade is about a 100 bucks. The saber itself is probably 80 bucks max.

I doubt that guy got a proffie or other expensive neopixel saber board. The blade is more expensive than the saber. He probably brought it for 180 bucks max so resale on that saber is gonna be low especially since the saber is not even accurate.

That saber is worth like 400 bucks. Its probably a parksaber. It lòoks like the Luke saber from ROTJ. That tie is like 200. Wow, u ripped him off

@@toyfederation i was talking about the lightsaber. Go check the prices of ultrasabers or parksabers. These guys have been selling unofficial sabers for 20 years. They average 300 dollars. Ive met them at comics cons.
