    From my experience, the toughest race buggy and truggy is the Tekno EB48 2.0 Buggy and Truggy are built like tanks. Tekno 1/10 scales are also constructed with 1/8 scale parts. The MT410 2.0 and the SCT410 2.0 both are tanks too. If you can find a good deal on them you should check them out. Rich Duperdash has sent them to the moon and beat them in skate parks. Crazy tough.

    Absolutely. I've owned multiple original MT410s which are pretty similar to the 2.0s. One of them was my daily basher for almost 6 months and it held up really well overall. I've got some videos on the MT410 2.0 :-)

    This is a great vid. Wish there were more low cost premium brand builds on a budget out. This is in a 3s RTR basher price range for an 8th scale awesome build. Thanx a lot. Unfortunately on ebay everyone wants top dollar for everything theyr selling. Gotta search elsewhere.

    I found that Facebook is the best place to find the deals. The rollers don't come up all the time but especially when a new model first comes out you'll see the market flooded with a bunch of previous generation options.

    Many race bugies are really durable for surviving hard landings on for example dirt track. Bashing is like training round for them :-) I have Serpent SRX8e pro, it is very durable. And it is not so hard to make basher from it. Watterproof electronic and wheels :-) The similar you did. I left Serpent for the track and im in progress to make onroad basher from Typhon 6S. Some clone or rallye with Lancia body :-) In this class is almost every choice good. Associated, TLR, Xray, Serpent, maybe more brands but i seen on live this few and all of them survived so much. My friend is tired/bored of Serpent kits, because it is the same for many years and want some changes, so He will switch to Asso. The i get second hand Serpent from Him for half a price :-) I have only one question. How about motor mount? I never used this round shape. Every my truck had slidding mount. Can you compare it?

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    Жыл бұрын

    Yeah it's really cool How much you can get for not a lot of money. Once a new version of a vehicle comes out everybody switches to it and for racers the previous version loses most of its value. Definitely an awesome option to get great handling and durability at a low price!

  • @martins2657

    @@DoRC Sure but im who buy it for half a price and im happy for this possibility. Im just racing with my friends for fun but now can see huge gap when i control Serpent or hobby(Typhon) truck on the track. Older profi buggies is problem to sell it in our County, because many hobby ppl does not know the race brands and hear only on Arrma, Traxxas etc. And offer just a funny money(for eg 100$) for profi race truck, because of lack knowledge about it. So seller has to be very patient or know someone who wants it and can afford reasonable price. Is optional solution, make a rally or bashing buggy from race special. Or just keep it like spare buggy when something break on main. Rather then sell it to someone who does not know the value for no-sense low price.

    Hello, when you were testing the Surpasshobby new 150 esc, you were running the wrong motor? so you had some kind of input delay, you need to run there new motor which a port for the temp sensor, while running the correct motor I had no delay; I'm testing the systems in 3 buggys over 3 months, so far I'm super happy .

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    Жыл бұрын

    Yeah I suppose it's possible that running it with their motor could be better but any sensorless ESC should work properly with any sensorless motor. If it doesn't it just means the ESC isn't designed properly to be compatible with standard sensorless motors. That being said I'm glad that you're not experiencing any delays! Even the delay I did experience wasn't that bad and was really only super noticeable when I was putting a lot of stress on the system with big tires.

    Yeah the front rear differentials definitely need thicker fluid for bashing. I did up the fluid in the center diff after the on road portion. I was really amazed with how well this thing did and yeah I do like it best with the biggest tires :-)

  • @DoRC

    @DoRC

    Жыл бұрын

    Yeah I'm starting to think I need to put more of my good landings in the videos. It's kind of a three-part thing. The first is that I'm intentionally being as hard as possible on things because I'm trying to test to see how durable they are (I'm often testing more than one thing at once as well.) The second is I put the crashes in the video more than the good landings because they're more dramatic. The third is that it is kind of difficult to drive and record at the same time (I guess 3.5 would be that most of the bashing I'm doing in the videos is either with a car I've never driven before or with a configuration I've never driven before.) That being said yes I can land jumps when I want to :-). Crashing is more fun though! Thanks for watching and if you enjoy the videos anyway a sub is appreciated.

    You just have to keep an eye on the RC sales groups. Some people sell former race vehicles for pretty high prices but you can also frequently find them for not much money at all. I paid $160 for mine though. I see them pretty regularly for under $200 as a used slider.
