Everything that this guy does with his tutorials are spot on. He throws out the garbage and just shows what's important. The chords at the beginning help to let you know whether or not you can play the song at a quick glance. In addition, you can also perfect the chords before you start to play the song. The fact that other guitarists on KZread aren't doing what this guy is doing is honestly pretty sad. I've learned this song 10 times faster than I would've done with other videos because of this guy. It's super annoying that a 3 minute long song can balloon up to 20 minutes minimum because Mr. Guitarist wants to explain every little detail about how your fingers should lay on the frets. Thanks a bunch, Alan. This was the second song I've learned and I can't wait for more.

This is such a poignant piece of music and you played it beautifully. I've just started to play fingerstyle and I'm really pleased to find you teach this as well - some of your other lessons have been a great help to me in the past. Thanks!

Great lesson! Thanks With my small hands I had to solve the Am6 by using fingers 1, 2 and 3 on Fmaj7. This way I can simply add and remove the fourth finger going to, and coming from Am6. Works great though!

thanks friend, a good lesson!
Alan I never in my life have I taken to time to add a comment, that's because you can get online and easily see how it done but then your right back wishing you could play it from lack of not enough of a lesson. But when I saw you play it then the time and though you've taken to really teach someone else when other are I can. Play and I showed them and if they can't get it oh well. But you put everything you need to know on one screen I could see your love for your talent. Is someone else follows your teaching it only a matter of time and practice before someone else will be playing it to. Good job man Manny
Unbelievable what a beautiful song
Thanks for your kind words. Alan.

this is the first lesson from you I've seen for a song with finger-style picking. I always admired your lessons for strumming songs (showing the down up down up timing technique). The thing you have in the upper left panel showing the strumming (in this case, the finger picking pattern...did you create that?! Anyway, your lessons are truly amazing and they have helped me tremendously. Thanks
