Btw I know close friends who got cancer following a plant based diet your bullshit has actually killed people , you should be sued and put in jail for spreading false information, no one can live for long on a vegan diet i will bet my 401 k on it

5 years ago I lost my prostate to cancer. I then went on to one meal a day keto to lesson the chances of it coming back. 3 years into that I devaloped coronary artery disease with crippling angina. I then moved to whole plant based, no oil, no dairy and with in 3 months the angina was gone and I never got the stent I was booked to have. 2 years later today I am on no meds and I am very active at 60 years of age. I live off my garden and forage wild berries, muchrooms and watercress. I have my health back.

For what it's worth...I've been plant based over 8 years and follow pretty close to the 90/10 diet rule. Most of the time (90%) very clean, whole, organic foods, minimal processed. The other 10% is things like the occasional chips, a beer, coffee creamers, pizza, etc. (all vegan of course). With this approach, my blood work, strength, mood, sleep, skin, eyesight, digestion, basically everything in my life has steadily improved entering into my mid 40s. My macro breakdown is roughly 60/15/25 (carb, protein, fat). Lots of fruit, but also lots of beans, quinoa, veggies, greens, nuts/seeds. I workout every day and eat roughly 100g protein at 155lbs. Life is good for this elf✌🧝🌱

Fatter, worse health and a fing heart attack! After the heart attack I went carnivore- but not strict.. New labs just 2 months out of the heart attack are the best in 7 years. 7 fing years of misery due to a “healthy diet!” I feel far better now and lost some weight, too. My bp, cholesterol, uric acid, kidney function, A1c, auto immune symptoms ALL of my previous issues are nearly gone and tests show within normal limits. Fact of the day: There are currently 17,000 centenarians alive in Spain. Four out of every five centenarians are women. Specifically, the confluence of the provinces of Pontevedra, Ourense and Lugo (Galicia) has the highest concentration of people over 100 years of age in Spain and is a candidate to be among the longest-lived areas of the planet. In the village of Riello (León), with only 600 inhabitants, there are up to five people born before 1924; in Rábano de Aliste (Zamora), with 320 inhabitants, there are three; in Cabeza del Caballo (Salamanca), with 248 inhabitants, there are another three. Right now, the oldest person on the planet is the Catalan María Branyas, who turned 117 in March in a nursing home in Olot (Girona), but the current ranking of super centenarians, managed by the Gerontology Research Group, shows flags from all over the world. I understand that the carnivore diet can lead to some quick improvements like weight loss and more energy. However, from a medical perspective, there are concerns about its long-term effects, particularly on cardiovascular health. Diets high in red and processed meats can raise cholesterol levels and increase the risk of heart disease. It's generally safer to follow a nutritarian diet, which focuses on nutrient-dense foods like vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, to maintain heart health over the long term.

Plant based eating for four decades put me in a mobility chair. I finally switched to carnivore and was able to donate the mobility chair to charity. Almost seven years carnivore and my health continues to improve. BTW, the keto diet is the most studied diet. It’s been studied for 100 years, having first been discovered to help with epilepsy and I diabetics. Now it’s being studied as an adjunct therapy for cancer. The vegan diet is very new. No population in the history of humans has ever survived on a 100% plant based diet. I’ve met Dr. Fuhrman. He’s emaciated and has a sour personality. His poor daughter has had chronic regional pain syndrome (CRPS) for years. I suggested that the cause Maugham be the absence of animal foods inner diet and she completely dismissed the idea.

You should only get diet advice from a real Ph.D in nutritional biochemistry with awards and honors and or a Nobel Prize with a long term track record of being right such as Roger J. Williams, Fred Kummerow, George H. Whipple, William Parry Murphy, Edward Adelbert Doisy, Frederick Gowland Hopkins, all 6 would say that single ingredient meat, poultry, fish and eggs are good for you in moderation and that dairy is ok in small amounts if you like it and are not allergic to it but a human is an omnivore and they should still consume a balanced diet in the basic 4 food groups.

The farmer hauled another load away, it wasn't hay. You are full of s#$t. I'll bet you met Fuhrman. Emaciated, what a load of crap. What is a sour personality? Fuhrman has two daughters both grads of Ivy league universities and they WALK THE TALK. Both are the essence of health. Stop the crap already. Nutritional research is a relatively new field. There are virtually zero long term studies on any foods before the 50's. Much was guess work until then. There are now many 1000's of world wide studies of blue zones and vegans beginning primarily in the 50's. Long term Keto Carnivore studies are still limited. There are short term studies that do show some benefits. However, research absolutely shows that long term carnivores have far more health issues and live up to 10 years less than vegans, even vegans who eat some meet. Loma Linda's population of more than 20,000 primarily vegans have been studied since the early 50's primarily because of the University and Hospital interest in diet as a way of life. They live on average 8-10 years longer than their counterparts around them and have substantially less cancer, vascular disease, and more.

Like a muscle, you have to work your way up to digesting some foods. Beans used to give me major gas, but now I eat a lot of them and have no problems whatsoever. You grow the microbiome needed to digest them over time. It also helps to soak beans first (overnight, then rinse before cooking). And even better for your digestion is to sprout them and then eat them either raw or cooked.

Most people don't read, and those who do read are primarily reading at an 8th grade level or below, so nutrition books rarely generate revenue commiserate with the work of writing them. His proposed diet will help many coming off of a standard western diet, but the same person is going to be undernourished and weaker than their counterpart incorporating meat in their diet. @RS-uo2nd He doesn't recommend a vegan diet, so that's your first mistake. He says there's no harm in having 5% of your diet coming from animals. And he presents the evidence that's out there, whether you agree with it or not. A lot of these crazy diets, like the carnivore diet, don't have a ton of research yet. Someone thought them up. However, even in this video, his daughter said there were no actual studies supporting a carnivore diet and he corrected her because there are some short-term studies. Again, almost nobody gets rich from nutrition books. People need information, and the only way to present it is to have a website, create a youtube channel, write books, etc. Does he want people to buy his books? Yes, that's why he wrote them. People need information, and his books are great sources of information.

There are studies for the ketogenic diet that go back to 1920's and there is plenty of studies you just have to look for them, the cohort studies the doctor is talking about is a epidemiology cohort studies that again dose not show causation. Have been a carnivore for 7 years now, no plant material , I take 0 supplements. I was a diabetic, had fatty liver disease, irritable bowel syndrome, COPD, asthma, lymes disease, high blood pressure fibromyalgia, was on $ 860.00 worth of medication per month and now I'm on 0 meds and I am 67 years old with perfect blood work ho yes I also reversed my coronary plack I feel better today than when I was in my thirties. You need to focus your search on life expectancy and keep looking until you realise the overall picture...which is not great for low carb diets or high meat diets. Why does this guy keep calling us primates? Is he suggesting that some races are more developed than others? Our digestive system has little to no comparison to primates. After reading leviticas 11 and understanding the Daniel fast (for us Christian believers) I'll stick to my meat. Thinking about the western settlers and how they were able to defeat the native tribes, did they not kill thousands of Buffalo? Or did they mow over all the fruits and vegetables? According to Herodotus, the Persians diet was food grown from dung and the people lived to around 80 while Ethiopians ate boiled meat and lived to be around 120. That "study" is about 2,500 years old. During the british empire, the king made it illegal for the defeated people to hunt for their food and gave out bread to keep the people weak to prevent uprisings in the 13 century. I dont know, maybe there hasn't been enough research

Dr.Berg promotes a whole foods low carb diet, and going from junk foods etc, you will see lots of improvements and its a step in the right direction. You can lose weight and the benefits of losing weight are vast. The problem is when we compare low carb diets to plant based diets, because that's when long term studies keep showing less death in plant based diets. There are many studies that can be found online by just searching 'Low carb life expectancy study. You will be shocked when you start reading the studies(not articles) and seeing the overall trend, because low carb diets in general are not great for longevity, at all.

I made probably "standard" journey. Step 1: eating lots of processed sugar/flour foods - messing up the gut and the brain (and some weight gain, but not too much). Step 2: wanting to feel better/lose weight - moving to low carb / keto. Dropped the weight, felt better for some time, but it was still very difficult to fight food addiction, got occasional relapses back to sugar/fat combo. Eventually relapse extended to one year, with more emphasis on fat, especially diary products, eggs. Ended up with LDL 140, +20 kg from ideal weight of BMI 19, 22% body fat. Step 3. Almost by coincidence (Netflix) got info about WFPB and Nutritarian diet, went overnight and after 6 months body fat 12% (goal 10%), BMI 19.5, no impact to muscle strenght and endurance. I am still angry at myself for Step 2...but yeah, learned from my mistakes, so to say. PS. this time I wanted really to base my decision to change diet with science, so I studied a lot, books, courses, scientific literature, etc etc. I have never thought that there is such HUGE amount of info and evidence pointing to the 99% same conclusion (I guess the only deviation is % of calories from nuts, seeds and avocado's). Not to mention do these people not sound like they have some decent common sense by the way they articulate themselves, you know what I mean? One example of the keto diet in practice is the Eskimos in Antarctica, there is no food there besides meat, and guess their life expectancy? 50.. and before you say it's because of the climate, that is false, the human body can adapt to the climate very easily (we have been for millions of years). So be open minded and don't conclude your entire argument on an anecdote of 4 people, it may save your health l.
