The boy makes it look so easy, like he's got time and space all the time. I'd love to know what his pass completion looks like.. Edit: someone just posted that it's been over 90% for the past few games. And not just sideways passing, progressive passing.

As an arsenal fan he is a baller , looking at your team it’s very evident he is a certified 8 you just need a 6 that can compliment him and provide more control in your midfield .

Mainoo is perfect 8 wen Casemiro plays as the 6 But Mainoo is a perfect 6 / CDM wen Casemiro is Not around, he is also a 10 wen called upon...in academy days he often played 10,,loads assist and goals.. a perfect Central Defender too and ofcourse right back..wen he played right back for 45 minutes in summer ,he looked better than all United's wing backs

@@oghenetegaoghojafor6958 - As far as I am concerned he is already in the conversation with the likes of Rice etc.. Within the next 12-24 months I expect Kobbie to glide past these guys. What I am really talking about is him stepping up to the standards of some of the best deep lying/central midfielders the world has seen. That is something I believe can happen over the next 10 years with experience. That’s what I mean when I speak of Kobbie being a“generational talent”.

This is a player so good that these "special" performances to him I think are just what he does. This guy is only 18 and yet he got man of the match playing away at Goodison against Everton _on his debut!_ From that alone we can already see this isn't just any old player. He has had man of the match most games since his debut. What a revelation.

I watched the game vs luton yesterday. After 15mins, we couldn’t get a hold of the ball and luton were dominating. Many of the “experienced” senior pros like Bruno, Rashford , casemiro and Onana were giving the ball away constantly. Mainoo was the only one who kept the ball , even under intense pressure from Luto , he’d always find a way to wriggle out of tight spaces and spray the ball outwide. Just shows that age is just a number in football .

The referee did him wrong today, clean tackles all funny day!

I understand VAR not "giving" yellows, but why on earth can't clearly wrong yellows be rescinded???? Help the ref out. The yellow today looked like a clear yellow until you see a replay and it's a perfect tackle without any chance of it being a foul. Nothing annoys me more than this stupid VAR rule.

@@drewdg21thats how they can still cater to betting house. yellows affect players a lot and they know it. this is still away to “control” or influence result. lets say playing city or liverpool if you’re fullback are on yellows early then you probably going to lose. ie if michael oliver is the referee he would probably book every united player if he could

It's so important Ratcliffe and Ineos are making moves to start running this club properly again at a time when we have some talented youth coming through again. Everyone's looked towards Garnacho in recent times but for me Mainoo is looking like the kid with the highest ceiling right now. For 18 his footballing brain is incredible. He sorts his feet out so quickly and can reposition himself in a split second. It's like he's experiencing the game in slow motion or something, he's so incredibly calm under pressure. I just pray we don't waste his talent or screw up his development. If it was the Glazers with Woodward, Arnold and Murtough "running" the club, I'd want Mainoo to save himself and leave asap.

That’s the biggest danger with United at the moment. How it has become a graveyard for talent. Hopefully they don’t burn him out too soon. Make him enjoy his football. Hopefully he can pick up little things off Casemiro and Eriksen as well.

I agree @jonbon6843 too many people want change so quickly. We need Bruno next 2 years to help the transition. Garnacho, hojlund, mainoo, a couple more youngsters, kambwala? Onana gelling too. Not many premier league clubs with three potential world class players under 21. But they need experience around them.

Mainoo is far better than Pogba, he hardly loses the ball and is far more consistent than Pogba. Pogba uses body strength but Mainoo is smooth and quick minded.

He's 1 tidy player the lad, I don't see a weakness, he's got enough pace, physicality, awareness and positional sense, technique, calmness on the ball, great passer keeps it simple and never looks flustered. A proper footballer
