Just got mine, bought used 2015 so I’m late to the party but as a 30 year diesel tech that’s a good find!! Thanks man, I’m gonna check mine tomorrow and if it has that clip I’m going to make a permanent solution.

Great tip. That should have been a metal clip and not cheap plastic! Anyone who owns a Viking ought to check this video out.

I had that clip fall out or get pushed out by a branch on my Grizzly.

I wonder if this viking has the same sagging rear suspension problem as mine

Well its a good thing your looking over it. Ask him to wash every now and then. PMs preventative maintenance is key to all off road equipment. For your safety and others. Great find but I would not call that a recall.

Daily checks - as per the Owner's Manual you should be checking brake fluid level before each day's usage - guess you don;t do that....

If he doesn’t check his machine, it’s not Yamaha’s fault.

Misleading headline, this is nothing to do with being dangerous, it is a plastic clip that was very possibly from a stick that came up from below and hit the line . Pretty obvious he does not look after it either , keep it clean and always check components, but lack of care does not deserve to be blamed on the machine

Misleading headline...Yes! I believe the reason being is people that make videos make more money if more people view their videos. No, the Viking is not dangerous!

I didn't think I was going to have to respond to this but here it goes. This UTV does not see anything more than dirt road. Previous comments mention that branches or debris caused this to occur. I can honestly say that this is not the case and I only want to inform everyone that this can be an issue. With this said, thank you for commenting and watching. Everyone has the right to their opinions and I respect that.
