Brought the 7 iron as a experiment,, online fitting is superb,, went graphite shaft,, undersize grip,, 2 degree stronger,, 1 inch shorter,, no extra charge,,, still goes a decent hight,, and stops great,,, as a senior need all the help I can get,,, so in pressed also got a 2 wood,, boom baby,, I'm back,, cheers Alan 😂😂👍

I got fitted today for these irons. I was averaging 6500 spin with range balls. Same exact numbers you had but higher spin. I ordered 4-G.

Hi Ali great vid. Just stuck a set of those in the bag( 5-pw). They outgunned the mizunos they replaced by roughly 15 yards , and the flight was pretty on the eye. Was that impressed ended up replacing hybrid, fairway and driver. Very black looking bag now😂😂

Ordered mine today. Down to £65 an iron and ordered to my specifications. Absolute no brainer. They look, sound and feel amazing.

Yes Ali, I bought 0211s 5 to GW Christmas 2020 on a demo day and still love them. The fitting was done by the PXG UK rep and he got it spot on. I Would recommend them.

ordered a 7 iron in this club. Hit it a few times...very nice...a bit of a hook stick for me. I just went and got fitted at a PXG store here on the west coast (Washington state). I was going to get fitted for the 2021 0211 irons. Tracman had me hitting this 7 iron 185 yards...WOW! However, for me, that is WAY too long and not enough spin for a 7 iron..Ended up with Gen 2 0311 P irons...WOW I love those things...the feel is unreal, still got great distance (170 yard average with a 7 iron), spin was good...but that feel...WOW! And the price $129 US per club. Never been fitted before and that was SO much fun and VERY informative. I would recommend custom fitting because the information you get about your swing is AWESOME!

You could have gotten the 0211 with a 2 degree weak. Would make the 7i a 30 degree, closer to the 0311 P, which is 31 degrees. Or just hit a 0211 8i with std loft it’s a 32 degree.

I got fitted at the same store. The fitters there are good but I didn’t mess with the lofts since I’ve lost a little yardage over the years. I got a 52, 56 degree forged wedges also and a 0211 5 wood earlier that summer.

My gen 3s 0311are 2 degrees strong playing at 29 degrees. The ball height is tremendous giving the ideal decent angle and it stops on a dime even on hard greens. Playing KBS C-Taper 120s which are low flight/low spin shafts, I couldn’t imagine getting anymore height to the ball. In Florida it would be a big disadvantage with the wind

Just got fitted for a set of these and wedges. Got 4-G and a 52 and 56 degree forged wedges for just under $1070 US. They feel pretty good and can’t wait until next season to get my first round in. Have a fitted 5 wood also, love it.

I got fit for gen 2 and gen 3, I did not get much difference between the 2 so I went with gen 2, the irons are unlike any iron I have hit, I upgraded the shaft to nippon pro modus and got them 179 each

Great review look nice and a price that competes with the other major brands.

Got mine today with Mitsubishi MMT shafts 80 gr stiff. 890 USD for 10 irons !!! Incredible deal . They sound and feel so good . I’ll play tomorrow and update !!

Playing a few weeks now !!! Simply the best irons and shaft combo I’ve hit yet . Forgiving , good distance and they stop on the greens !!! I love these clubs . Distance isn’t crazy but it’s a little longer ?? Hitting 8 iron about 165 and 4 iron about 225 off the tee Maybe 210 off the deck ? Having a set from lob wedge to 4 iron is unbelievable !! Lob and sand and gap wedges are so good and the bounce on them are perfect . I went from hitting. 40 % of par threes to 80% and increasing shots on green from inside 100?yards by another 20 %! !! Shaved about 6 to 8 stokes a round with these irons !!!! Their like butter 2 of my buddies ordered after trying on the course !!!! Technology at a very reasonable price .... these clubs are Sick !!!!

Ordered mine couple days ago, 4 - gw £520. Again no brainer, 4 iron will be used as a driving iron. Way cheaper than other similar models. Back to golf after 11 year break these don't feel cheap but way cheaper than alternatives. Cant wait to get them

For those commenting on the 7 iron loft (28 degrees), that is kind of the similar rate for many cavity back clubs Mizuno 921 Hotmetal, Taylormade Sim, Callaway Rogue, etc... They are all within a degree or two. Clubs that are 12+ years old have 3-5 degree difference which is why the balls are flying farther nowadays. Stock shafts on many clubs are lighter, which adds to club head speed too.

Hope you get hold off the 0211 st s to review they look awesome.

I have the full bag of 2021 0211’s. I love the look, feel and performance! Great deal with their Hero’s program!

0211s currently $99 USD per club and you’d be hard pressed to find a better club irregardless of price. Stock shafts are either TT Elevate 95 or Elevate Tour and a few other options available for an extra $39 per club which is still reasonable. Stock grip is nice too. They sound and feel great, I already hit the ball high so low spin is not an issue for me. Extremely forgiving especially off toe strikes. Only negative I can say is I wish the back badging was all in that matte finish.

Just ordered from pxg website! I went 2 degree weaker loft. It's still a 30 degree 7 iron and a 44 degree pw. Sets up nicely because I carry a 50 degree Cleveland zip core gap wedge already. I need all the stopping power I can get at these hard pan Texas Bermuda courses I play. Can't wait!!

@@rodneyhickman825in hindsight I should have gotten the standard lofts. With the tour elevate shafts, big pxg heads and weaker lofts the ball flight ended up being way too high and too hard to hit a flighted or controlled shot. I got rid of them.

@@tonywood6142 I hit both the 0211 and the 0312xp at a fitting a few weeks ago. I thought the feel were night and day in favor of the 0311. But there is also a $800 difference in set price. Trying to make my decision as to which to buy. Leaning to the gen 3 0311xp as they are only $300 more

PXG is selling these clubs as of today 3/14/22 for $79 a club. That is such a good deal I couldn't pass it up. Just grabbed 5-pw with stiff graphite and mid size grips. That's as cheap as department store starter brands.

Fitted on a Saturday, received them exactly one week later. Early results are that I’m much more accurate with the irons and driver.

Hoping the price sticks around long enough for the wife to snag me a set for Father’s Day. Seemingly Stupid deal for what you are getting.

I really respect your opinions on these golf clubs. What manufacturer would you compare this level of club to? I’m new to golf (just over 2 years) and my handicap is 11. Is this a set you would recommend to newer’ish golfers? Also, I would really love to hear your thoughts on these clubs with graphite shafts…..

I got a set of the 211's and they were so much cheaper and I love them.

Curious what club from your bag would you be hitting into that green at that distance. Would it have better spin or angle of descent numbers to help it stop better?

The expensive part of Pxg is in the screws. The clubs without the screws are a lot cheaper now 😂

Ali very good review, you can have PXG weaken loft for no upcharge to increase launch and spin.

urojoe- That is excellent giving your young boy nice clubs and having him on the course; it's "The game of life" for both of you.

There’s nothing cheap about this iron. Let’s say it’s a high quality and affordable club in the PXG range. Lots of tech and power if you need it. It’s preference and will fit most recreational golfers.

I can't believe more clubmakers don't do that chamfer on the back side of the topline to give the appearance of a thinner club at address. Perhaps most high-handicappers like the bigger/blockier appearance. Thanks for the review.

I am looking to replace my irons and being a senior needing distance and forgiveness (fader but practicing the new wrist angle daily) which irons 2021 should I be looking at? My list currently is PXG, G425, Apex and because of you review, The Hot metals? Have I missed anything?

I needed more loft due to my issues of hitting to much down on the ball & my slow swing speed which causes low launch & low height golf shots. And the weaker loft doesn't affect these irons in any negative way from what I can tell so far. I've played with them twice...(Note: I'm a very high 27 handicap) and I have senior/ladies A-Flex lightest 50gram graphite shaft but, they feel stiff & solid to me and they even feel heavier (most likely the swing weight) than my old 2003 Ping G2 😳. But, I love them and they have a real nice solid feeling off the club face (a lot of technology in these iron heads).

How do these compare to the JPX 921 HotMetal ? I recently got fitter and wanted to try the PXGs but they didn’t have any, but of the clubs they did have I came down to the Ping i525 and the JPX 921 hotmetal

Seeing the comments about the strong nature of the clubs explains a ton. I’m a taller guy and swing fast so I thought I was just a beast crushing them. I’m hitting my 7 iron 195. So if I do some correction I probably hit a normal 7 iron 175.

one of my concerns is if i get clubs that are too hot are they going to make all my other clubs and distances obsolete. well it is the start of a new season up here and i guess i could start over.

Good review. I would hate to get these and the response when people look in my bag was " OH I see you got the cheap ones ". NOT cheap.

I'm looking at doing the same; trying to determine where to make the transition. 2 "8" irons with the DC at 32* and the ST at 36*, or 2 "9" irons with the DC at 37* and the ST at 41*. I wish they would ditch the club number and put lofts on the sole.

I've just picked up a used set of the original 0211 and I think I made the right decision. 28 degree 7 iron is just a bit too much , 1st generation was 31 degrees! and I think it's just as good and better looking in my opinion.

I like the 2021 version better but it’s personal. You can order them 2 degrees week, 7 iron at 30 degrees at no charge.

Probably going to buy these but just carry 5 wedges! PW and GW from the 0211s and a 52, 56, 60 combo. Might sound crazy but when you consider that the 0211 PW can carry 130-140, it's basically a 9 iron, not a PW.

I bought them 5-GW, but only added dedicated wedges in 54 and 60. This allows me to throw the either mini driver or 5 metal in the bag, in addition to regular driver, 3 metal and hybrid, depending on course and conditions.

Are they as forgiving as ping g425 irons?

right now in Canada the are 110.00 per iron ( Canadian ) whats the convert to pounds or US....great deal i believe...cheers from Canada

What about seniors with slower swing speeds?

Remember when you buy these they are very strong lofted I was hitting my 7 iron 155 now I'm hitting 186 total I am getting better but no matter how hard I swung I couldn't get my cobra f-max airspeed 7 iron to go past 155 these added 30 plus yards to my hit

they are simply one club stronger. 8i at 32* is a somewhat average 7 club. No point in comparing with other 7 clubs that are lofted 32-34. Would be interesting to know how far your 8i goes?

Hi Ali.... Loving the videos. Looking at new irons and narrowed it down to PXG 0211 2021 model or Cobra Radspeed irons. Interested to hear your thoughts. I'm a mid handicapper getting back in to golf after a few years out. Looking for distance and forgiveness. Would you say the 0211 irons are as forgiving as the Cobra? I'm edging towards the 0211 as they look great and getting great reviews....as are the Cobras.

If use carbon shaft can get further

Ok I hear everyone screaming how great they feel. Ok fine. But how do they perform? Any scratch golfers or lower handicappers my question how’s ball flight? Workability ? Forgiveness? Distance ? I’m intrigued to say the least. I’m a titliest guy at heart so it’s hard to get me off of them…. (Even tho I bought a set of cobras recently Bc of the feel of them and they guy was giving them away at 600 dollars brand new) no joke and I’m loving them believe it or not..)

These are now £75 per iron!! Looking to get fitted for them soon hopefully

I gave this the like to get it to 1000 likes.......that gave me far more satisfaction than it should have.

The problem with these and most if not all the hollow irons is they have a sweet spot then they have the SWEET SPOT. They can be uncontrollable meaning the 6 iron is either 190 or 215 , flyers happen a lot with these type of clubs especially with the better ball strikers, I'm a blade player I have a set of these and a set of the ST, there is no comparison in distance controll , the ST is on the number, the DC however is on the number till it inexplicably isn't, and you don't want that if you're competing , even if it's just a club championship. I use these for fun .... for the weekend golfer great club great price I say go get 'em , for a more serious player not so much.

I've been looking at a full set if these. Was looking the same 6 to gw then 22 and 19 hybrid and 52 58 wedge. How are you finding the gapping. I've always had a 5 iron then 22 hybrid worried to leave the 5 iron out now but looking at lofts it seems it would be good

Anybody have these with the stock 70gram graphite shafts? Looking for graphite, but those seem a bit light... currently using 95gram steel.

I’m a 8.5 HC index swing speed with driver 96MPH. Got the 0211 with the MMT 80g shaft I would recommend this shaft.

At $600 Canadian (5-W) these are the cheapest clubs available to me. What a time to be alive.. lol

Had to send my order back 3 times to get what I ordered on 2 different occasions they might make a good product it's a shame they can assemble it and get it to the customer correct the first time ?

Were that 7IRON tested at standard loft and lie??? and what was the shaft and grip did you test with as well...I'm looking at these and the 0311P's. What are the differences if you can say??? ;)

How far would you hit a 33 degree 7 iron? Im confused because this 7 iron would fall between my 5 and 6 iron. but are you getting a ball flight like a 5 iron or like a 7 iron with more distance? I cant afford to not be able to spin a 5 or 6 iron and have them rolling off the green.

Think of it as a 5 iron with the number 7 on the top. If you're a short hitter, want more distance, or older these clubs are awesome. My current set I have a 33 degree 7 iron p770 taylormade it goes 155, would probably hit this 7 iron 170 to 175 with a 7 iron.

No ball is going to have any problems stopping with those decent angles. Spin don't mean much anymore but you guys keep harping about it. Strong lofts, low cg is here to stay. Time to move on from spin numbers as more fitters are focusing on height, angles. I've seen the 4i in action and it goes plenty high. These are remarkable irons.

Height, angle, etc.....all effect spin rate or are affected by spin rate dumbass. To be properly fitted, spin rate plays a major role

I have both and i20 is a tinge smaller, but barely anything in it. I like the 0211 game improvement irons as the blade lengths are that long (like g425 irons for example). The topline and sole of the 0211s are pretty dang similar to the i20s

Looked like the True Temper Elevate 95 (VSS) Stiff? -- best guess since its the stock steel. The stock graphite is Mitsubishi MMT as standard! That is an amazing price for an iron with the MMT standard!

Stop overanalyzing spin!!! I bought these ($94 per when I called in) and have no issue with spin once a proper shaft was fitted with my swing. These have no issues holding greens, especially a 7 iron when it goes high and descent angle to match. And would you rather hit a 7 iron into a green vs your 20yr old 5 iron? I'll take my chances with the 7 iron. These irons are great! I know this because I am very confident now with my 5 iron where I can consistently launch high and with consistent distance. And every iron through the bag. You cannot beat the quality for this price. No buyer's remorse here!

One thing to keep in mind is your normal 7 iron will be like 9 iron in the 0211 so at 165 u will be hitting a 9 or 8 and should stop better, hitting a 5 iron into a green won't stop like a normal 7 but u just have to know your club to distance and u will be fine. Does the 0211 7 iron spin close to your 5 iron cause thats what it really is

The people who rail against strong lofts have never taken a set of these on the course. "How much does your 150 club spin?" is the question that matters. For me I'm not into them because I already carry four wedges and don't need to be into a five-wedge situation but I see the fit for many golfers & don't understand why so many people get grumpy about it.

Great review Ali. Sums up my feelings entirely on this set. Almost becomes a no brainer as an option given the tech it’s packing (same as 0311 gen3) at half the price. I think people may dismiss it as oh it’s PXG’s cheap offering. It might be cheap in price but these guys don’t churn out any old rubbish. Top quality product imo. Great performance, great feel, great look and great price. What’s not to like?

28* loft, 37.5" length, 62* lie...that was pretty much the industry standard 5I specs in the mid '90s.

@@richhall4085 I haven't got them yet. Order fulfillment takes 6 weeks and there was a slight delay due to component delivery delays. I should get them by the end of this week. I'll let you know how I get on with them

I have Ping G irons currently so it will be interesting to compare. The specs of the PXGs are about 1 clib stronger e.g. PXG 0211 6 iron = Ping G 5 iron! will report back when I've compared

Why is setting up to the ball wrong, he needs to instead set up with the heal of the club right on the the left side *(right side for left handers). This could make his toe shots more center of the face. Just try it out for me, it is driving me crazy. Just bought the Irons and my game dropped from the low 80's to the mid to high 70's just because of the convivence I get from these clubs.

Can't stand mine. Admittedly a high handicapper but my game has been shit ever since I bought them.

Those are so strong lofted its kind of misleading, I also hit the 0211 and they are nice but nothingike there top line. Its almost like a 5 iron lol

So take your 5 iron, cut it down to the same length as the 7 and then get the balance the same and see what happens ...5K spin on a 7 iron is too low

Pointless? Don’t understand. Forget the number on the bottom of the club. Just compare 28 degree with any other 28 degree whether it be a 5 , 6 or 7 in any other set. The real comparison is what it spins like against any other 28 degree club, what it looks like against any other 28 degree and what it feels like. Then don’t be afraid to make this the last iron in your set even if it’s a 7 iron and go into hybrids. Not sure what is pointless about that. Just gives golfers options on a ‘stronger’ lofted set, stopping at a higher numbered iron. And what’s best is £ for £ probably the best value iron on the market at the moment.

Yup thats what i have done Gen 3 irons last iron is a 7 goes like a traditional 5 iron then gone into hybrids Have 5 wedges to cover the bottom end of the bag 64,60,55,48,43 Works for me

After looking at the numbers and specs, I'm put off by this being called a 7i. The speed, spin, and carry are decent for a 6 or even a short-shafted 5. I don't understand the concept of strong-lofted irons; I mean, these lofts and distances are not those of a 7, so why call it a 7?! I feel my intelligence is being insulted.

The loft and shaft length are the same as my ping i5 5 iron. They can stamp a 7 on it but it's a 5 iron in my eyes

No, they are trying to trick your ego with the etremely strong lofts.

Well the stamped number really doesn’t mean anything. However, the lofts are adjusted to fit the new technology so the 7i still performs like a 7i in its trajectory. But again, today it’s more useful to just know what club you hit what distance and just ignore the stamped number.

@@andya2665 Not true. The technology has allowed amateurs to launch the ball as it should be launched but they’ve had to adjust the lofts to account for faster ball speeds, less spin and higher trajectories. If they kept today’s 7i lofts at those of the 90’s we’d have 7i’s ballooning.
