HA, Hi guys, Cook challenge, beef jerky, Japanese BBQ wings, and a long and slow brisket.. Vertical smoker is great for Jerky. I also think thick cut bacon, roll low and slow around 250.

About 6 years ago I purchased a pit boss Lockhart platinum that has both the convection oven as well as they call it the oven it’s the smoker part. The only thing I don’t like is the ash that gets everywhere including the oven and over the top . So you know it also gets on the food. Otherwise I love it

Brethren! Thank you for sharing about Benson Farms and their high quality meats. Also, that smoker is going to be put to good use, I am sure. Ready to volunteer as taste tester when needed. Well done and griddle on!

Oh I need one of these. One of these years I suppose. Dealing with so many health things the past year or so, it's been hard to do anything out on the patio. I was actually supposed to be in Texas right now to see the Solar Eclipse, but I had to cancel. I am upset we're going to miss this one, but we did drive to Idaho to see the one in 2017. My friend Ryan and I were going to spend a few days in Austin because we have never been there, then we were planning on spending a week in New Orleans. Traveling, and the amount a people would be nightmare though. Anyway, hope you're all having a great weekend. Smoke On!

This is a good one to have on the patio, because it doesn’t take so much space. Sorry to hear about the cancelled plans brother, we really hope you get better and that there will be some good traveling days ahead. Much love Jason, SMOKE ON INDEED!!🔥🔥

I bought one last year. Its nice but...need to use a smoker tube to get better flavor and the water pan is way too small. It does work well. Being able to set the temp to 160 is nice.

I just don't understand how none of these smokers have timers on them that you can set and it goes off!!!!!! The cheapest air fryer out there the cheapest stove out there has a dang timer on it

You’re comparing an appliances that sit inside and can be heard inside the house, to smokers that sit outside and can run for hours on end. Another key factor - no cut of meat will cook the same. You cook to internal temp, not based on time, ever. Cheers.

@@waltwinsidk man i know I don't cook for temp on fall off the bone ribs I cook for time because they need to be over cooked to fall off the bone ... Actually there is a lot of stuff I cook for time especially using a controlled pellet smoker you really shouldn't have a lot of fluctuating in temps like you would a wood burning smoker so there for you should be able to cook to time on most stuff with in 30 min or so

@@Boddylan75respectfully - you can look across KZread and at many more creators who are much more experienced than we are, and they’d say the same thing (for all smokers and brands). I’ve had a brisket that took 9 1/2 hours, and another that took 15 hours. Ribs and other smaller cuts of meat may be more consistent. You could always set an external timer, which are available.
