Pretty cool drawing today, it took me about 5 hours! Used a Namiki fountain pen and Platinum Carbon Black ink, and Paris Paper for Pens. I tried to look that up, what that means, "Paris Paper" but it seems kind of vague, maybe just a type of paper made in Paris at some point.
These are the two books I mentioned in this video:
"Gandhi & Churchill" by Arthur Herman
"King Leopold's Ghost" by Adam Hochschild

Hey Peter! Have a great day! Thank you for making mine better within just 15 minutes.
Thank you Peter, I'm always entertained by the little explanation bits you put into your artwork (subterranean mustard cheese) and things like that. :) I look forward to seeing your videos, they're a good time to sit back and relax!
Fantastic drawing as always! I look forward to seeing some more of that sword as your comfort level rises!
Oh yay! I’ve been craving some Peter Draws!
Love your thoughts. And your arts!
I love hearing about your audio books
Thank you, as always, for this feast, for the eyes, ears and imagination. The art in this one goes into my favourites list. Loved it! The evolution of your style is fascinating
Thanks for the sword segment, I needed a little lift...The drawing and stories where great too.
Hullo Peter, I find your drawings completely amazing! I so enjoy your commentary on the diversity of subjects too! I have also been intrigued with how many famous quotes are miss-quotes! I have spent my share of time looking things up, believe me that is easier today than it was when I was in school. Digging around the library for famous quotes and miss-quotes takes hours and hours longer than typing a quote into a search engine on your home computer! I have found more than a few discrepancies online and contradictory information even in Wikipedia! Thanks for the drawing video I do enjoy seeing you ply your art. Be safe take care and keep drawing drawing drawing!
"Be the change" is a misquote that has been mis attributed. Gandhi used different words than those, and at the time was referencing the idea of someone else. I find common misconceptions like these fascinating! I tried to leave a comment here with a link to the quote investigator website, but apparent links in comments make the comment die? I dunno. But I encourage you to look up the quote on your own, because it's history is great. I love your work! Thank you always for sharing.
This is so satisfying to watch come together. Thank you for entertaining my eyes and enriching my brain.
I've been listening and drawing along. My current sketchbook is doing well because of this. Thank you.
Good to see you with pen in hand again!
Love this Video Peter! Your artwork is fantastic!
this was beautiful. thank you!
I just want you to know that when I clicked play, it said 3999 views, so I consider myself 4k. Nice. I like round numbers. Beautiful art today, inspired me to fill a page of my sketchbook with dragon doodles. I'm glad you're branching out and growing, but it was nice to get a chat and draw video.
Gorgeous drawing
Your comedy is right up there with your drawings, top notch🙌🏻
Peter I love your videos so much. You are such a genuine person. Never stop being you.

I think Peter is the last person on earth who I'd think would pretend or put on to seek favor with others. Peter is Peter and he always has been the most genuine human being ever
I really enjoyed the labels you put on at the end... gave me a happy chuckle. Love that broadsword, too. I used to have one... It was almost as tall as I am!
Make sure you oil that blade down after you touch it. It'll flash rust your fingerprints in pretty quick.
Love it!
I’m a fan of all of Peter’s things.
Your drawing is so good. I like it a lot
Something about those first typography additions that tickled my designer brain and had me excited for the final work.
Peter !! I just found out about this thing called the Globetrotter watercolor wristband kit and it would be so cool to see you do a review !!
Thanks Peter ❤
Thanks for the lines
Marty Feldman much? 0:24 (Young Frankenstein) Great drawing!!
I FKNG LOVE NEW SWORD DAY LETS GOOOO
This drawing is absolutely EPIC, Peter! 🤩 Also I love your new sword 👍
I love this man's content an his art
That's really good.
Lovely pen😻
it felt pretty good when you pulled out your sword I reached an arm to the back of my couch and pulled out my old foam larp sword that I've never used and only own because it's cool. it's silly to have still but I'll never get caught off guard
You could go back in time and fit right in. Can't stop laughing 😆 🤣
Your art is fantastic as always. You have inspired so many people. I hope you are proud !! And u hope you're doing well
Hi Peter! Nic e to see you again! Been loving your posts over on insta👌 keep it up m8
Have you ever thought or made a song using the pen strokes you make I'd love to know what your doodles sound like
Nice sword + drawing :D
Nice moog in the background there!
The king is back!!!
Yes please!
Hey Peter! En guard, indeed 😁 Cool blade, and even cooler drawing.
Yes!
Peter draws....his sword.
My man getting closer and closer to 1 mil subs 👌
The sounds Peter make from 14:58 are so funny
I love it
beautifull sword, is one of the line that matt easton designend from the royal armories? remember to oil it form time to time, mineral oil do the job (baby oil), and avoid touching the blade with bare hand due to the oil of you skin can corrode the steel.
The knife is for butchering the beast after you had slayed it and saved a whole village.
Please tell me i wasnt the only one who fought back at the screen with their pen when you said on guard.... lol
That knife and fork combo! 😂
I need to get me a sword. That’s where I am going wrong in life.
ink! ink! ink! ink!
That’s the biggest toothpick I’ve ever seen
Hi Peter!! I sent you an email about getting a tattoo of one of your doodles. Wonderful video as always, and the sword is so cool!
Nice drawing. Different style.
Hurry up & finish those gift drawings people
Hello there PeterDraws :D
Great thumbnail. Swords are so cool
I believe the Ghandi quote is actually misattributed, which may be why the biography doesn't mention it.
Peter! You gotta wipe down and oil that blade or you will soon find it covered in black oxidation that will turn into rust. Gorgeous sword, Italian style pommel, love it.
Now im desperately hoping for a video of you slicing stuff in your backyard

Love the sword! Love medieval times and weapons etc⚔️🛡️
You probably never heard the "Be the change..." quote in the Ghandi biography because he never actually said that.
Peter you scared me when you ran your fingers down the blade 😰 stressing me out 😂

Are you doing HEMA fencing Peter?! I’ve been getting into fencing with longswords like the one you have!
I'm glad your life is good in the belt department.
Could I commission you for a picture I love your style so much
Peter with a new sword... hello Mr peter.
Cool drawing, like the Belgium story. I'm from the Netherlands. What do you think of the Netherlands?
" on guard much?" I'm dead! Lmfao
peter does look like he belongs in lord of the rings so this business with the sword makes total sense, I can totally see him slicing up some home invader as if he were vegetables. peter the self defense chef!

I saw the movie RRR a bit ago. I highly recommend 👌 It's EPIC. 🥰
I thought you were drawing an alien landscape at first. 😆😆😆
Your story about the Congo resonated with me in the sense that it is still happening. I just saw a joe Rogan podcast today talking about the cobalt mines in the Congo. Check it out 👍🏽
Ah, I love the sword! Yes, eating with a knife, totally manly. Love all the stipple work, my favorite.
Do you have a Goodreads?
Hey Peter, You normally do very nice small drawings with pens and markers and the like. The thumbnail got me thinking of the mural you did some time ago. Any plans of a drawing penned with a full size sword?
Oh my goodness. 😅 Another sword. It suits you. Hey, have you been to a Renaissance festival? You'd totally have fun, I'm sure!
Genial!!!
I think what Gandhi said was a bit wordier... (Hopefully this one is right) "We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change. As a man changes his own nature, so does the attitude of the world change towards him. This is the divine mystery supreme. A wonderful thing it is and the source of our happiness. We need not wait to see what others do.” Nice sword, nice drawing, satisfying to watch, but I was also tense listening to you talk about Leopold knowing the horror of that whole situation, even though you quite considerately avoided talking about that side of it.

Yes that book did mention in great detail a lot of the horrific stuff that went on in the Congo, really sobering and appalling
Oi at the Sword, PD Drawing and History on yeah.... Watch the video reader!? Thanks Peter 😎
Peter. You are the man to prove which is mightier, the pen or the sword. You've done many pen drawings. Now do a drawing with your sword. Then go in your back yard and stab things with the sword and the pen. Then give us the winner. You are ready Peter.
Always so inspirational to watch you draw! Did the book on Leopold II mention anything about the genocide in Congo? If not I highly recommend reading more about that, as a follow up to the book. Truly horrifying stuff. One of those (many) reads that makes me ashamed to be white.

Peter, bro, are you into HEMA!?
You videos scratch a certain itch that i can not properly explain. Your vids register to me like 2010 call of duty commentaries (i hope you know what i mean) like you draw but the commentary is over ur drawing. and your style of talking and jokin and riffin is so (i dont want to come off as rude) but rambly yet organized, monotone but quite expressive, and god it is comfortable. I know u arent an irl friend but while i draw i can look up and see ur progress while feeling like im talking w someone. and u also slightly remind me of Mister Fantasmo from those youtube Machinama days

Swords are long, but I am short. I had to settle for a lesser to shave 10” off. 🤨
Does this style of art have a name?
Wow you cannot wait for the zombies.
Honestly thought you were going with "drawing .. swords" 😀🤣
If it were not for a pen, there would not be The Sword! "And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:" Ephesians 6:17 "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." Hebrews 4:12 Thank you, Peter, for your art, fun, and videos. *A Very, Safe, Healthy, & Happy New Year To All!*
