Yeah, this game mode is more about horizontal account investment than vertical like Abyss. It's more interesting this way, will take some time to adjust though

I've played for a year and I got absolutely demolished by theatre. I was able to complete only 3 acts. I guess I won't go there one more year....

@@angelocielo3472characters doesnt need to be built, I can assure you that you can complete this with 8 stars with only using the trial characters since the enemies are squishy not like the abyss. just slap some random artifacts on your other characters so they wont die easily then save the dps for the bosses then youre good to go! goodluck!

I personally think its good the only problem i have is on borrowing characters, i thought their purpose was to fill in slots when u dont have enough charac on specific elements. I had high expectations on this. Turns out you can only borrow one which is a let down and not even when you pick out casting member.

1 borrowed good character is enough to carry you. In my experience you don't have to use all the characters. You just have to strategize and be mindful of the energy. I brought my lvl 70 unbuilt Diluc and Lynette and I didn't have any problem. I didn't even have to use them, they were just there to fill the slots. My friend's Xianyun also carried my Hutao a lot.

Diluc just needs to jump up and down to complete the new game mode :)

Same, i tried like 5 times, im just giving up for now, because that exact thing (not beeing able to beat bosses) ruined hsr for me and i dont want that to happen to genshin. I dont even struggle in the normal overworld, but in the theatre you cant use good teams, just whatever is available and that's not enough for the last stage. (Sorry for ranting)

Abyss asks tou to build 2 parties of the best if the bests you have for the current run. This game mode asks you to be flexible and the build a larger variety and test out teams and combinations you might not be used to. I love this game mode more than the Abyss.

Yknow seeing some peoples reaction to it reminds me of that statement that hoyo released a while ago saying they didn't want to stress people out with additional endgame. Despite now getting new endgame (which imo is very fun) people are complaining its too hard because they can't clear it all immediately 😅 guess the devs had a point

I also think the new endgame is fun and this just shows that Hoyo can never please everyone. This is an endgame mode so it's not expected for everyone to be able to beat it until they get some more characters/teams over their belt. And guess what - I am no whale, I have no constellations (except Raiden), used almost all of the "opening characters" they gave us, the supports and was able to easily beat it. You don't need cracked relics or sig weapons to get it done and over time you'll build more and more characters. And if you don't want to do that and are so casual that you just want to play with one team, and walk around and have fun with it, then why do you care about an Endgame mode?

@@ALEXMARTINEZ-dz7so Yup. What helped me a lot was drawing a few cards that recharged my Arle and Raiden so they were in essence the MVPs with the other characters mostly existing there as fodder... There were also some early floors with hydro/cryo enemies where Benny+Xianling went hard *insert Xianling meme*.

What's stupid is the requirement is AR35...but if we think about it, a normal AR35 account don't usually have a lot of built characters 😅

If someone can't beat the challenge at their current level, maybe they're not ready. Just because a content is available to someone at a specific level, doesn't mean they should be able to complete it, but at the same time if they can complete it, why restrict them with an AR requirement higher than 35?

Well, easy and normal mode exists. A good amount of 4* characters can fill up multiple roles among the elements, but I imagine it would be harder to have enough especially for hydro cuz Hoyo is holding off on 4* hydro characters. Only 3 of them exist.

The biggest issue is that it forces you to have enough characters of all elements leveled up and built. Granted, it is end game content, so at some point you will just be collecting characters that you don't have and building them. However, for right now, people pull who they want, not because they don't have enough of one element.

I feel like the takes from Genshin content creators on the imaginarium don’t reflect most players, content creators have to build and test almost every character and team, where as most players build enough for their two abyss teams and characters they like. Build your favs ignore everyone else type mindset. I like the new game mode, I think it has the potential to be a lot better than the abyss with the roguelike aspects and forcing you to try out off meta team comps and 4* dps but I think it needs some massaging to live up to it’s potential

@@BranOnline I definitely agree, I think future imaginariums will probably be more interesting/challenging since it changes the way a lot of people play Genshin, I just think a lot of creators are missing that point. Imo it’s a great addition to the game for changing peoples approach to team comps and building their less used characters! It’s just going to take a while for the player base to make the transition away from pure vertical investment

"This endgame content just for old player, smh". Not only in Genshin. When you just play any game in just a few days and you asking for perfect clear the endgame content, you're out of your mind. It just like a newborn baby having a grandchild.

​​​​​Not two months to build a character,​It will take few weeks. Afterall the boss are easy with buff being provided and only two character is what you need to focus in each act. Rest two can be filler and just slap any artifacts you want. 2 months needs for character to built perfectly to clear the last two floors of abyss and not for such an easy mode which can be cleared with half build If you have more than two abyss team then it is easy.​ Some character are provided by genshin as guest. Anyone who played for more than 1 year previously and prepared to clear abyss would have no problem with this mode imo as it was in my case. @@JoseAlmeida99999

​@Soopylikes2draw sounds like me. Up until Sumeru release, I didn't invest time in team building, leveling up over 70, artefacts or talents. Genshin quests and overworld are easy enough for the casual player and you are free to just play the characters you like best. Don't let the pressure of endgame mode spoil your fun and play at your own pace.

Me over here with my lvl 70 in pyro, anemo and electro characters and i only got to act 6 (I'm surprised i even made it that far, those vishaps were the death of me 😭)

Its easy for people who have well built chatacters and knows how to use them and for whales who have almost all the characters in game, for others it pushes them to build their characters and learn how to use them and i see that as a good thing. Also considering its just the first version they might add more tough opponents later and i wish they add a Whale mode with like lvl 110 opponents or something so that almost all the players are finally satisfied with something(which is technically impossible)

It’s pretty fun. You don’t always get the right team comps for battles and just have to make do with whatever. Still trying to get full stars though. Leyline defence is total ass.

Ive been playing for 3 years, and i think this is a really good game mode! It's unfriendly to new players, sure, but it's a great challenge for late game players who need a new challenge besides the same old spiral abyss. It wasn't too difficult but it certainly wasn't overly easy either. A very fun time.

Developers: "We're not planning on adding more endgame so we don't make players anxious" Players: "We don't have anything to do with out characters we need endgame modes!" Devs: *Starr rolling out new endgame modes, chaos and anxiety everywhere*

They did not say that they did not plan to add a new endgame, on the contrary, they said that they would add it, what they said was that they would not do the 13th floor of the abyss, or abyss 2, and if they create an endgame, they will do something new than abyss.

I nearly screwed it up when I first played, 'coz I used my most Meta characters (Father, Clorinde, Miko etc) way too early and by the end I was a bit cooked. Luckily my Lisa still carried well enough but yeah it requires a bit of strategy I reckon.

I like this new game mode cuz it supports pulling and building a variety of characters rather then following the meta specifically for abyss as you benefit more from variety in this mode

i'm ar60 and i have 39 characters at level 80+ with good builds, but my friend (also ar60) has less than 15 characters build at level 80, and only 5 of them are pyro, electro and anemo. This game mode made some of us realize that there is a problem with resin, rewards and rng...

Same as your friend here. I've been playing for almost a year but cleared all the Main Quest up to Bedtime Story. I'm AR57. I have around 15 well enough built character, but for me the problem really is the elemental restrictions. Of my 15, I only have 7 Electro, Pyro or Anemo. Most of my mains are Dendro, Hydro and Cryo. I only managed to do the first one because I somehow managed to quickly upgrade the last rando electro I had not built. But yeah, now I just don't have anymore of character of these elements. Just not that type of luck in my pulls

I tried the normal difficulty with mostly lvl 60 characters. Why are the enemies lvl 80. How are you supposed to beat them

I fricken loved the highest difficulty, it was a blast to beat. Finally something for people who like building all characters.

its called ENDgame so if you cant do it your probably not in the endgame yet and if you are like ar 60 and cant do it just build more charachters thats what this gamemode wants you to do

The 2 things I personally dislike about the gamemode are the element restriction and the random character picking (so pretty much the entire gamemode lol). I personally prefer to build more quickswap teams compared to hypercarry, where the unit synergy is more important than pure strength of a single character, and not having a single unit do the heavy lifting is pretty punishing. I consider myself having decently built teams in the form of Klee Furina, Nilou Bloom, Ayaka Freeze, C6 Dori Aggravate, Nahida double hydro hyperbloom, Itto Monogeo. How am I supposed to play in a pyro/anemo/electro restriction. It's probably just a skill issue, but man, this just felt bad to not have more than half my built characters playable.

Same, I'm used to using Yelan/Neuvi teams and only going Pyro/Electro/Anemo feels like... Crap. It's super restricted and completely rng. You can get nothing but support or *only* DPS and that can fold your run. I cleared it by the grace of rng Jesus himself

I love the design behind the game mode and how much more interesting it is than Spiral Abyss, BUT I feel like this should have been more like Divergent Universe in HSR where your characters get pseudo-leveled up so you can test them instead of punishing you for not leveling all of your characters up. If the problem is that their trying to solve is that they want you to level up more characters, then maybe instead of the “you get an HP/ATK/DEF boost in and out of the theater” it should be “these certain characters now take less resources to build for this small window of time.” This way if people discover that they like certain characters they’ve never used more than they thought, they can go and level them!

This mode is showing the investment of the players if you found it easy you have an account with good investment and knowledge about the game if you found it difficult or impossible you don't know the basics of the game and are negligent with your characters or it could also be that you are a new player who doesn't understand that this is an "END" game or a whale who will never have the chance to use your c6r5 characters because Mihoyo doesn't make content with that in mind and obviously won't make content where is this necessary

while abyss tests your dps, this mode tests your builds- all of them. as a 1.0 player, most of my supports are built and i honestly had a lot of fun with just doing Random Bullshit Go

Assuming this will cover all 7 elements some day, it forces you to have anywhere from 28 to 37ish characters built, in an even spread of elements, that can all work in multiple different teams and with robust builds that don't share any pieces. AND they all have to be level 70, so you can't toss in a lv20 to fill your roster and just roll with an effectively 3-man team sometimes. Honestly, it's just an unnecessary barrier to entry that will "price out" most newer accounts from what's otherwise a pretty fun game mode, ensuring that if you have access to it, you probably can clear it easily enough that it's not as fun anymore...

It was really fun trying to beat some levels because I knew that I could do it but it was just tough. Not like abyss were if I can't do it it's because of dps check

i've played basically since the beginning and am a relatively low spender with only my 5 stars and very few 4 stars actually built. i'm struggling very hard on this game mode because of the time limit and also a lot of the charcaters I have built are using the recommended build from years ago, not newly updated builds

"it's easy" famous last words. That's what we said abt the spiral abyss years ago, before they started putting consecrated beasts and stagger enemies with high hp in. 🙂

I think if they add one more character that’s built for you and one more point of vigor it would be better. Or if you could change how much vigor you have

Ive been playing for a year. Its irritatingly difficult for me because they chose the 2 elements i literally have nothing for. I only had a few electro characters save yoimiya. They also did not provide a good variety of characters to fill the spaces either. My biggest gripe is the preselected element types. The limit doesn't bother me, its that ive spent the last year building around elements that are actually worth it and that are flexible. Its a bit frustrating

I’ve played for a little more than 2 years now, i can still only make it to act 5 before quitting midway. This is with raiden, yanfei, venti, kazuha, xianyun, alhaitham, fischl, gaming, etc plus main ones you’re given. My hyperbloom does not work here for context, im a low spender (50-100 dollars spent in total over past 2yrs) and am AR 57.

I've played for 3 years already, almost 4 so this is the best game mode for me especially since I have everyone raised to at least 80, almost all 90. I have something to do in the game now :D

Thank you for saying facts!!! And this who “played for a year and it’s still” usually means they’re a casual player, or they only use/build 2 teams ever and keep building those teams!

It reminds me of the Simulated Universe in HSR with the buffs, but did you pick any buffs for the characters? Plus, C6 R5 Diluc with WGS I'm pretty sure it would be a cake walk for you. I really like it, and I don't have all my characters built(nor will I build them for this game mode). The trial ones are really helpful. I feel like having all the buffs makes this "endgame mode" really easy.

I think it’s really fun but I also didn’t try hard mode, I chose normal which made the enemies levels much lower- unfortunately this also means I could only complete it up to act 6 (normal tops off at 6) BUT seeing how hard it was for others I think I made the right choice 😭

AR58 and I'm so glad Coppelius wasn't the abyss version because otherwise my scuff team would not have cut it(Chlorinde, EM Raiden, Jean and Lynette)

As a F2P, this was fairly difficult. I barely beat Hard mode with about 2 seconds remaining.

As someone who spent 1.0 til 2.8 just spending and not saving I hve a lot of characters. Pyro's long been one of my worst elements. With 5 hydro 5*s and 4 cryo 5*s my other elements are rather neglected. But I finally got Arlecchino, and Clorinde was the first 50/50 I've won since Nahida came out. No Special Guest Stars worked for me but oh well. Even like this it was easy to make it through. Living on old built 4*, bringing out an EM Lisa and a shitty Heizou, a Xiangling with awful energy issues. I missed getting the star on 2, but making it through at all was absolutely no issue

Yeah i only have 4 characters built rn (traveler, gaming, bennet, and xianyun) cause i joined in late 4.3 so all i can do is the easy mode which makes sense since this is endgame content

I was barely able to meet the requirements for act 6. The last act I took 30 minutes to do and only one of them was my character.

The thing at annoys me so much about the people complaining is that this is an end game content, not beginner level. Most people i saw complaining are ar 45 to ar 54. These might seem high but you need to have atleast played for 2 yrs minimum and have nearly every 4 star character. Yeah the new end game seems annoying but its called END game for a reason.

As an AR 55 F2P, I will never financially recover from this. Even If I level up all of my Anemo, Electro and Pyro characters, I just don’t have enough of them to be able to do the hard difficulty Theater

The 6 acts were super easy for me to complete, but I’m having sm trouble finishing the 8 act one (I’m at 6 acts and I can keep going but if use my hu tao to finish it then I’m not going to have any good characters later on)

Just FYI, the new game mode allows you to pick prebuilt Character for the first 7 characters you bring (i dont remember exact number).

i was alr in the process of building every 5* and 4* i owned, it seems that now i have to speed that up lol ⚰️

been playing genshin for about a year and i have only ever saved and focused on building 2 chacracters being my dps, my supports are also built, but 18 lvl 70 characters is smth o was never prepared for... with my current status i did till act 5 before failing to continue.... building new chacracters will take me alot of time, so rip

honestly, as someone who spends resin almost daily and has been playing since 2.0, (1.1 but i quit for a bit) i can't get past the vishaps. and that's okay! im severely unlucky when it comes to 50/50s, and artifacts hate me. most of my characters are at 71 with good weapons and talents, it's just artifacts.

I play for more than 2 years now (Ar60) but damn.. it was a freaking tirture to finish it all and a lot of building the characters

I really like it but I didnt manage my characters so I ended up with no good characters for the final boss 🤡

The gamemode is good and actively pushes you to build up your 4 stars, ESPECIALLY since it gives select characters extra buffs in the overworld.

I can’t wait for Hydro! All my hydro characters are sharpening their weapons.

I thought we would be able to use those special guests even if we don't have them😢

I like it because it rewards horizontal investment, while Abyss rewards vertical investment. I think it's important to do both. As an f2p player who mainly loves collecting characters, I've never really put in the resources to get good at Abyss. I was pleasantly surprised at how fun I had with this new mode. I felt rewarded for my specific "collector" playstyle. I could see a lot of "vertical investment" players getting frustrated, though.

I almost made to act 8, despite having a triple crowned Arlecchino, i still couldnt do it. Tho the difficulty comes from planning out which teams you save and which you use later on. I might be abke to make it tho, if i can get my Clorinde's up and get a proper sands.

The issue is for many f2p players like myself we don’t have all the characters because most of us only pull for who we like so for me I don’t really like pyro characters and I don’t have any 5* of them, that wouldn’t be an issue if the trial characters were actually good, I had to use them because I didn’t have any of the five star characters and they were terrible. Couldn’t even make it past five.

Meanwhile star rail leveling up all your characters in divergent universe

As somebody who’s only been playing since December 2033 and actually saves my wishes for specific characters and builds - I literally only have standard characters cause I’ve lost every single 50/50, Nahida, and Neuvillette. I am suffering. I don’t even have enough 4 stars to compensate, like- on standard, I haven’t gotten a new 4 star in ages. I keep getting constellations for characters I have sat at lvl 20 and 40 and as fun as I imagine this game mode could be, it really punishes newer players for simply just not playing the game sooner. I’ll be able to do it with time, but right now I can barely get past the twin vishaps, and even then I have to use friend’s builds because the builds they loan you are.. Not Great (TM)

I saved up for so long to get a C6 Neuvillette only to learn I can’t use him in this gamemode right now. I would have liked not restricting which elements you can use.

i agree with Bran, but i just KNOW that my Rock-less account is gonna feel the pain when they limit me to Geo lmao. I already have had all my characters are Lvl 81 or higher, but my Noelle is finally gonna get actual artifacts

The only problem is the fact, that you need 18 characters on lvl 60, I have only 6 of those and some of them match the characters they give us for free so I can't use them. If they wouldn't give the level restrictions I could easily clear this gamemode

I do prefer this over abyss as it gives me an incentive to build my characters and even lvl them. difficulty shouldn't equal fun, and I think this new endgame shows this perfectly as you still have to be smart about which characters you use so as to not exhaust their vigor uses.

As someone F2P who doesn't have many character build proprely, I have a struggle

the hard part was having enough built characters to do this... 1st try, hard mode, had no idea what to expect, beat it first try....under 10 mins... now i need to build dendro since I literally only have Nahida and Dendro traveler built...so annoying..

I got pyro, but no anemo dps and not enough electro. Borrowed my friend's Xiao, but I can't get his playstyle right so it doesn't do any good. I got use to not finishing abyss, but now I have to come to terms with constantly hitting a wall on this too. 🙃
