@@comradekoala1245 no sir, to me they’re all schmugly, the top to bottom look ruins it imo. If they just cut the grille in half and kept the upper portion with the horizontal vents it would be moneyyy.

Don’t care what anyone says, I think BMW scored with the larger grill. That’s been one thing I’ve always wished was larger and more pronounced/aggressive on the BMW.

I like your comment about the keypad. I also agree about the central cup holder being to near to the charging ports etc.

At first I couldn't stand the grill. But, when you see it in person, it's totally different. I bought a 2022 Brooklyn Grey 430i M Sport and love it.

I like the color combo. The grill I don’t care one way or the other because I’ll never buy one especially one with a 4cyl.for $60,000.I noticed this has a counterclockwise tach too. Thanks for the review Joe and Lori’s great work! 👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸

One more thing, that silver trim around the center controls really reflects the sun into your eyes. Dealer says it's not separately removable or I'd vinyl it in a heartbeat. Also, things like all-around cameras, lane centering, and remote start do not come standard in the base model, which for a $40K+ car they absolutely shot. HOT looking car, but . . . spend a lot less and top out a Honda or Toyota for ALL the luxuries. Great review.

Great video! Definitely waiting on the Gran Coupe. I return my lease at the end of the year and this is one of the 3 I’m considering. Is the 4 series have a more cavernous than the 3 series? I’m in a 3 series loaner and love the drive, but not the cabin. If so, I’ll consider the other two and drop the BMW.

Divorces over the front grille. Gotta love it. But I must admit it is growing on me. Have you seen it in dark red with the black grille and black wheels ? Very sharp. Thanks again Joe and Lori.

I got to drive the car as a loaner in this beautiful blue color. The m sport package seems to make the front end way better since it’s all blacked out. To be fair it looks pretty good even though it’s huge since it grows on you. Once you’re behind the wheel though, it really feels a lot smaller than it actually is.

Great review as always! Btw BMW just launched their new M5 CS! It does looks beautiful though. Especially with dark green (or British Green if I'm not mistaken) with yellow headlights. I'm glad they didn't make the M5 CS's grille the same as this one. Can't wait to see when will you get your hands on one!

I picked up my 430i early this month and I have been thrilled with it so far. I have the same spec minus the laser lights and I love my car I was a little worried about the performance of the car coming for a 2017 Q60 RS but BMW definitely under rates the power this car makes as well as the transmission is excellent

I'm more of a fan of the 5 series, But the 4 series hold a place in my heart. I'm just not sold on the new front grill. It kinda reminds me of when Chevy redesign the frontend of the Camaro in 2019. I didn't hate it nor loved it. Maybe in time the new grill for the 4 series will grow on me.

I like the asymmetrical speedometer and tachometer. I hadn't seen that before.

Getting mine in a month after putting an order in 2 months ago. I brought it just for the new grille. Can’t wait.

Unpopular opinion but I love the grille, I think it distinctly says BMW. No other car could get mixed up for these new bmw’s. It’s in your face and intimidating!

Grill is polarizing for sure,, but I do not hate it. Love the red calipers and the interior is amazing!!!! Would “zonk” the engine. Needs to be more substantial considering the 4 Series is supposed to be sporty.

I love BMW and own 2, but the best way I can describe the newer design (2019 - 2021) is like the child proofed it. It just looks smoother, bigger, softer, and chonky. The previous generation looks a lot sharper and edgier by comparison in my opinion. Really like the tail lights, other than not, not really a fan.

Great review Joe! Holy options shock! This car is $60k for a 255hp four cylinder? The base price is already $5k too high at $44k. Even the 440i shouldn’t cost $60k. I’ve owned two new BMW’s but at these prices, I’ll be looking elsewhere.

I think a change is good and they executed it well. It looks bmw but it’s finally changed. I like the rear. I love the front. Beautiful vehicle imo

This 430i has definitely grown on me.

And the "functional shutters" behind the grille - what could possibly go wrong? Uh, like not opening while crawling in I-10 traffic in Scottsdale in August in 117f heat?

Don’t forget to move the shifter to the left when in sport mode There is more than enough performance.

In 2023 when my Mini Countryman lease is up. I’m definitely looking at this car as my top choice. I like the grill.

JJ ~ new M5 C5 looks JUICY, butt I'd take this as an early birthday gift (hint hint lovely Lori) lol. honest opinion here from the famous tony - I DIG IT BABY. people are already used to the Lexus 40" grill that cover the entire hood& fascia haha, this isn't even half as shocking as that was when it first came out. but don't let me stop ya Joe, keep going . . . Lori is nailing it on capturing video, she's smoother than the side lines of the new design - I like both. BMW is evolving in a good direction - quality just like Lori & Joe - tony

Another great review from Joe! Not a fan of the huge grill but it doesn't look too bad. I wish the blue accent in the headlights was bright red and BMW could keep the full halo DRL.

Bmw says the USB plug near the cup holder is water proof. I've split a good amount of coffee in mine earlier this year after is was cut off unexpectedly and it still works perfectly.

The more I look at this car, the more I realize the problem isn't the grill per se. The problem is that the front end and rear end don't match The rear end needs to be a little more spectacular to go with the front. It needs something-bigger haunches, or a bigger spoiler.
