Part of the grieving process is also anger. Grieving isn't linear, many feelings come and go, you go through the several stages of grief at times, some stages more than once. But, being as it IS a PROCESS, let whatever comes come, don't het attached to the feelings. Sit with them, understand your 'why', and REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE. You aren't a victim, you're a survivor and a badass. You are worth so much more, regardless of what any shallow, self-absorbed, short-sighted person anywhere in this world thinks of you. The only opinion that matters right now through the grieving process s YOUR opinion of yourself. This is YOUR time, to find you again. You got this. ❤️🌻

The pain I went though and you too was more than we could barely bare but here we are. I've had to learn to set boundaries. I've had to learn to not be so much of a pleaser. I've had to learn so many things just to survive. And so have you! These lessons will help us in the future. I am so much stronger than I used to be. I'm starting to believe that empaths are God's chosen ones... How else could we love the unlovable? Turn the other cheek a million times, suck up the deep, shredded pain and the stabbing, gut wrenching hurt when you realized they don't love ANYONE but themselves. I have so many memories of times I thought oh how wonderful, we're finally getting along. He brought me flowers or my favorite candy or a trip to my favorite place. Then I mentioned something he didn't agree with and bam!!! Just like that, you are an idiot who just tried to piss Him off and ruin everything and how we don't care about them at all. Suddenly one day you wake up and realize it's never going to change never going to get better. That's when reality hits harder than the cruel things they said to you. That's the day the wall goes up and you begin to live for yourself and put the fairytale to rest... Forever.

After 22 years of marriage and 4 daughters with a narc (psycho, liar, theif, snake, rat, bully). I am finally free from the madness. I heard the term Narc about 5 years ago. In the beginning I thought she was just overly jealous. Then overly controlling and then manipulative. I always said my happiness comes in small doses. Get married, buy a house and have kids. Life is good for awhile. She seemed happy when the kids were small. She liked being the mother duck- being in control. Always had to be the center of attention- the star of the show. As the kids started to get older I coached their basketball teams, hockey etc. The kids on the teams loved me and I was popular with the parents. The NARC HATES THAT. The now insanely, jealous, controlling manipulator is on a mission to destroy your character and credibility. She did not like the other mothers telling her how much their children loved being on the basketball team and how much they loved the coach. She always had to keep me down, clip my wings and keep me under her thumb. And yep- it gets worse. At the end- when she realized I was done and she was losing me/ her control over me, she behaved like a wild animal. Violent fits of rage- worse than the usual fits of rage. Belittling me in front of my daughters. She loved an audience. She tried everything in her power to destroy me as a human being. Not just ruin my reputation or something but really try to destroy me. Next comes the fabricated - he hit me. I ended up paying for a criminal defense attorney in addition to a divorce attorney. Best money I ever spent. I had a hard time escaping her altogether because the kids were still young enough for her to USE them as pawns in her sick little control games. She brainwashed my children- turned them against me. It was almost 10 years before my oldest would speak to me. When my oldest daughter moved from her mother's house- it was then that she decided to speak with me. My ex still has a tremendous level of control over the kids. She stole my daughters from me and robbed my daughters of a loving father. If their is one unforgivable sin, this is surely the one. What really, finally set me free was ZERO CONTACT. My life is so peaceful now. I am now living happily ever after. ZERO CONTACT.

My nephew is in a similar situation. His 3 kids have been brainwashed, and he only gets the youngest child once in a while, but ex tries to derail that, as well. My brother was so close to my nephew's son, the oldest, and the ex poisoned his mind so badly, that he no longer sees my brother, his grandfather. My brother took him hunting and had many special times with him. She basically made her son responsible for raising his sisters, changing their diapers and all that when he was only a child himself. Major issues for the future, he is now over 18 and his narc Mom has been to counseling for how she has made him responsible for caring for his sibs. This counseling was court ordered and very short-lived, as she felt she didn't need it. She is a doctor and has been fired from her hospital jobs, etc. My nephew has had no choice but to move on and pray for the day that his three children will see the truth, as they become adults. Meanwhile he has a lovely person in his life and she has two young sons who adore my nephew. Nephew is in emergency med profession and does life-flighting. He is a great guy, never tried to bring harm to the ex despite her hatred.

Last year, I nearly put my life's savings down to buy a flat for us to live in, then I had a weird gut feeling and pulled out of the sale, a week later I was discarded. He asked to stay friends, foolishly I did for a few months until I learned about narcissism. He had his ex lined up as a supply from the moment I was discarded. When Narcs get with someone they'll always withold something that partner wanted. Could be anything from marriage to sex to a new washing machine or car etc.... Whatever they witheld they'll make a point of giving to the new supply. This is purely to upset the former supply or to decieve the former supply into thinking they may've changed so they'll give them a 2nd chance at a later date. 9x10 the witheld gift is something the new supply doesn't even want. Or something they're totally unaware of. Its a show. Behind the announcements and pics, the new supply is already being devalued especially if you didn't notice

This is 100% correct. He did what he did to his ex wife, to me. The patterns of abuse and poor behavior was identical. She had kids with him, so she will always be tied to him. I never did, thank God. And now he faces his own karma. I am free. Still have days of loneliness, i fear that, as a result of the last relationship with him, it could happen again. He destroyed my spirit. I hope to have a heathy relationship one day. I see red flags off the bat, now.

I lived with a psychopathic narcissist for 20 years. I was totally naive about him. He was what I thought was my true love- but I was completely in the dark. One day he just decided to leave me and my two boys and I found out - he drained the bank accounts, refinanced the house that went into foreclosure. When we were married, I had to scrap money together to buy groceries. He totally abused me mentally and financially. He isolated me from my friends and family. I was totally alone. He constantly tried to control me even after he left me. I had to move 5 hours away so he would leave me alone! I went through counseling and that’s when I discovered that he was a Narcissist. I gave him everything, I gave him love, he just took everything. I couldn’t buy anything for me or my boys- meanwhile he was spending money on deer leases, guns, barbecue grills, boats, etc. He would give me flowers like once a year and somehow that romanced me and I would never see what was happening. He left me and found a new supply who had a house already (so he didn’t have to pay for rent), she bought him a new truck and I guess as long as she spends money on him- he stays. Meanwhile- he neglects his boys. He tried to NOT pay child support and he never helped with the boys. He would just try to control them! Luckily- they understand it now but it still hurts them. Please do a chat about kids being abused by the narcissist. That would help a lot! Love your channel!

I knew something was off during the 5&1/2 years. But I didn’t know what it was. I started getting emotionally abused by him and his son. I let it go. Nothing I did was ever good enough. Then he used my farm for his business and I was treated like crap even by his father. I was constantly put down and I became a shell of myself. I got to where I didn’t want to be around him and I feared him coming home to complain and put me down. I thought he was the best I could get. Boy was I wrong. I’m done ruminating over him since he abandoned me. He won’t get his stuff off my farm though and he already has a new girlfriend. I just want this over!! Plus he wants 180,000 dollars for upgrades he made on my farm for his business. I’m conflicted about what I really owe him.

My narc had a new supply while still living with me and moving things out. At the same time, he was still trying to convince me to stay in the relationship. He left and he kept saying to me he was missing me. After six months, he came to tell me he wanted to be with me forever and we should have been always together, that he was missing me so much. At the same time,he couldn’t deny that he was having his options open while with me, he couldn’t deny he was pursuing other supplies when I started to complain about his behaviour with me, and he started blaming me for giving up on the relationship. I came into the conclusion that these kind of people are truly sick, but I couldn’t helped it and I expressed myself and told him how wrong he was about everything, specially for what he was doing to his new supply, which was the same he did to me. The pattern was there and real. I could witness it. Sick!!!!!

For sure, never really moody. What he did was. Play mind games which I didn't understand no affection for months flirting. I didn't understand all that. I just thought he was being nice. Stupid me and then at the end. He used all the personal things. I told him the same. Things that happened to me by my dad things my dad said he said to me it was mind-blowing. Everything I ever told him like I've never had anyone ever cheat on me. I don't know what it is to have that. And then all of a sudden, he has supply behind my back. That's really funny, not really. Then I had told him something. My father had said to me That's what I went through. I don't understand why he was so nice every day. His personality was the same no matter what. But it was like living with a mask on. There was underlying issues he refused to talk about. And it was very lonely so I guess there's different kinds of narks.😂 It's been 2 and a 1/2 months now, and I'm waiting to get the rest of my things back. And then I'm blocking him done done done. But what a thing to get over the lies that went on for 7 years.😊

One year ago I had dated a narcissist I got fast. I with the narcissist for 7 weeks. I got out when he grabbed my arm. I was trying to figure him out. I had lost my boyfriend 4 years ago I was still grieving. I just kept keeping my eye open. When he hurt my arm I told him you hurting my arm. He said I am not hurting you. That was the end. He did not get to steal the bags from Walmart that night. He knows he was wrong but he still had to be mean. I did not care on what I had bought at the store. He only took the salad dressing. One day I see him at the store. I was trying to find my brother. I went back of the store to stay away from the front of the store. It’s been one year ago.

Dude you're spot on. She made you an expert (the same here). Another thing, working on yourself day in and day out is the best and maybe the only way too stop from going back. It's really sad to feel like a victim for a sad person. And the annoying part is that they look perfectly ok. WTF.

Andrew, you nailed it. I spent over 30 years trying to recover, heal, and understand what he did to me in those short nine years. I definitely NEVER let it happen again, though. And even in hard times in those 30 years...was better than the nine years spent with him.

Thank you. Your words are so true. I have often wondered if my ex narcissistic husband treats his new partner different to me. No I don't think so. In fact I don't know if I feel sorry for her. But she rescued me from narcissistic abuse. I am an Empath - very kind and sympathetic. I still get upset when people show me any kindness - as my ex husband was cruel to me in the end.

Had to laugh over your title on this. Many years into my narc's second marriage to his new supply, she told my daughters that their Dad does not treat her like he treats others that he knows. It was confirmation to me that someone else knew exactly what he is like. He treats those outside of family very nicely and they all think he is so sweet and gentle and a quiet guy. As I always said, when others doubted my truth about him, "No one knows what goes on behind closed doors." I was never a problem for the new wife, as I was just so glad that someone else finally could see and know the truth about him. One day I hope to have a nice, "sit-down" with her, so we can finally have a heart-to-heart about what an emotional abuser he is/was.

I had 10% happy times to 90% bad times! Two months not a word from him and I don’t ever want to hear from him. I was dumb with him. But I’m not stupid either! I shut down with him 5 months before he left I d just did not care at all what he was doing. It was all lies anyway. I’m getting happier and I’m calmer each day! I still have a ways to go. Yes I’ve done the list all ready. Good 10 bad 90 %. Yes, I was the best!! I think less and less thinking about him every day. I’m ready for god to give me a normal stable man. Love you! I watch u every evening! From Ohio hello! God bless you

Another great video that captures being in a narcissistic relationship pre and post very well. You are spot on with you never know what you are going to get from that person. After she discarded me, she went to therapy and claimed "emotionally, unavailable avoidant men" were the source of her problems. Yet, every time I would go to share my emotions and feelings, she would belittle me with "Oh, you're not going to get all squishy on me are you." Then, I stopped trying. I'm sure she is doing the same thing to the new supply, not giving him a safe space to share his emotions and feelings, then blaming him as the source of the problem in the end. You are so right on finding someone that provides a level playing field, being supportive, negotiating issues and disagreements.
