Love these! Had them as hire cars abroad and couldn't fault them! If Renault had sold them in the UK I would have bought one! Get the rust sorted!

I had my blue Twingo for 16 years and 400,000 km without issue, just some rust around the sills.

I've got the same chariot from 1994 in the same colour. Not in this mint condition, not at all :) but I can say it is a very reliable little car. I love it.

this car was made for city driving (not that you cant take it on 500 kilometers roadtrip, its just it wasnt meant to be used llike that) and in that it excels. they are cheap, reliable, not bad economy (given engines in those are still 30+ years old tech) and fun to drive. sadly Renault fcuked everything up with those tiny 0.9 TCe engines. they should just upgraded 1.2 and 1.2 16V and offer small, 1.0 Dci engine. later models were far from fun that mk1 provided.

Absolutely - we have done a few longer drives in it and whilst it doesn’t get the best mpg due to it’s city base it does alright!

See you at the 30th anniversary :) fancy convoying down together as we are both driving from south wales?

55 miles a day when I had it! It lives a much more coveted life with G now!
