My son begged us to let him get this early for his Xmas gift and he even kicked in $100 of his own money to cover the cost. And he has spent every free moment over the last month playing on this damn thing. I would say for him it was worth it and then some, as this is one of his most used items in all his 17 years.

It's worth it. I had the Quest 2 and it was hella trippy. You should try it out also. KZread 360 is beatty bad ass. You can be on a mountain and looking down or looking at sky it's scary. It was bothering me of the resolution and such but I enjoyed it. I enjoyed it watching movies with someone else same theater throwing pop corn to each other lol i had to move forward seats when people was still throwing pop corn. HA there was a point they fallow me up up front. I think this was in big screen app for vr. Another thing is watching 3d movies. I would tranfer my paid 3d movies on my pc to my head set and watch it in 3d. One of them was Avatar. Fantastic!!!!

The Quest 3 is my third VR (PlayStation first, then Samsung odyssey second). This is amazing, I'm so happy to see how far these devices have come. Definitely worth the money!

I returned mine and got the 2 pass through is a gimmick at this point and time ran into some bugs on the software I’ll wait for the 4 to do a upgrade just my opinion though

the "giant sensor ring" saved countless hands. 😁 Q3 makes you go bare knuckle into that wall, countertop edge, back of chair, etc.etc.

Does it have virtual meeting?

Probably worth it if you are able to check out the PC games like Doom VFR and HL Alyx (which are at discount pricing frequently), and if you can figure out how to sideload software. Some of the games on Meta's store feel like licensed tech demos that are slightly longer, but not really a full game (looking at you Star Wars). If you have a PC capable of running the VR games, it's probably worth it..not sure I'd recommend it to a non-tech person just looking to use the Meta game software. Also...I'm predicting that some of those future game software titles are going to become strictly subscription where you pay either $10 per month or $80 for 1 year for full access- couple of the games and apps are already like that.

What about Asgard's Wrath 2? I understand that is a killer game that right now you can get with the Quest 3, at least with the 512GB storage and that is a $60 game and 6 months of Meta Quest+ where you can get 2 games free/month you are subscribed. Then it's only $7.99/month or $59.99/year, that is not bad as long as the games are something you want to play. The games are not everyone's cup of tea, as the saying goes. Then there are different games every month at a fraction of the cost and you can cancel anytime. I think that is some thing I will keep. You can get both Asgard's Wrath 2 and the 6 months free Meta Quest+ only if you order by March 30th. Other than the battery life is about the same as the Quest 2 the main problem with it is that none of the accessories for the Quest 2 will work with the Quest 3 and I have a few that I would love to use.

Maybe you should try more realistic looking games like bonelab? I highly recommend the pcvr version over the quest version, no matter the game, they just always have better graphics on the pcvr version

Asgards wrath 2 was one of the highest rated games flat or VR. Assassin's Creed and Arizona Sunshine 2 just released. Plus there is a ton of other older games...

@McWookieVR bought it, which it won't until the Quest 3 has better sales, and why they are looking at quest 3 lire as the main system, as Quest 3 price point is eve dearer than PSVR2. I know here just the 128gb version is $200-400 Dearer than PSVR2, and the 512gb is dearer again, and the 128gb version won't have enough memory in 12 months or less, as games are getting bigger. Shame on them not using expandable memory 128gb is just not enough. Not to mention the strap is junk and need a better strap. For me, I have a ps5, and psvr2 is far cheaper than Quest 3.

@@dennisrogers6786 went for the 512gb and worth every penny. As can fill it up with loads of games and play it anywhere. Paying off quest for 12 months so don’t even notice payments. Like 50 a month. Very very happy with it. Had to buy strap, rechargeable battery’s for controllers and better head strap. Carry case and recently bought the neck battery charge thing which I highly recommend as increase’s playtime allot 👌games are getting the quest 3 updates and some are exclusive to quest 3 only. Recent update has made the pass through even better. If I had the cash would buy the quest 2 to play games with son. As at a good price point. But should get a few years out of quest 3 until the 4th arrives. Only negative I have is battery life but with the neck battery pack it solves that. For me it’s worth the extra money as use it everyday. And is like a mobile phone contract cost. Finish payments October so not long to go. 👌 compared to most vr headsets it’s very competitive and fair price point. £585 now on Amazon for larger gb 👌

@@dennisrogers6786 me again. I had the psvr1 for ps4 which was great at time but never had pancake lenses so was tough to find sweet spot. Seemed to mist up allot. And most annoying thing for me was all the wires contacted to console. For me that ruined the freedom of range of movement. I love that I can put quest in carry case and travel and use it anywhere. In middle of a field if I want 😀 excited for the future of VR. Infact I’m hooked now no longer switch on Xbox series X. My go too is the quest 😎👌
