I think the machine and the culture of the NBA does this to ANY “generational” player. They hype them up and then when they don’t immediately pan out they turn on them. They want everyone to be Lebron or Luka. Look at Zion and the controversy he brings. Wemby is going to THE absolute best place he could go. The Spurs will develop him correctly.

Wemby is essentially Tonys Kid, Tim Duncan is in awe over Wemby..Even if pop wants to coach wemby in a traditional way, he will see how much respect tim, manu and tony has for wemby and will become more and more leinant on his top dog Wemby. Victor will develop tim duncan foot work mixed with joker and TMac... Coach pop may let wemby bring up the ball like joker
