Well you're the first person that picked the r36 s over the XU 10 in all the reviews I've watched in the last few days. I did get an extra 10 on temu for 59 bucks. I'm just an old guy looking to play games and I like the way it's all set up and I don't have to do anything but turn it on and have fun. And I'm not expecting too much out of the higher end games

All of these portrait based handhelds being released at the same time. I'm still waiting on that Trimui Smart Brick!

I’m honestly surprised you were unaware that most pre-installed PSone Rom don’t include CD Audio. That makes about a 90% difference in Rom size. You can always swap them out with full downloads. That’s what I did for games I want to play extensively on my Super Console X2 Pro.

Kinda wild that this is the first time you've come across PS1 games without audio. It's a super common practice for handheld makers to strip out the audio from the games in order to save space. Shame about the speakers blowing out tho.

R35&36S hands down the best value for your money. I play them more than any of my other handhelds. The only other one that I play as much is the 405M but for the money they are IT❤

Yeah If it has emulationstation, and a menu gives a lot of options, it will have a submenu to let you flip through a page of options

I personally prefer the left analogue stick on the top and the dpad below and want the right a b x y buttons on top (like this is). Really don't know why we even need a right analogue stick at all with this price point and spec?

I’ve seen it around the same price as the 36s tho. The dpad seems better, maybe with cfw I’d prefer it

I want this Handheld in Twilight Purple! This Handheld basically has a RK3326 with a higher clockspeed of 1.6ghz. Even if the JELOS Team doesn't pick up this Handheld I'll still buy it! 😁

Can you swap the SD card from the 36s? Does it work?

Sometimes buying a purple handheld is like drinking a delicious glass of grape drink; it's fun and rewarding. Other times it's like downing a jug of Mopar's grape colored antifreeze; at least it's a great way to meet cute ER nurses on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Sadly; you never know what type of purple drink you're going to get until it's too late. Buying this unit is definitely like slurping the juice out of a Jeep Wrangler's radiator with a paper straw. Thanks Stubbs for saving me some money.

Can you add a second controller for 2 players?

Thanks for the video. I've just got one of these and so far ive found two issues: the G button is veeeery light, like you literally just touch it and it triggers, no click basically, and the headphones jack is weird, it's not 'smooth', like the headphone jack gets stuck inside, and the sound is full of noises like it's catching the interferences from surrounding hardware...are either of these normal or I've got a defective unit? Thanks!

I kind of wish that as far as design goes, the OG game boy design would ditch sticks and just do 6 face buttons (genesis 6 button controller) would would be great for fighting games and any just be there if needed for a game and they would build the system to run everything that didn’t use analog joysticks at 720 and run it great. Lower power consumption, simple form factor. No aspect ratio concerns. Just this little beast that has long battery life. And then use the landscape layout to be similar in effort (long battery life, don’t focus on pushing boundaries with graphics) where the price points can vary depending on how far it can go with systems. Make them reasonably priced and over time just update the guts. It would still be a business model with growth, but it would be about refinements to a solid base.

How can I go back to FULL UI when changed to KIDS UI? Can anybody help?

Usually when there is an S after a processor model #, something has been taken away from the non-S model. It probably doesn't matter on a device like this. The .1 mhz speed difference might just be a mistake. In early computers, the S meant that you didn't get a co-processor. On an RK3588S (for single-board computers), you got fewer PCIe lanes and lost a couple other things that I can't remember off the top of my head.

I think the protrusions on the top and bottom are there to avoid copyright from other similar devices.

I bought a xu 10 used as I can't afford a new one. now i start it up. it starts as it should. but stops working when i have selected a game. I know that I have to buy a good SD card for it. but is there a place where I can find a new emulator for it, greetings Jakob.

2 weeks since I received the r36s.. It stops loading, stuck at front loading screen with a _ blinking on the left top corner... And the left joystick is already "F...ed" I rarely use it but it tilted down... Guess the spring already needs to be replace and i hope it operates with AA batteries, that would make traveling a lot easier also the back buttons r too loud... Playing street fighter was a pain anyway mine stops working already, it's a good system good idea but i don't think it was tested properly especially build quality is 👎... Crap

Maybe you just need to change for good quality SD card, becase the the default card on it sucks, and files get corrupted or games/systems doesn't load

Is not better! The OS is locked, dont buy it, is not worth it.

You should have compared it's size to that of a small smartphone and not with a can of worms.

Thanks! Yeah its wanted for some unsolved crimes but I don't ask questions.

I am telling you from my experience that the battery of this console becomes dead after 1 month.you can't play most of the N64, psp, ps1 games as they all hangs,lags,unable to play.The graphics of other platform games are so horrible that even you will not wish to watch them leave the thinking of play.

To be fair it's actually a PS1 style D-Pad where it's a whole piece of plastic. It's not four separate buttons like many knock off PS1 controllers.

Is it acceptable to say there are a lot of PS1 games and then not say how many there actually are? How long does it take to say how many? One second? Am I the only one that likes to know when someone mentions what's on it like nes SNES DS and every other system you mentioned that you take one whole whopping second to mention the number? You said at the end it left you wanting? Maybe don't be a hypocrite and not leave us wanting.
