I’ve had mine since 2011. This was my go to for KZread until a month or two ago. I have a 2018 12.9 Pro, but I want an iPad to watch to watch KZread, and do everyday things with it. The Pro comes out every once in a while. I still love the iPad 3!

I have one it's still usable but the uptade is too low we can't download any app anymore

If u have a iPhone all u gotta do is sign in the same acc on the iPad go into perchace all the apps on the phone can be downloaded their,for who don't know.

Still works after 10 years! With the original battery. Though it drains a little bit faster now.

@@t.gchannel4067 Sometimes I get "cant establish secure connection". Most are fine. My iPad is jailbroken at 8.3. Newer games wont work but I can sideload older .ipa games. Plenty available. ePub/Marvin, cbz/ComicZeal work. Emulation: RetroArch snes OK. Higher systems are too slow.

its killing me that why almost all the channel did the web browse test by only went to the APPLE web site but not other sites like streaming sites, forum, etc

Netflix works fine here also. but unfotunely youtube and Line are not compactable

@@daienaa You can jailbreak it and check for older app versions on dedicated platforms. I bought an Ipad 3 a few weeks ago and use it for music production as a mobile recording studio. I have some cool apps running on it. Runs like a 1. You can jailbreak it, tweak it and install tools that make it faster and optimize it. It's a bit tricky, but you can get it today for $20-50 lots of fun. I would recommend you but rather an Ipad 4.

@@daienaa it's an unofficial, untrusted (by apple) way to get more apps and do other stuff, it's basically like modifying the software, but if you have warranty on your iPad, the warranty will be gone once you jailbreak it, so I would not recommend it, but it's your choice.

In my opinion there is not really any point upgrading but it's up to you. This is because the only difference between the iPad 2 and iPad 3 is the display.

Even if you could update it to iOS 14, the update would make it run so slow it would be unusable. Even iOS 9 slows it down a lot. It's not apple cutting us short, it's that iPad processors have gotten so much faster since then and the new versions of iOS are intended to work with newer, faster processors.

As you said - the newer faster IOS are INTENDED to work with newer, faster processors... and it is that intention which also is reflected in apps, etc. BUT - it wouldn't need to be so if they weren't so interested in making newer faster MONEY! Henry Ford (and others) proved that fact long ago by building AFFORDABLE autos that would LAST decades, keep running, be able to be upgraded, hold their value, and still be something the owners could be proud of having. And driving! And out of loyalty to Apple, we MacAddicts would spend our money on the newer stuff voluntarily, not because we were forced to by PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE.

I can’t even connect to wifi in my iPad 3rd gen

I bought one oif these for my daughter in 2912. It worked Ok back then, but even then, the heating issues and old-style connector were annoying. I replaced it with an iPad Air 2 in 2015--just 3 years later--which was a major improvement in every way. This was somewhat usable in the day, but 10 years later is totally obsolete. I definitely wouldn't recommend one to anybody but a collector. BTW, they still sell for about $75, which is cheap, but probably still more than they're worth.

You can get a 4th gen for about $60 on eBay. That’s about the bottom price. Any lower than that and it becomes impractical to sell as usable.

@@itzwyesh7112 Not really. I don't think it's compatible with Apple pencil and the processor is just so slow that even drawing with your finger doesn't work too well :(

If u download it on another device that you can download it on and u are logged into the same iCloud as the device you want to download it on as an older version, you can go back to the device u want to download it on and you go to download it and it will say do u want to download the latest compatible version and it will let u

I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

@@pawanmaurya1116 So far, I like it. Screen is crisp and bright, backup to iCloud and pretty much all the native apps still work. Yes, some apps can't be downloaded from Apple App Store anymore because they require iOS 10.x.x or higher but I'd say this is still a steal of a deal if we can get one for much less than $100 (I got it for Cdn$50)!
