I've seen lots of videos where people use a regular house oven! I bet it would be perfect for powder coating!!!!

Well, looks like I found a side gig haha. Didnt realize they had a powder coat system till I saw someone use it on TikTok for wrenches
Did the baking produce fumes?
What is the electrical part of the gun doing? Does it function like a electostatic paint gun? Meaning does the powder wrap around the part that is being painted. Do you need to rotated that part like you would with a standard paint gun?

Yup, you are absolutely correct! The powder is attracted to the part electrostatically. Rotating the gun or the part is still required, but your aim isn't as important, if that makes sense.
Once you sprayed the powder and it cured did it lay smooth or was it textured?

It did smooth out, it gets glossy and smooths out while in the oven.
that powder coat system looks like an old battery charger lol

Exactly what I was thinking.
Powder coating is grossly overrated. Unless done exceptionally well paints are always superior. Best for a production setting with low voc and solvent laws
