    I have been using this watch for the last 8 months and i love it! Perfect "activity tracker" and ofcourse a very good smartwatch. But not the best "smart watch". Just before giving my comments, i want to mention the below features that you missed to mention, 1. It has inbuilt Yoga activities to track the performance. 2. Battery easily lasts for 5-7 days (and not 2-3 days). It is compact. I have seen my colleagues wearing Amazfit, but this is very much fitting on my wrist and I don't have to bother much if I will bang against the wall. It just doesn't track an activity. It is more than a coach/trainer. You get insights from the Garmin app on how you have been improving yourself over the period and on which days you are toning down, etc, etc. GPS is real class. I think GPS is Garmin's expertise and it connects in just a few seconds. I quit gym and i have moved into jogging, aerobics and other workouts that i can do on field, as this motivates me in tracking my performance and monitoring my activities throughout the day (basically i am recovering my expense on Garmin). Only drawback is that the outer color on the frame comes off if you had badly banged on the wall or something. Guys, if you are passionate about sports, fitness and also a smartwatch then this is the brand (if not the model). But, if you are looking for a watch with all specifics from a smartwatch, then Apple watch or other models would be a better choice.

    Thanks for the review of VA4! Can you please tell the circumference of your wrist? I'm trying to decide between 4 and 4s. Right now I'm using VIvosmart HR and concerned with the size. Also how long the battery lasts for you these days?

    I like to wear my watches on my left wrist and so if I was to do press ups, would this watch dig into the back of my hand and would the buttons gets pressed as they are on the right side of the watch. Also I currently have a TomTom spark 3 and the heart rate tracker will generally work fine until I get rather sweaty while running. So how does the VIvioactive 4 stand up to sweat and a hairy wrist on the heart rate tracker?

    Hi Sjoerd. I'm writing to you from Scotland. Great video, thank you.! I was wondering if you could help me. I'm trying to decide for a smartwatch and I have almost decided for the Garmin Vivoactive 4 or Venu. I do a lot of walking, hiking, running and cycling. I'm currently using Strava and I'm putting/changing the title on my workouts depending on what I have been doing. If I'm hiking or walking alone I'll just call it walk or hike. If I'm having the dogs with me I'm calling it walk or hike with the dogs, and if I'm walking and fishing I'll call it fishing. The question is, can you have different profiles, names for different types of hike and walk on the Garmin Vivoactive 4 or Venu so I don't need to go into the Garmin Connect app and rename it? I can't even see that Hiking is mentioned in the activities supported in these two watches? The idea is that I would be able to choose "Walk with the dogs" in my activity list on the watch and just start the activity. In other words, have like tree different kind of walks or hikes I can choose from. Thank you Nikolai

    Nikolai, Thanks for watching the video! There are some ways to do this. Tho, I must say that I switched back to my old beloved Vivosmart 4 since I couldn't really get used to the size, so I can't verify this for you unfortunately. But, there is a way to create multiple profiles on your watch. Such as walk, walk 1, walk 2. Though, I'm not sure if you can actually change the name of that profile. Check out this video for more info: kzread.info/dash/bejne/oaKflcang8WdeJc.html I feel like you actually can rename the activities since to me this feels like a very basic feature. But, you never know... I did ask a friend, he is checking if you can rename activities, so i'll get back to you as soon as I hear from him! Thanks again!

  • @SjoerdWess

    @SjoerdWess

    3 жыл бұрын

    Okay, so he couldn't find a way to rename the activities in the watch itself. Though, he could fill in a lotttt of information about the activity inside the app. So there is a way to keep track of things, it just takes one more step!

    My suggestion to you is (considering you have the same kind of giant IT stores in Scotland), go to a IT store and try one on. Perhaps even buy one and return it if it doesn't live up to your expectations. That's the best and easy way. Spending 100s of hours on the web trying to find that one answer is a waste of time. Trust me, your dogs would like to you to just get one and try it out too ;-). Good luck man!
