Is The Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar Only Good for Grunge??

Музыка

I love Nirvana. My sister introduced me to them when I was little and I've always been amazed with the raw power Kurt Cobain was able to perform with. His singing ability, guitar playing, and lyrical style all just seemed to fit and he, with his amazing band mates, were always able to create such a huge iconic sound.
I picked up the Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar a little bit ago not just because I'm a fan but I've always wanted an off-set guitar. I don't get much of a chance to play grunge music or even turn my distortion up much so I wanted to see how well this guitar would handle some more mellow tones.
Let me know in the comments if you feel like this is as versatile guitar as I do or why you would or wouldn't ever play a signature model guitar.
For this video I'm using:
Fender Kurt Cobain Jaguar
Fender 68 Deluxe Reverb Reissue
Nobels ODR-1
Line 6 M5
Shure 57

If you really want to get the most out of this amazing guitar, install a push/pull coil splitter. I added one to mine as well as installed strap locks and a GraphTech teflon nut. Now it's my main axe and I almost never want to stop playing it

@@nicksandy You won't regret it. With the coil splitter you can cycle between the stock humbucker tone, the classic Jaguar sound, and even a sound akin to the Jagstang. And with the teflon nut you never have to worry about keeping it lubricated

@@nicksandy There is that as well. I have one on my Parker Fly, and it pairs perfectly with the Sperzel locking tuners that came with it. So far it's holding up great with the Gotohs on the Jaguar. But in the event you decide to get the coil splitters installed, the best way to have it done is to have it wired so each volume knob controls the pickups individually. I've had guitars in the past that came with coil splitting, but they were set up to where the tone control knob was what you had to use to activate it, and I found it limiting as compared to being able to tap each pickup individually for more tonal options/control. But yeah, something to think about. Enjoy the Jag man 🤟🎸

Well yeah, obviously it's an absurdly versatile guitar. It's STILL a Fender Jaguar with 2 different circuits with a Bass cut option, that, in it of itself is one of the most versatile and unique sounding Guitars in production. only difference is the Pickups, which are Powerful Dimarzio's, a PAF and a Super Distortion, elevate the quality of the sound...just in that context with pickups that heavy, it can excel in most arena's like All of Alternative Rock, All of Metal, which is already impressive, but the options to manipulate the tone by virtue of it's 2 circuits and bass cut means it can hang almost ANYWHERE lol
