JB.....let me tell you a true story. A elderly woman passed away. Her family needed help cleaning out her garage and storage shed. I found SEVEN HIGH DOLLAR GRASS TRIMMERS during the clean out. (I took all seven to the pawn shop and gave the family the money...difficult story.) I asked the family WHY did she have all these HIGH DOLLAR GRASS TRIMMERS? Her niece told me the "handyman/gardener" told her the line ran out and she needed to buy a new one.😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡...I am still P.O'd that this A-HOLE took advantage of this poor woman and used these lawn trimmers in his lawn care business. I tracked this AH down and confronted him with what he did and he showed NO REMORSE! We need to be more watchful as Americans for our elderly. Easy targets in the wolf pack that America has become. GOD HELP US AS A NATION!

Just bought an ego self propelled mower. And honestly it feels like a plastic toy. Lol but I must say it's a beast! I was highly impressed. My neighbors I'm sure think I'm crazy lol. But it's light weight, quiet and basically maintenance free. And I'm definitely going to purchasing a blower very soon. If you don't have an EGO I highly recommend yall get one!

Happy with my Ego 580 cfm blower and Ego grass trimmer. Use the same battery and although heavier than my Stihl blower and trimmer much easier on the ears for myself and neighbours. Use battery or gas units according to size of job and application. Works great for clearing deck and gutters of leaves as well as clearing snow off car and deck in winter. I use low setting to get charcoal going quicker on my Kamado grill.

Hey Inharmony! I don’t like it when companies fudge the numbers either to make something look better than what it normally is. I agree on the red flag! Appreciate the positive feedback my friend! Thanks for being a cool fan!
I got kinda burned with the one battery equipped tool I have. Several years ago I bought a 58v Poulan Pro push mower...now, it works fine and the battery reminds me a lot of that Ego's and even sounds the same on the charger. What burned me is, while the 58 volt battery works fine and is a 5.2ah battery, Husqvarna apparently stopped making different piece of equipment to use it with. I've tried looking for string trimmers, leaf blowers, etc. that use that battery and every site I've been to say they no longer carry it....and that's when I started buying gas powered Stihl equipment, LOL! Just last week I mowed the front lawn with it while I waited for Amazon to send me a new Nikki carburetor for my riding mower (Yeah, I could have rebuilt the old carb, but new carbs are fairly inexpensive so I got lazy, lol) It had plenty of battery power to mow the whole front yard and most of one side yard before it needed recharging so naturally I'd like to try it out on a blower or trimmer, they just can't be found...not even used, lol.

Good tips here JS! Thanks for sharing! I’m interested in trying it out come winter time! I decided on the 615 because of its price point appealing to more buyers at $200. The 765 was $330. Bit pricey for most people. You own the 765?
@js12278
Жыл бұрын
@@GarageGear I do not own the 765. I lost two ash trees so my leaf blower work has been left solely to grass clippings and blowing off the pool cover. I’ll likely get the 650. I’m finding that with the cordless tool kits (tool+ battery +charger) you’ll be better off shopping the battery size and your future plan of bare tool (no battery or charger) My thinking is if you were wanting a string trimmer you’d have to purchase another kit so that you also received a larger battery because your 2.5 won’t carry you through string trimming AND blowing on a single charge. I bought the mower first, 7.5ah battery with rapid charger. I can do my lawn and trim with a single charge and have the 4ah (from trimmer purchase) as backup. That’s just my plan because I will likely end up with no gas outdoor power equipment because of the convenience. Leaf blower, chainsaw and 2 stage snowblower are on the list for sure.

I enjoy your reviews, I watch them as often as I can. But I'll be honest, there is no way in hell I'm going battery. I've used some gardening equipment that is battery operated and they just don't have the power that gas equipment does. Until you show me a lawn mower that can tackle St. Augustine grass I might take a look, otherwise battery just can't do what a gas powered mower can.

@@GarageGear I have the exact same model which arrived with a 4Ah battery. Evidently there is a 2.5Ah battery that may be supplied with lower versions of the blower. I also have two 7.5Ah and one 10Ah battery, all interchangeable with the mower, weed eater, blower, power station, etc... that EGO sells. Experience: EGO sells a slow charger (which was supplied with your blower) and a fast charger (which is supplied with their flagship mower). The power station, though, charges all batteries on slow charge alternating between batteries partial fill (so each battery does not overheat during refill). If you have a whole house power outage and need power over a few days, a gas powered generator will give you what you are looking for, otherwise, the battery equipped EGO power station works for multiple hours or a couple days depending on what's plugged in.

I am all for a different way of getting away from Fossil Fuels but there has to be more Studies done on the environmental impact these batteries are going and are already creating. Just digging the chemicals out of the ground has had a huge impact on the environment than the disposal of them is probably going to be like the tires. Already watching KZread Magnet Fishing shows where both batteries and tires end up plus a lot of other things. So investigate how the batteries are produced and their impact and the disposal impact will either destroy our planet or better it.
