Is The DC5 Honda INTEGRA Type R Worth Buying in 2022? **HONEST REVIEW**

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Is the Honda Integra DC5 Type R worth the JDM TAX!?
We are true Honda fans here at Accelerate. We are aiming to drive every generation of Type R possible to experience the evolution of one of our favourite brands.
Welcome to Elliot's Honda Integra Type R! We always like to find great examples of cats to feature, and that is exactly what we have here!
The DC5 had some very big shoes to fill, being the successor to the amazing DC2 Integra. Despite the many evolutions such as the K20 engine over the B18c found in the DC2, we were very keen to find out if the DC5 is worth the crazy price increase that appears to be hitting most 90s/early 00s Japanese cars.

I bought a very very low mileage 2002 dc5 (26k miles/42k Kms) a few weeks ago, I paid a lot of money, but it was fully worth it, and I love it. Very very fun. Unlike anything available now days. Huge grip, great chassis, the k20a is a great engine matched to a fantastic gearbox, not that quick to be fair, but such a fun car. You can't really compare it to an Evo, purely because they're a different animal completely, one 4wd and turbo, the other screams to 8500 and is fwd. Both are amazing vehicles in their own right. But the dc5 will never break down and always put a huge smile on you're face.

I'm in California driving a RSX-S with a frank'd engine and love the platform. The DC5 is a fantastic car. People say they're not fast, but lets be honest low 14's or every high 13's in a four cylinder is not slow by any stretch and easily obtainable for anyone who wants to mod their car. My next mod is a LSD from a Civic SI. Great and fun video guys. Thanks for the upload.

I have a 2001 DC5R, I got a 2-4 videos on my channel. It has definitely crossed my mind quite a few times about selling it, but then again I know for a fact ill regret it in the near future. It's a great car and fun, specially on the mountain twisties. I agree the "car" is not worth that much, but the nostalgia, badge, and experience driving makes it debatable.

Just got a fully replica one a month ago for $15k. A little beat but it’s in the performance shop now and then paint after. Interior is pretty mint. I’ll probably be paying 20-25k after everything and shop cost but damn it was worth every penny. If I ever want to sell it, it won’t be a problem for a mint one. People are paying big bucks on BaT.

Where can I get one of those sweatshirts?! My current car is the 2006 Acura RSX Type S, which is the last year Honda/Acura made this beauty. Bought it new, and have babied it for 17 years now, and just turned 120,700+ miles! This replaced my 1996 Acura Integra GSR that had been stolen from my office parking lot. The GSR had replaced my first Honda product, the 86 Honda Accord Lxi Hatchback! My Type S is stock; wanted to keep it that way for 'future' but I have no plans to sell it.
