Nope! I eventually bought a DSLR so I no longer needed that camera

Thanks for sharing this! I’m going on to Colombia and want to take some landscape pictures. Will this camera take ok depth of range pics? Also what wide lense do you use?

Yeah you’ll have to set the Aperture down to about F/11 or so to get a good Depth of Field, also there is an Attachment you can buy for a Wide Angle Lens Attachment I ordered mine off of Amazon

Unfortunately I no longer own this camera 🥲 but it’s very easy to use as is very similar to most DSLR cameras ( without the interchangeable lenses )

It will be in the menu under the photo tab, if you have the instruction manual it should tell you exactly under which menu tab specifically it is! Unfortunately I no longer have this camera😭

Thanks for video 👍. I'm using canon sx510 hs. For astrophotography I want to use long exposure shot but after fixing iso to 800 when I try to increase shutter speed more than 2" my iso is automatically going to 80 which does not support astrophotography plz can u solve this

The only way you can work around this is by using the “Canon Hack Development Kit “ CHDK which is a firmware you’ll have to use to override the camera. I used to use the the longest shutter speed possible and than lift the exposure in post

How do you get the moon night shots I am having trouble with setting up

Erin Grogan it will have to be on a tripod, after that you’d want to zoom in and fill the frame with the moon... I think ISO 200 and a Shutter Speed of 1/200 should be plenty if you’re shooting it on Auto you may want to switch it to Manual for that

Depending on how bright the moon is you can generally shoot a Full moon at ISO200 no problem you’ll want to keep a Quick Shutter speed 1/125 or faster, anything slower and the moon will just get blurry

Picked one up at the pawn shop today... Have been trying to find something to replace my Sony HX300V (50x zoom) due to the ongoing lens error it gets (E62:20) where the stabilizers go out after a year or 2, over and over.... just had the mode dial replaced out of pocket and then got the error on 1/1/21. (Pays to have the extended warranties when buying a new one). But got the Sony to do moon shots so was glad see your still shot of the moon.... so high hopes it will do as good as the Sony I can still get Moon shots with the Sony on a tripod and if very little wind..... so hoping this makes for a good carry around camera, I wish it had the eye piece though...

Yeah it’s a pure digital camera unfortunately no eyepiece but for the price it does take some good photos. You could see if your Sony has a firmware update for it? It may help if there is one.

@@JordanHandwerker On the Sony HX300V and the HX400V it is an ongoing problem, the harness cables get a break in them that go to the lens stabilizers and on zoomed shots it has a lot of wobble. So since 2013 my Sony had been in the shop 4 or 5 times, glad I had the Mack extended warranty. But they just replace it with the same parts that give out.......... I also have DSLR's but the bridge super zoom cameras make for a good carry around camera, I had mainly got to shoot the moon, planes / plane trails... I had recently bought a Sony H300 with a 35x zoom, different lens but looked new and was fairly cheap in price, the SX530 HS I got today also looked to be in mint shape..

Yeah the sx530hs is a great camera I wish I still had mine to compare to DSLR’s and Mirrorless cameras and see if they’re any better or worse. I liked it and the image quality was great for pictures I may look into another used one just for shits and giggles

@@JordanHandwerker I was hoping to try my SX530HS on the moon early this morning but cloudy, watched several videos last night trying to learn a bit more... But look forward to trying it out..... at the pawn shop I buy from you can also for around 10% of price you can get a 6 month warranty if it fails or if you decide to trade up to something else (but not if you break it)

I will say that Aperture will help shooting moon shots. Set it around f/6 - f/9 if possible. Iso 100 and like 1/500 shutter

If you go onto Amazon just type in Canon SX530HS accessories, it will populate a bunch of thing but you want to buy the Vivitar filter adapter, it comes with some filters and other things it’s about $45 or so

Unfortunately there isn’t anyway to attach a microphone into this camera, you’d have to have a good knowledge of adding in and soldering a microphone jack into the internal microphone so you could add an adapter

@@sharaleelewis unfortunately I’d say no but depending on how far away from the camera you are. The Zoom H1N is what I use to record audio with and is reasonably priced enough it won’t break the bank

Good review. BUT your background music throughout the video kind of bothers bro.

Bhavesh Punjabi Vlogs yeah you could, you may want to buy a Mini HDMI to HDMI adapter for hooking it up to a monitor or computer screen/TV but I didn’t have a problem using it!
