I have been rebounding on the bellicon and performing resistance training on a regular basis this past month and I am feeling great. I’ve been really listening to my body and taking breaks when I feel like I’ve overdone it. Even if I’m on an off day of resistance training I still get on the bellicon. It just gives great circulation and I feel alive.
The first couple of days owning the bellicon I knew I wanted to ease into it. I would only bounce on it in the morning and throughout the day, never at night. I didn’t want to get overly energized and compromise my sleep. I would bounce for just a few minutes here and there. As the days went on I could go for much longer durations, up to about 8 minutes. I told myself to stop when I felt slightly tired, as I wanted to be as safe as possible. It’s so easy to over exert yourself so I was extra cautious.
I chose the folding legs option, as my bedroom is also where I lift with my barbell and free weights. So, I will fold up the legs and set it against the wall during my resistance training sessions. I love that I have this option. I do not use the t-bar or the support handle as my balance is pretty good.
There are so many health benefits to rebounding such as, lymphatic drainage, arthritis, back pain, lipedema, osteoporosis and pelvic floor.
Arthritis is the most common joint disease in the world. Hip and knee arthritis is extremely common. I have had MRI’s that show I have osteoarthritis in my sacroiliac joint, or the SI joint. It’s where your lower spine meets the pelvis. It can be very uncomfortable to do just about anything when I have a flare up. I find that traditional strength training and rebounding on my bellicon have put this pain into remission.

My 4 and a half year old daughter also loves the bellicon. I have the Strong bungees on it so she has a good amount of resistance to bounce on. She does great with it. Sometimes she wears the grippy socks and sometimes just bare foot. She lays on it and does silly yoga poses on it too. It also acts like an imaginative stage in her eyes, especially being in front of the mirrors. We have a great time with this rebounder. I can feel my body getting tighter. I feel great.
