Canadian govt. should relook at the immigration policy, it should not happen that due to mindless immigration all civic infrastructure becomes clogged and housing prices go to the roof. Govt. should consult urban planners, sociologists, and the general public while deciding the quantum of immigration. It should be based on the sole criterion that immigration would not make life difficult for Canadian citizens. otherwise, the whole of southern Ontario will become a big slum.

They did consult business leaders, and economic professors. The economic professor disagreed with the high number, saying it would overwhelm us. but the business leaders (those trying to suppress wages) were 100% in favor of tripling immigration and TFWs. And of course the liberals sided with big business over working class canadians

High rents due to high mortgages on expensive houses set by builders of new homes. New 2 story house 1.3 to 1.4 million dollars. Nothing to do with buyers. That is the price builders charge and can charge. Buyers have no say in it.

Firstly international students should be housed on campuses. Renting in basement as in Brampton you can see the garbage on the streets. Jobs are taken up by international students leaving Canadian citizens unemployed

Foriegn student visas should be limited to 5% from an individual country. If 400,000 foreign students total come into Canada in one year there should be a maximum of 20,000 from any single country. Let's have more diversity in foriegn students.

Good! Artificially inflated real estate market. Once the basement remain empty, cashflow drys up, and there goes your investment property.

Canada not needed students. This year IT jobs will impact heavily and unemployment rate would be double. Instead of international student , government should focus on how industries can be grown

Those international students are lured , thinking when they finished their degrees, they will find a job and get their pr, the idea of living here soon will become a big mistake everything's expensive, here and you'll never recover the money you spend here. there's better university in Europe.

Isn't this initiative counter intuitive to the government's plan to increase the number of immigrants? Perhaps a reduction on intl students means an increase on express entry intake for permanent residents..

Chinese students don’t come here because of the restrictions back home. Middle eastern countries have issues pertaining to religion and lack of democracy. Africa and Latin America similar issues of lack of English language education and financial issues. What are you left with ? India is English speaking, bigger economy, western ally and a democracy. So students can afford to come to Canada. Don’t be racist because of your jealousy. Just a decade ago the Chinese were the highest number of students , before them were the Japanese in the US. Think logically and don’t become a racist. 😊

"Africa because of lack of english language education" "India is english speaking" IELTS is waived for African students because they are considered native speakers. Honey, you barely speak english in India. That's why IELTS is required of Indian students. You're so quick to put yourself above others when immigration policy says different. Masters and PhD programs are filled with African and Chinese students for a reason. They have the language skills for that level of education. You should check what level of education most Indian international students apply for in Canada. Hint: Its not post-graduate
