How can you compare this to an X5M or a Porsche Cayenne GTS he trippin’ it’s basically a hybrid competes with Cadillac xt4 or xt5 Acura and maybe x3 and Lexus rx350 the xc60 is no near the German BMW X5M competition you comparing bears with hyenas

The color and the time you guys recorded this video shows all the lines well. Styling wise Volvo knows how to make a car look stellar

Just bought this for my wife. I have the XC90. It's so sick. And Joe you keep saying is the XC90 it's ok tho. We live in the gorge of the Pacific northwest so we gets lots of rain and snow. We can go off-road with it.

I have had this car for the last 3 months and it is fantastic. Its price may sound steep, but with corresponding equipment, its German competitors are much more expensive and in some areas they are even lagging behind. the car in question can transform from an eco-friendly electric family car to a roaring beast in a split second!!! Give it a try…

I will say, as a BMW driver, that Volvo's B&W systems kill the Bavarian offerings. They're sublime. Still rather have my BMW though.

3:06 is such a subtle detail, I hardly would have noticed , let alone cared about it if you hadn't pointed it out. I still don't care, to be honest with you , the XC60 is such a sharp and stylish vehicle, it's hard to believe that Volvos were once aerodynamic bricks.

In the standard US cars, we associate cloth with poor quality. The wool blend seats in the higher end volvos are outstanding and are far more comfortable than what you find in a lot of leather seating options.

You can get ventilated seats in it, but your tester had the vegan option cloth seats, which aren't available with ventilation. You can get leather with ventilation if you want.

@@RaitisRides Agreed 100%. I have no idea why they don't offer it with the granola crunchy vegan seats. Swedish vegans must like to sweat. Most of the Ultimate trim equipped XC60s and XC90s I've browsed seem to have it. But they aren't available on the S60 in any trim level, even Ultimate with the exact same seats as the SUVs. Just dumb on Volvo's part.

@@RaitisRidesI’ve driven 2 XC60 Recharge examples, one 2023 in the Ultimate trim, one 2024 in the Plus trim, both with std. leather that was ventilated (as well as heated with 3 levels). Neither one had air suspension or the Bowers & Wilkins sound.

I love the Volvo XC60 Recharge I think this Apostle to the Luxury Cars & you know you're doing well in life when you're driving an all wheel drive SUV.

The wool material is an option. No need to zonk it. It would come with ventilated seats on the leather trim.

Volvo Seats are my favorite.

The driving dynamics is so much better than the Lexus RX500h as I test drive both of them. If Volvo has the same reliability or even close to Lexus, I would have considered this.

Those wheels are amazing. That color really pops. No ventilated seats is crazy. Dual exhausts would've been a nice touch and I agree whats up with the cloth seats.

It's a beautiful ride. You said classy and you're spot on. Price is right, if you must have ridiculous power. I would be proud to drive this car. It offers a bit of exclusivity, because Volvos are a rarer breed.

Depends on what neighborhood you're in. In certain parts of North New Jersey where I am, they're quite common to see. Only the sedans are rare and more rare and special are the wagons.

Absolutely love these. My only issue is I wish the sound system had more Bass / bottom end. Other than that totally sublime vehicle.

That hump in the back is not a drive shaft tunnel. It’s where the battery pack is. Electric motor powers rear wheels. Gas engine powers front wheels only. No conventional drive shaft. Also, “hey Google” controls a lot of car functions including climate control.

XC60 is compatible with BMW X3, Benz GLC, Audi Q5, and Porsche Macan.

Love how easy the XC60 turns. Curious if the engine feels like its stalling at stop lights. Honda CRVs are the best example of this feeling.

I saw a XC60 while I was out and about today. It looks very nice and classy. I'm not sure about an all touch screen dash. I need more buttons lol.

I love my 2024 Volvo XC 60 Ultimate Dark B5. Here are the differences that I’ve noticed. First off I have the most amazing NAPA leather with ventilated and massaging seats. Another difference between the B5 and the T8 is that the B5 ultimate has 4 zone climate control. That means that the rear passengers each get their own climate adjustments. It’s a touchscreen in the middle console where the T8 has the “Twinkie holder”. Even though the B5 is the base engine the ultimate dark package is really what I wanted and all of the extra features that come in the mild hybrid versus the plug-in hybrid .

This is a very nice car,but definitely i'll wait to get it preowned certified with few miles in a year with $10k-$15k less.

The XC60 is great looking and comes with legit power under the recharge banner. The rat fur cloth has got to go perhaps some synthetic suede would do. The 22 inch wheels with the black body trim really make it come alive. Volvo has the best seat architecture in the business and they do it without some 30 way application. Love how the touchscreen is integrated into the dashboard.

The title says XC60 not 90 8.40, Zonk for door panels reminds me of that hessian wallpaper from the 70's I think? Seats will mark like crazy! Major zonk, manually adjusting steering wheel at 73g Zonk! That's a sweet ride.

Was considering leasing this over my previous leased ‘21 X3 E-drive. I decided to buy the X3 E-drive literally yesterday. The PHEV demand is crazy high right now.

Zonks for lack of ventilated seats and repeatedly calling it the XC90. A few years back, 2022, I crossed shopped this with the X3M and Macan Turbo (2021) and landed on the Macan. Amazing performance, upgraded brakes, amazingly comfortable 18 way adaptive sport seats,ventilated seats and an amazing lighting system. Thrilled with the Macan and it's given 22,xxx trouble-free miles so far. The Macan gets zonked for no heads-up display or kick to open hatch.

Exterior is great interior is great. Seems like a great powertrain too. Ventilated seats is needed at that price. Don’t know if I could live with a lot being on the screen. I like knobs and buttons

You didn’t show the 360 camera??! It’s so convenient you can literally park anywhere in any spot using it and it does use the whole screen…

In my opinion, it's not too bad but back to the drawing board on this one. A complete new redesign is needed to keep up with the competition.

The wool blend seats don't offer ventilated seats. The nappa leather in the Ultimate package does offer ventilated seats.

Sir overall you did a great job 👌 but one main Point you missed which is no matter if one got Core, T6 or T8 ultimate its all about how much one wants to put or ready to open wallet but simply all volvo.s are highest power limit is only 180 kmh no matter what engine one buy 😁 Have a nice one though

I really really like this car, but man the head room seems low to me. Family member has one and I come close to hitting my head every time I get in

I believe the Apple Carplay is not wireless. Zonk for me on a vehicle at this price point. I also understand that one has to pay for a subscription for the default maps. I love Volvo cars. Purchased a new S80 in 2004 and still have it working great. Would love to upgrade but the two points above turn me away.

I’m trying to figure out how this compares to the X5 50e. You haven’t mentioned the X5 in the video in spite of the title. I had an XC90 and would like to like this, but it’s just 10k less than a very well equipped X5 50e, and except for the stereo, it seems to be inferior in all respects.

This car is beautiful but $76k is insane, especially with Genesis being so good and much less.

Also the seats are not your average cloth it’s wool and it’s supposed to be green. But I have this but b5 and it’s leather interior. I love my xc60 !!

It’s amazing how people complain about the prices but don’t factor in the parts/engineering that are used on new cars, however, they only notice the type of engine that is being used 😂… cars are expensive because of new tech etc. We are not living in the 90s anymore.

I'm debating this vehicle vs the Genesis GV70 3.5 Sport.

Joe both of them are super nice and fancy looking but I'd have to say the XC60 might have this one over the X5 and I'm a BMW guy.

Have the B&W in my 2023 S60 and it always conks out after playing at loud volume after an extended period of time… it’s infuriating

This must only be the ‘Plus’ trim level, the ‘Ultimate’ trim offers the Napa leather with heated and cooled seats.

Compelling option!

Gimme the Mazda CX90 phev for less money and more space. CX70 2 row as an even better comparison and more space and less money.

@aeromotive2 yep and when I was in the market recently, it was a deal breaker. Yes the safety is great, but at the end of the day, it's so far behind the competition that it felt like I'd get the best bang for my buck elsewhere. I'll come back to Volvo when they update this line.

The only thing about Volvos I don’t like, is the sound of their current engines!

The brakes do work great, until you need to replace them at 12k miles.

you can get this vehicle with this engine for $10 less...$66k. But the trim highlighted here is the top trim

BMW X5 is in different class, XC60 is a competitor to BMW X3. What's the fuel consumption when the battery is discharged? What's the performance when the battery is discharged? How much the engine renovation will cost after few months? I've heard that these T8 powertrains are fauly and very unreliable.
