Is the 2020 Mazda CX-5 the SUV to BUY over a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CR-V?

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

The Mazda CX-5 bring a lot to the table for a compact SUV. Under the hood is a 2.5L inline-4 that produces 186 HP & is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission. It's exterior has very flowing lines and still looks fresh. On the inside you will be greeted to an upscale interior without the upscale price. Is the 2020 Mazda CX-5 the perfect compact SUV?

I just bought a 2020 CX-5 Touring "Preferred" which throws in the 10 speaker Bose, the electric liftgate and the moon roof. I was initially going to get a Honda CRV for its practicality and extra room, but after getting in this car and test driving it I immediately feel in love with it. The interior is gorgeous with incredibly comfortable seats. The Bose sound system is fantastic. And it's super fun to drive. This CX-5 will put a smile on your face, guaranteed.

I totally agree it. I just bought 2021 CX-5 carbon edition turbo. First time, I wasn't familiar interior, simple, touchless screen, many analog systems but after a few days, while driving, make me smile with turbo engine, impressive bose sounds. I am getting like it. Simple but gorgeous 😍

I have 2019 Rav4 exl PREMIUM..lots of room vs CX5 which I test drives it today... yes it feels good being in it... like I'm in a lux car..now that being said ..RAV4 I feel like im going to a baja race.. it's just I feel like in a offroad travel. Still love it..but CX5 got my attention..one you've mentioned "preferred" is one I drove today! May I asked for the sale price on this?

2019 CX5 Signature - the turbo is nice to have as well as the 360 degree camera. Interior is high end with leather seats and woodn inlay. Ventilated seats are awesome in Houston. Regarding the iPad infotainment system integration: I actually prefer this. I believe it makes it easier for them to repair / replace if needed later on. Someone I know went through a hell of a time with her Hyundai infotainment system being in the dash. It had to be replaced due to a malfunction, and the dealership marked up her dash replacing it due to the way it was more permanently integrated. Also, with this type of integration, it’s a little higher toward eye level, but still not too high as you said. Thanks for the review! This is also my favorite SUV - such a sexy design too, especially the soul red.

We have a 2018 CX-5 with the cylinder deactivation to save fuel. There was a recall for a software update, because some had the valvetrain get mislocated and stuck, so the engine stalled and would not restart. Hopefully they have this solved now. The CR-V and RAV-4 have more room inside and the new Escape is faster. We bought a 2013, 2015 and 2018 CX-5 for how they steer, look and the price, also they have good ratings for crash testing, and by Consumer Reports and Car & Driver surveys and tests for people that drive a lot more and in more vehicles than me. We found they look better if you add Turtle Wax Trim Restorer to the outer plastic because it fades to an uglier dull gray color. They are comfortable for long trips, however someone taller than 5 feet 11 inches might not have enough driver seat adjustment.

After seeing this I’m even happier I made the decision of getting the 2020 Sport GT model over any other lmao you get a whole lot of bank for your buck considering everything is included as well as an extra 100 hp and 17 pounds of boost, with the beautiful spool and rumble sounds of a car with power. Also, gas consumption is manageable and practical, it consumes less gas than my previous CX-7 so long as I’m not hitting boost every two seconds.

Love everything about the CX5 except for a couple of things. Not a fan of the rotary knob infotainment system (when in drive the touchscreen is disabled). I wish they would've put the rear USB ports underneath the rear A/C vents for easier access. If you have 3 passengers in the back and need to use the ports, you just can't.

On a journey for my twin sister to help her move on from her 2016 Forester...wants something bigger and more smooth and comfortable for long drives. She's in western CO so she sees plenty of the white stuff in the winter.
