Is Temu Yarn Worth It?? | The Only Temu Yarn Haul You Need To See

Hi everyone! Welcome to this week’s video where I will be going over a TON of yarn I ordered from Temu.
If you don’t know already, Temu is an online site where you can order a wide variety of items at extremely low prices directly from Chinese factories and warehouses. Temu has been quite the buzz lately, on whether it is trustworthy or worth your time, so I decided to take that plunge and test out Temu’s yarn selection, so you didn’t have to!
I did spend my own money on this order. I was not affiliated in any way, nor was it endorsed or sponsored. I did my absolute best to provide you guys with a clear cut, and honest review.
That being said, I do now have a coupon code you guys are more than welcome to use should you decide you want to buy your own yarn from Temu!
You can get a $100 coupon bundle, and 50% off discount using this code: afi98972
And you can download the app here: temu.to/k/usQ1HLTh0m17fnD
I would also like to point out some of the screen shots of the yarn will say a different price than the one I paid for it, which will be written below the screen shot. This is because I took the screenshots a day after I placed my order, and Temu is constantly running sales which changes the price of the items often. The price I say that I bought it at in the video, is the price I purchased it at.

For those curious about the yarn label at 1:32 / 21:56, I used Google Translate for the Chinese. Despite the label being upside down, I manage to roughly translate it to "Hand wash, do not bleach with chlorine, spread dry, do not iron, use natural detergent, dry in the shade." (手洗不可氯漂 平摊干燥 不可熨燙中性洗剂 阴干). I've also managed to translate the Korean on the yarn label at 12:31 / 21:56. It roughly translates to 'Milk silk 20%' (우유 실크: 20%) and 'Skin-friendly nylon 50%' (친 피부 나일론: 50%). Just wanted to share the info I found! 👍 P.S. Loved your yarn review! Keep up the good work. 😊

I had a coworker who kept telling me I needed to get a yarn winder. I said I didn't need one... finally got one about 4 years ago and I LOVE it... if you want to work a yarn double, it is so much easier to pull from center + outside on a cake!

Yessss that's my favorite part about it is pulling from the center😂 I get so frustrated if I cant find the center pull in a regular skein because it takes me FOREVER to work a project if I gotta keep unwinding it from the outside hahaha

I bought that exact yarn winder from Temu and it came with all the needles and stitch markers and only paid 4$. It also started to squeak so loud after a month that I had to throw it out. I now have a 10.5oz Stanwood Needlecraft Winder and it was the best decision I ever made! It is expensive but so worth it!

;the "mohair" is not real mohair - its just fluffy acrylic. The velvet one I can bet money is not color-fast. I would be very cautious with the darker colors that you at least pre-wash or pre-soak them to make them colorfast before you make anything with them so you don't ruin anything else in your wash. I actually love team's variegated sock yarn - I got 10 full skeins for 19 cents total! Put stuff in your shopping cart, then leave for a day or two. The AI will lure you back to shop by letting you "spin" to get 90% off and you can get 10 skeins at a time for 19 cents each :)

most of that you ordered is not cotton. looks like 100% acrylic. you can tell because of the sheen on it. when the skein says "imitation cotton" or "Synthetic wool" or something similar, its not cotton or wool; its simply acrylic.

good mohair can be between $8-20 per skein near me and usually comes in 25 or 50 g, but to check the yardage is important because mohair is naturally lightweight so 25/50g will be more yarn than you might think!

I don't know if you've already opened the pink giant yarn yet, but I bought the same one and thought the same thing. But when I "opened" it, it turned out to be a twisted skein that they had tied together with sting; one tug, and it came loose, leaving a thread-free yarn :) I think mine had ties like that at four places.

I've bought from Temu a lot of times now and have really enjoyed what I got and haven't had to return anything. I think I've ordered a few velvet yarns to try them out but I will be buying a few more after seeing your haul. I like the yarn winder and might try it if I can get a bargain because here in Australia the nicer thread winders are nearly $100 which is insane because I do not need to pay to much money on something my hands can happily do although the cakes do look nice when they are full

Hobby lobby has it 30% off every other week so I’ve never paid over $3.50 to $4.50 depending on the weight. So I feel like I definitely get a great deal. I'm sorry to hear that people did that to you for shopping there! I understand there is a ton of controversy surrounding the platform, but no one should be treated that way regardless. Everyone should be allowed to make their own choice about using the platform, and that's all I tried to do with this video is provide my honest experience with it so they can decide what they'd like to do!

The angora yarn is really pretty! I like the DK acrylicline brand too. They are improving and have really pretty stuff now but DO look at the fiber content closely. All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus, our Lord

Temu mohair yarn is not real mohair. I don't know how they get away with calling it Mohair. Real mohair is very expensive. I was so disappointed when I received this yarn from Temu, but I should have known since it was so inexpensive.

Yeah I learned this later too. They definitely should put that it’s imitation instead of real!

Totally unrelated but that reminds me on when yarn has on it pure wool but then it’s actually 100% acrylic yarn in the description.

I’ve already purchased yarn from Temu like 5 times. I’d say it really depends on what listings you are looking for. I look for milk cotton mostly. The listings I found and bought from were all dubs. I love all the yarn I bought from the site. I literally have been buying all colors of yarn in the listings I look at. I don’t mind if there is no information on the yarn either. To each their own.

It really really has to do with what sellers you buy from. Look out for the reviews, the descriptions, the weight, size, etc. if you just buy the first thing you see, yeah you’re gonna end up with trash quality. Not all temu items are created equal.
