As a fellow Wordpress inept video creator, this was a video I was hoping someone would make! Sounds like the fact that SS helps you actually make the thing could be the most important benefit.

I think it's because of the limited number of templates (which all look decent) and the fact that there were next to no bugs to work out. Hope you get your site finished soon if you haven't already!

LOL “I’m crappy” Dude I feel you on the Wordpress thing! I still use both Squarespace and Wordpress for different sites I manage though - each has its own advantages. My two cents for someone who is looking to start one or two sites for themselves, Squarespace would be my to go-to! Their integrations with other really popular apps and software also makes it super easy to scale if you ever need more features like scheduling or member spaces!

😂 Ooo integration is a really good point. I think my new goal is to become less crappy at Wordpress lol and then maybe attempt Webflow (?) one day Btw what kind of sites do you think are better suited to Wordpress?

@@boywithacamera Speaking as someone with very limited knowledge on web development and design LOL, I’ve found that Squarespace has made design easier by giving you less, but well made options, while on WP, it’s easier to get into the details and get custom. For example, Squarespace sections can be small, medium, and large, while in Wordpress I can pick a specific numerical value in the builder’s user interface! Wordpress kills it when it comes to blogs and media sites. You can have a lot of contributors on your site and I’ve found content management to be a little easier on Wordpress. Squarespace’s content management always felt a little buggy in my use!

@@boywithacamera with that said, I think it’s nice that squarespace has great templates and it’s easy to get setup, so if you’re looking for a simple website to showcase your portfolio or write a blog as a solo contributor, speed to market is key here! As creatives, we want tools to work for us, not the other way around!

Having a website is key. I like squarespace for ease of use but I find it a bit over priced. I use WordPress and spend less than $10 a month. WordPress can be a pain though. Great video.

WordPress + elementor is what I'm using! I use WordPress for flexibility, cost and SEO. Great video man on SS I was curious how ss and other CMS have grown over the years!!
