I'm with Solar on this one As long as the dog is getting rewarded and is getting trained in a positive way, one hour is not long. The buttons can be a mental training activity for dogs. Its also just another type of trick like sit or paw

💖 💖 💖 💖 I think this is a good idea. Takes the guessing out of it, and it also teaches you which of their behavior corresponds with their needs faster. I think the buttons will help convey their wants better; since it'll be when they want it and not having to wait for us to guess when it's a good time. This is good for people that want to communicate more with their pets; others just want a strict schedule.

The correct way is to start with something your dog needs, if you want to comunicate you have to modelate not train like solar did i hope she does more research cuz her dog seems interested in the buttons

the buttons thing is a bit mechanical. if a dog wants to be fed or wants to go for a walk you should instinctively tell by the dog's mannerisms whether they want to. that's the whole part of building a bond with your pet.

dogs are colorblind i don’t think he’ll be able to differentiate between colors at first.
