No restrictions if you don’t do sightseeing in Ladakh. For traveling on Srinagar Leh and Manali Leh there is no restriction and you can use outside rented vehicles

No, self drive rental cars are not available up there in Ladakh

We are now in padum which route is suitable via pengzila or singella pass to kargil. Please bhaiya❤

You can rent the bike in Leh and do the above trip. No restrictions on the main routes or highways. Only local sightseeing is where the problem lies and with Leh local rental bike you can do all sightseeing.

Hi, can i reach Leh by Air, take a commercial vehicle from leh for swlf drive (without the driver) , go aorund site seeing and then return the taxi back at Leh before flying back. In such a case i am using lovsl Leh car and paying them for the same, but not using yhe services of the local driver?

Wish it could be possible.. there are no self drive rental cars available in Leh for Ladakh sightseeing only taxi with drivers.

I am planning to explorplanning leh ladakh with bolero pickup (4 X 4 goods carriage) which is registered on my name. Is it allowed ? Or going for renting ? Bcoz goods carriage not comes under taxi category.

As long as it is on your name and personal number not commercial number, then it is OK to take it else need local rental.

@patelatit3805 if commercial number then it might be stopped by union folks..if stopped try to resolve amicably and make them understand the situation that it is your car only and being used for personal trip.. sane folks will understand otherwise rent from Leh then

Yes but jaisa bataya video mein ki aap Leh tak ja sakte ho un outside rental cars mein bas and fer ladakh sightseeing k liye local taxi chahiyegi

bhai Car rental ka business karoge to permitand all lena hi padega aapko aur locals k union rules bhi honge to unke saath aapko baat karni hogi jitna mujhe lagta hai

Same rule applies to bikes too. You cannout use outside rental bikes for sightseeing in Ladakh. Only to enter Leh and then rent Leh bike for further sightseeing. This is more stringently forced in bikes world than taxi.

Can we go leh via manali??? With a rented bike ??

Agar condition theek hai to le jaa sakte ho.. aise koi ladakh mein year old ka restrictions to nahin hai but haan ye ho sakta hai ki beech mein kuch state mein 15 saal purani gaadi allowed na ho
