Fasting means eating only fruits on Thursdays and drinking tea or coffee. However after sunset you can eat vegetarian dinner.

Sir, if you don't mind could you please mention the kind of sufferings you had to endure in few words. I am also Cancer ascendant with Saturn in 8th, Jupiter in 5th and Rahu-Ketu in 4/10 axis. Although I am still in my mid 20s, I have been through a lot of ups and downs in my life. It is only GOD's grace and interest in spirituality that has kept me strong. Currently I'm going through initial phase of Jupiter Mahadasha. I wanted to know how this period and Saturn Mahadasha period could fair for me, especially after Rahu Mahadasha was so topsy-turvy w.r.t material growth and great for spiritual progress and realization.
