Is SANUR, Bali Still "SNORE" in 2023? (High Street Walking Tour)

Sanur, Bali has the nickname “Snore” for being most popular with retirees and families, but is this a fair nickname?
In this high street walking tour I walk down Jl. Danau Tamblingan, the busiest road in Sanur, to see what kind of people are in Sanur and to point out some of my favourite places along the way. I share my thoughts on the kinds of cafes, restaurants and bars that are available (and who’s in them), the ease of walking here, how Sanur is changing quickly, and how Sanur compares to other Bali areas like Seminyak.
Thanks for watching!

I was there 2 weeks ago with my husband. We stayed at the Maya Sanur resort and spa. We loved the area, nice hustle and bustle. It didn't seem like a busy/ live area, but equally, I wouldn't class it as quiet. We also tried out the Paradise café which we loved. The Luvene Spa was amazing too. We also walked past the development, which is still ongoing. The exterior has been built not sure about the interior. We walked past it at midnight and workers were still hard at work. What we loved about it was being closer to the beach.

Love Sanur!! Has been my base for all my trips to Bali. I do agree that it is changing with all the new development but that is progress in the world. Love Paradise Gym always stop after my morning walk for a smoothie bowl for breakfast! Only 37 days until I'm back in my happy place!

I've heard that from a few people, must be good for it. I mainly use Paradise for the gym but the food is surprisingly good and healthy too. Have a great time 👍🏼

@@LewisJJC I just checked it out Sanur a few days ago actually! Found a place as well. It definitely seems to be a quieter part of Southern Bali, which is really nice. Let me know if you have any restaurant recommendations please!

In 20 years of going to Sanur never heard of it being called snore. have heard of Kuta and Seminyak being referred to as sh-t, Sanur does not have the drunks

Really, I heard the nickname before I even explored it for myself. There are pros and cons for every area but there's a good reason I got out of Seminyak for sure
