As a big Ryan fan and literally me Ryan myself, I agree he’s average looking to begin with. He’s got quite a few flaws on his face. Long face with close eyes distance plus a lazy eye and a hairline that’s higher on the right side. Many of us know that, he himself knows that as well. He knows he’s not too good looking when compared to Chris Evans and Hemsworth whose facial features just stand out like that. He said he does not have the face for a romantic lead while promoting the notebook back then. While Hollywood stylists put in their efforts, the most crucial credits go back to Ryan himself. His pure heart and personality stand out the most. Although being an introvert, he’s genuinely very kind and sweet and respectful towards his colleagues. Very polite and soft spoken, not loud at all. Shy but very adorable. When you look at him, you can tell that’s a good trustworthy kind man. Definitely one of the best decent man in Hollywood. His personality balances out the flaws on his face which help him gain back a lot of points and that’s how many of us find him attractive overall because it doesn’t just come from the face, it’s from his heart that makes up his attractiveness. I’ve had more than a few celeb husband crushes and frankly he isn’t the most handsome one among them, but he turned out to be the one I’m in love with and spend money on merchandises the most. He’s exactly the kind I look for. He’s my dream man. We’re both Canadians and we had the same personal struggles growing up. I watch him as if I’m looking at a mirror. He’s not too handsome but it doesn’t matter to me anymore if I could be with him. His heart is gold. 🥹🥹❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

yes. in a college campus of fit white males in the age range of 18-22 he would probably be above average but not by such a significant margin as men like chico or young henry cavill.

Every talk show this guy is on, all they do is go on and on about how good looking he is. So, the science had to been developed from a sample of people the majority of us regard as very attractive. From this certain patterns arose after the faces were segmented and quantified via their measurements I assume. And, the more segments of a face that fall within the ideal measurements the more attractive the face. There must be some very important variables that are being set aside if Ryan Gosling's score fell as far as it did right? I don't believe attributes such as talent and personality add or subtract much, if they did, Margo Martindale would be hailed as unbelievable attractive.

But then it’s not science anymore is it? The fact is some people’s beauty is overestimated while that of others is underestimated based on cultural factors. How come when we talk about aesthetics we always have to assume the majority are right? Maybe they’re other factors which make him attractive, including height and sexual dimorphism but that’s not strongly correlated with facial beauty, as measured by proportions. My theory is that factors such as the golden ratio correlate more strongly with perceived beauty in females than in males, given that females evolved for beauty because that is what men have traditionally desired in females throughout the ages, whereas with men the picture is a little more murky and tends to be more of a trade off between beauty and traits which suggest a man is a good provider.

Bad rating. He's white and he looks like a normal healthy man. He looks friendly and approachable. He doesn't have nasty RBF like make models. That's why he's attractive even with all his flaws. Nothing stands out on his face to normal people do all they see is just a man. Normal people don't nit pick facial features. Morph doesn't look better. Just looks different.
