Rockstar is amidst a release for the critically acclaimed GTA trilogy in a remastered form that meets the standards of modern day gaming. With the celebration of Max Payne's 20th year anniversary and Max Payne 2's 18th year anniversary, is there room for a revival of good ole Max? Sam Lake proudly introduced the remaster of Alan Wake, and the concoction of Rockstar's newfound "innovation" coupled with the popularity of remasters/remakes routinely taking the next generation industry by storm prove to be a cocktail for Rockstar to capitalize on the Max Payne series. Payne Evolution, the mod for Max Payne 2 showed how great the old engine can still be. Just increase that polygon count, maybe add a little more detail to the levels, add some enhanced particle effects and the old games can still hold up preatty well! It doesn't need a full unreal engine remake like GTA as the physics are good enough with these ones

I believe a remake from the ground up would be the best options for Max Payne 1 & 2....Now they can do a seperate REMASTER for Max Payne 3 because part 3 is basically a REMAKE version of the older ones if u wanna look at it like that because the graphics for 3 are up to par still even in 2021...far ahead of its time gameplay wise and graphic wise...Give Max Payne 1 & 2 "The Mafia 1" treatment (REMAKE) ...Would be so happy to play these in today's graphics

That would be the perfect treatment for the trilogy. Knowing them, they'd probably try and preserve the feel and look of the first two similar to GTA trilogy. Hopefully it isn't a pile of shit tho

I would love to see Max Payne in new graphics. But not the MP3 way... MP3 was very restrictive and it was more like an interactive movie, than a game.
I think we will see a Max Payne Trilogy Definitive Collection for Max Payne’s 21st birthday which will be July 23 2022

I definitely hope that will happen for reals! Even if we have to wait that long for July 2022 also. Hopefully it’ll be on PS4 & PS5 or whatever it depends on.
I could definitely see all Max Payne games remastered for all consoles.
MP 1 & 2 have been pulled from the Steam store. It begins!

@Tyler NY I feel like the technology has improved so much that they won't even need to worry about that.
I definitely think they should do a Remaster Version of “Max Payne 1, 2 & 3” in a Trilogy Collection. (Third One from 2012 is one of my favorites only, but never played The First One and Second One from back in The 2000s’ though!)

@@desmondfranklin6211 I actually always wanted to play The First and Second One via PS2 Version, but never had any chances back in The 2000s’… True Story Fact! However yes The First One is a Adrenaline Rush and same with The Second One, which I like how you get to play as Mona Sax in the later chapters too!

It's almost a gift and a curse. We get more Max Payne on next gen, but we might see a disaster piece again
I have 1 on the ps5 idk why 2 and 3 are not on the ps store
I think the first max Payne really need a remastered because especially max s face Rockstar need to make max look better and make the gameplay better and add some new details in the game like the gta remastered games

Remastering the whole game and like you said with Max’s face. If they could make Max’s face (Sam Lake) with rockstar’s graphic and do lip-syncing and facial movements. Same to the other characters and the NPCs. Keep the novel pages untouched, But to make the in-game cutscenes better.

Remedy doesn't own Max Payne anymore, so Rockstar and Take Two would have to be on with Remedy working on it
Remastering Max Payne would be nice, but I don't think Rockstar Games would do that because Max Payne is for death
They should leave the Max Payne trilogy the fuck alone, the GTA trilogy is ass, so they should leave it alone...
