Is Prepping Normal Now?

One thing that people need to learn to do is recognize when a neighbor is having a problem . I noticed that a neighbor’s work vehicle hadn’t left in a few days and realized that they had something going on different than what was normal . I reached out to the family and found out that the neighbor had COVID and very ill . Knowing that the neighbor was the main bread winner for the family , I knew that they needed help . I asked what kind of items they needed and took them to their home . Pay attention to what looks normal and what doesn’t , not just in security wise which is important , but also in other ways .

Morning Travis. Out at the farm, all the neighbors, the local business has been here for generations and know each other, have gone to school together, married and blended families, go to church together. Anyone new coming into the community is absorbed into the community instead of trying to change the community or stand alone. The families have known each other for generations. We know everyone (at least by reputation) and know we can rely on our neighbors in time of need.

Only thing that sucks is that I'm in the middle of town. The theoretically good, residential side with far less meth heads lol. I worry that people may be more spoiled and jugmental over here and may even call the cops if they see me walking up into the woods with my stuff. I hope I'm wrong and that it actually sparks curiosity and conversation. Maybe I'll even be able to get people to join me 🤷‍♂️ my neigbor actually just recently started a garden bed in his yard. @@dirtyroofer3678 Take ANY galvanized metal ( ANY metal that can rust - try it ON your truck AND car if ya think it "sounds like bull " then get back to us) pour a little mound of salt on it ( keep adding salt if it gets to low) and spritz water a couple times and a couple times a day. You can even "scratch the surface" before ya do it as this would simply speed up the rusting.

I won't tell the Angry Prepper (Jason) that you said he's a lunatic. Ha ha ha - he has indicated that it was not one of his better moves. And really, I don't think the people were lunatics, I think the show portrayed them that way though. Now, as you are pointing out, it's becoming more acceptable to prepare. Even though, the Boy Scouts have been recommending to be prepared for like 120 years now... And Travis, you do know that there are plenty of sheeple that consider you to be a lunatic right? Just saying.

Now is t time to prepare. It’s too expensive. You should’ve done it years ago when it was cheap. Buy it cheap and stack it deep was the saying years ago. You should be living off preps now not buying anything if you can help it. You shouldn’t be making big purchases now. The guy who keeps his $ longest will come out in best shape when the tide turns

The reason I don't subscribe to the European solution is they are socialistic in their beliefs. So you don't have equal efforts being deployed by individuals. They won't have a way to bring those individuals into the fold. They rely on government guidelines. And how many people are going to bring skills? Skills they developed as a thinking individuals? Very few Europeans don't own guns for the vast majority. So how will they be useful in their mindset and decision making.

Here's my theory, I think they want people to be self sufficient. Start to go to "LOCAL " farm shops and markets. Can this be a way of getting people ready for the 15 minute "city" plan ? Maybe, all of this push is to get people on board with staying and shopping locally. Just wondering 🤔

@tammyturowski6703 yes they do. If we start doing everything locally, they can clamp down quicker. Look at idaho and the water 💧. So, yes they want you dependent on them but how to make sure you are? Constantly atomising the population in ANY WAY, then pull the plug or in the case of the farmers in Idaho the water 💧 🤔
