Is Olympus MJU II THE BEST Film Camera Under $300?

Olympus MJU II or Stylus Epic is in my opinion the best point & shoot film camera under $300 and the perfect film camera for beginners.
The simplicity of use, small size, and high-quality lens the biggest selling points. Compared to Yashica T4 or Contax T2 film cameras I think Olympus provides the most value for your money.
Thank you @eivindrodland for the great trip & additional footage.

    @@lewisfernandes8114 if seals around the lens, you can check by pointing flashlight close to the lens and move it around little bit while you see the back lens (film back open). if u see light pass it means light seals around lens was leaks.

    I use the Olympus mju II zoom 170 best compact point and shoot camera series EVER! Review video on my channel. I paid just £10 used 2nd hand off ebay for it many years ago when digital photography was getting more popular, these little 35mm compact cameras were very cheap, not now though, for very good reason, they have almost reached cult status, due to their timeless design, quality build and superb results for absolute minimal effort! I also have the original mju I purchased new the 1990s.

    @@RemmyMusic1 Nope not really. It being unreliable making the well kept copies more scarce and fetch higher price. Kindly note that these are not being produced anymore and will never be again! As the working copies gets much fewer, it will equal to higher prices. This concept works for every collectible hobbies not just cameras. If reliability dictates the prices, then vintage car, watch and any other vintage stuff should have gone down the price already.

  • @RemmyMusic1

    @RemmyMusic1

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@BEM_01 The same thing happened with vintage game consoles like SNES, NES, and other ones. There was a peak somewhere around 2018-2020 where as now its cooled off and people have lost interest. Obviously still some ludicrous prices- but as a whole the price has gone down. Theres a bunch of parallels between the two. Not being manufactured anymore, can easily break, scarce in quantity, better kept copies selling for more... the problem with cameras is theres just so many to choose from, once people see these provide only less than incremental changes to the shots, it'll die. you can disagree all you want, but google trends already shows a drastic loss of interest over the past 4 years.
