OF 1910 and 1920 (and the 1915 blend!) are solid whiskies that will always have a place on my bar. I didn't even realize 1910 was a double-barred expression until I was on my second bottle, and now I'm OBSESSED with finished whiskey in toasted barrels.

Bluenote Crossroads would make a great double blind with 1910. 1910 is always in the picture when comparing 100 proof or less bourbons.

Timely review. I bought this for the first time this year to make a 1915 blend. I was so surprised at how good it was. It’s probably my favorite double oaked product under $100.

This has become one of my favorites. I have had the WRDO, Penelope Toasted, and JD#27 as well and they were all great but for the money this is the best value of any of the ones I have tried. I have a bottle of the Basil Hayden toasted I will try next. I would love to grab a Jefferson's twin oaked. It is great how some of the good things we enjoy and use come from mistakes or accidents. I have had OF86, 100, Statesman, 1910, 1920, and 1870 and enjoyed all of them. I agree that it is something that is enjoyed at the end of the day especially over a campfire. I like to use it to end the night on a high note.

Thanks for the review! So i recently stepped outside of shopping at my military base for liquor/spirits up in wa here and man i forgot we have the highest alcohol tax. I bought some OGD-114 at a total wine for 30.99 and after tax it came to 40.98! So im def glad im able to get that OF 1910 for $45 even and essentially anything on base. Ive only had 2 things from Old Forrester that being the 1910 and the 1920 because thats the only things they have in stock.

Yup, those taxes can get ya. I shop at Fort Lewis when I am in the area and stop at Total Wine in Olympia for things just can't get where I live. I am down in SW WA coast so it is just a quick drive across the river to OR where prices are about the same as at the Class 6.

I will always have OF 1910 and 1920 on my shelf. They are both incredibly delicious, easily available and aren't crazy expensive. I've been drinking 1920 since close to the first time it was released (2016) and I'm pretty sure the price hasn't increased. Is that true for any other quality bourbon? Anyway... back to 1910. Love it!

I regard double barreled bourbon as a different category from regular bourbon. I'll go for it when the mood strikes me. This one is good for the price. Probably my favorite so far is Garrison Brothers Balmorhea, but it is a lot more expensive. It is also a lot more intense, and that might not always be what I want, so it is good that I also have Old Forester 1910 in my collection. Pricing is always an interesting consideration. I consider anything under $60 to be a value bottle if the quality is there, and Old Forester 1910 certainly qualifies. With Scotch being my first love in whisky, I consider it to be a reference when I determine the relative value of other spirits. I find that, with rare exceptions, I cannot find a bottle of single malt Scotch for less than $60 that has the qualities that I desire, and it is common for me to pay more than $100. Brandy and agave spirits also tend to be costly at the quality level that I desire, and it is very rare for me to pay less than $60 for a bottle. On the other hand, I have no trouble finding quality bourbon, rye, rum, and baijiu in the $30-$60 range. These categories of spirits can get expensive too, but it is nice that there are still bargains.
