I don’t find the gameplay fun. It’s slow I laugh when people say it’s faster than mk11 when the frame data shows that it’s not. Kameos having summon attacks is stupid with your character striking a pose. Characters are watered down characters missing legacy moves and more.

people actutally think that becuz one of the buttons in your combo/blockstring is called "kameo" and you change that around makes the combos sooooo much more creative and deep. MK1 feels like a direct response to people going "theres no combos" in 11 but they put the assist shit that was in towers as the main focus and air combos. The game is about as deep as a puddle as Tom said.

It is a 1v1 game so why would it become better if they introduce WWE game modes into it 🤣🤣🤣? Everyone is complaining that the gameplay is lacking and slow as well as there not being enough things to do offline. Crossplay isn't going to make the game better by any means as its still basically fighting 1v1 opponents just on different consoles. It is a 1v1 game like I said and therefore kameos had no place in it. It has no chance of competing with Tekken any time soon. Kameos reward bad gameplay too, you could be winning and owning your opponent and they'll end your combo just like that with the kameo and change things, well that's at least what a lot of pro people didn't like.

There’s nothing bringing this game back from the dead. I stuck it out for 6 months with all the desyncs, bs lies from NRS, nickle and diming me for skins and fatalities that should have been included in the game and the absolute worst offline experience I’ve ever seen in Invasions. I have lost all respect for NRS and I’m done with the franchise in general. I’ll stick with Tekken 8. At least they care about their fanbase. Mortal Kombat doesn’t even have the descency to respond to any of their fans ever.

I just want them to bring back MKX gameplay. The variations just need some slight refinements to make all them viable.

As a guy who buys mk solely because of what the gameplay has to offer, I genuinely dgaf about customization and other random modes. As long as I have kasuals, ranked and offline PvP, then I'm set.

We the FANS yelled a Shaolin Monk's style open world Conquest mode and krypt mk11 style! Instead we got Invasions and Camio. Invasions is Stupidly repetitive and becomes boring fast! For the amount of Grinding required for the rewards on offer is Pathetic. The shop is deadset expensive and crap! Where are the games model's or mini games? This game is literally an online game and they can't even get that right. Patch on top of patch on top of patch! So payed full price for a half ass game. Love my mk franchise, but It's obvious No Love went into the game unlike Tekken 8 which is complete and Awesome!

The fact you mentioned Co-Op as an addition when it was in MK11. Only online towers but still it was there! Maybe you meant tag-team co-op offline though.

Mortal Kombat 11 has better graphics BY FAR. M1K - 3:15 MK11 - 3:25 I mean flick between these two and look at Cage's model. It's insane how much better he looks, the lighting, the texturing. It's night and DAY.

The only people who liked the variation system where a minority outside of the casual audience all it ended up doing was watering down the characters thats why they scrapped it. I don't know man this game feels like a cash grab that was supposed to be Injustice 3. It's so archaic by the new standards set by fighting games in 203 23/24

Real talk, if there arent any balance changes that changes the meta (buffs and nerfs for characters and kameos) or any new game modes. The game will die/return to current state , within 2-3 weeks after the update, maybe even before that, when the hype from peacemaker, crossplay and season4 die down.

Too many people cried bout having to level up the gear options in MK11. They thought it would be more streamlined this way, but common sense isn’t too common. As we got a more streamlined lvl system for characters. But it takes even longer…AND lost a shit ton of customization options for gear and skins. Also the skins are too safe for MK1. 11 had some off the wall shit and it worked so well.

To be honest, they couldve added Konquest mode or even featured a new Mythologies story on DLC pack. Mortal Kombat 1 couldve been a glorious storyteller hand in hand with it being an awesome fighting game.

My dude complaining he waited 4 years for mk1 lmao. Dude 3rd strike is at evo this year under night came out in 2012 part 2 in 2024. Street fighter 4 had a 9 year life cycle. Fighting games are not call of duty my guy they live long life’s and when they are fun (umvc3) they live forever.

The problem I have with mk1 is that it's too colorful, too much pink and purple and girls squeeling as they punch and kick. Very poor customization of characters and as fun as the combat is, the combos and brutality just don't hit as hard as mkx or 11.

Okay, Can someone tell me if ANYTHING in Mortal Kombat matters anymore? Okay, can someone tell me if ANYTHING in Mortal Kombat mattered? Okay, in regards to MK1's story, what exactly is the point of **anything** that's happening? Not only from a narrative standpoint, but from a meta one too. MK1 was supposed to be a "new" start to things. But every problem solves itself and everyone is almost a carbon copy of their original counterpart with only surface level changes. (Except Tanya, who was made different but also really ugly for some reason) Shang Tsung is still just Shang Tsung. Quan Chi, is still Quan Chi. Johnny Cage is still Johnny Cage. Heck, Ermac might as well have been copy pasted. It feels like the story is so afraid to try **anything** new beyond 'member berries or references to what they were. With many characters feeling like either downgrades or just painfully wasted potential. (Looking at you Baraka and the Tarkat rebellion) Meanwhile, games like Street Fighter 6 move forward with both a new identity, tone and new characters. Which leads me to my other point; being that with the introduction of infinite branching timelines, **nothing that happens in MK matters anymore**. What difference does it make if we beat Titan Shang Tsung at the end when there is an **infinite** number of variants of not just him, but EVERY character who can come into the timeline at any point. Not that there was ever even a feeling of the good guys maybe losing, but what did it matter if they even did? Even in the end of the Story Mode, we can play as another variant of **Titan Lui Kang.** I'm just trying to figure out if there are any stakes involved in this anymore.

There was never any stakes since mk11 introduced their time travel and the fact of their ridiculous power scaling ruining the mk pantheon to the point of no return. Also, you’re right tbh, after mk11 imo, there really should have been no story since the crown was showcased to have no limits as well as in character endings that you can achieve your perfect ideal world. The problem with NRS is that they have banking on mk1-3 characters ever. They’re not given incentive to change for the most part bcoz most of the fans will eat that shit up lmao

As a Tekken fan I am laughing at how bad this is but also sad at how bad this is. You guys deserve better.

To be fair the story mode was pretty interesting given the fact it was rebooted twice since the reboot 2011. the game is lacking in content, many issues were addressed with p1 or p2 combos dropping or network issues in early stages. But it’s mk, game had loops and infinites in all its games. Krossplay was not in mk11 till later in the games life. However, mk1 announced it will be krossplay day 1 before the week of launch they said it was not available but soon. This vid is ok in comparisons but comparing an already developed game late it’s in life cycle vs one starting 🤷‍♂️ not really fair. However comparing the vanilla style of game between the two, mk11 takes the cake. The new style of mk1 concept of assist seems like it was a shot in the dark. It should’ve been a separate game mode to be honest, invasions are way better than those endless towers. Invasions is on a game board, wish they did a tour mode like they did with sf6 and invade realms.

MK has always been a trash franchise. The only thing that makes it popular are the Fatalities. Take out all the blood and gore and there's nothing, but crappy broken game play. MK is the perfect example on how not to design a fighting game. "If it's not broken, it's not NRS!"

MK11 was WAY Better❗️ No desynchs or random audio drops, it had Better customization. You could switch your intros/outros, gear pieces,etc,more brutalities, better graphics. MK1 looks nice but MK11 looks way more cinematic to me & it feels more smoother & plays great. MK1 it feels slow & clunky. Trust me I can tell the difference. Also I HATE Kameos it killed the hype for me soon as the trailer dropped & i still don’t like how a mortal Kombat game feels like a marvel Vs capcom game. Why tf would they add kameos? & charging for fatalities like what?! The dlc was better in 11. MK1 only good dlc character will be Takeda, Omni man is cool but Peacemaker is lame af & has been delayed but that won’t make a difference because the game is already dead af 🗑️

I been saying it for ages, before MK 1 even came out but delusional fanboys would disagree and tell me that MK 1 is going to totally own MK 11. Everything about MK 11 felt way better, the overall presentation, music, gameplay etc. Kameos ruined the game by a long shot. They could have added an option to disable them and for online they should have been permanently disabled but they just keep trying to fix things that aren’t broken.

Bro that’s not entirely true..The graphics in mk 11 are better imo.Mk 1 looks like a cartoon and the stage backgrounds look like colorful but bland portraits instead of actual 3d environments.Go the mk 11 and look at the Devorah bug hive stage, there’s literally no stage in mk 1 that looks anywhere near better than that.💯

I smelt the rat early I hated mk 11 I waited on mk1 but 2 weeks before it launched something just told me fuq that game so I did, now look lol the game is garbage im glad I didn’t purchase it.

In UK Mortal Kombat Premium edition with included combat pack 1,at launch price ,was 109 pounds, now premium edition is down to 40, whoever bought the game at beginning was robbed 😂 unfinished game, no game modes, de-sync, all that crap you mentioned. I might buy this game if the issues are fixed, but until then I better wait, cause maybe buying standard edition and kombat pack separately will be even cheaper. Price is not dropping for kombat pack 1 yet, it is still 35 pounds, but where is the content? 🤷🤣

I Hope netherealm will learn a lesson. I bought MK 1 with all season pass because i wanted to play with my friend and he gotten into fighting games recently. Turns out we played more offline because there was no crossplay. I have 1230h in Tekken 7, and of course was more hyped about T8 coming out. In the way im happy that Mk 1 is shit because now i can teach my friend tekken Edit: also i subjectively think that there is no better fighting game series than Tekken. I have respect to Street fighter , specially 6th entry and what Third Strike , wish i played this one. Too bad soul calibur 6 haven't worked. Could have been better. I don't care about MK no more. I Hope this it will be treated way it diserves.

Im an avid mk player and as of lately mk has just not been enjoyable. I picked up tekken 8 my first tekken game ever and Im enjoying it way more than mk. Everyone on mk just constantly runs full screen or zones or rely on kameos. Tekken is super fast paced which is beyond more enjoyable for my playstyle. Broken characters and gimmicks still exist on tekken but its also majority your fault if you lose on that game because everything is so specific(inputs)

Mk11 has all the ingredients to be that great game except the breakaway -> NSR dont know what to do with it MK1 try so hard to be combo crazy fast pace like MkX but failed so hard cause the string is so long, boring and repetitive ( repeat the same move 2 or 3 times to maximize the damage), they dont know how to balance the Kameo while the game heavily depend on the Kameo. The decision is so weird because u have kunglao, sco, sub...playable then why make them a kameo? The tournament is just the same old pick, tanya is ugly...

Mk1 gameplay is boring. To me all the other stuff not as important. Can i watch this game and see new excited oh my god how is that possible stuff? The answer is no, it is slow, character movements look awkward. At the reveal on twitch everybody was like wtf this looks likw mk11!

Not to mention that the game is infested with cheaters. Which no one seems to be addressing. Sony banned the Cronus Zen, but people have already found loopholes around the ban. I am literally stuck in the God rank because people are using scripted combos. But that's okay, because you want to know what's even more insulting? Just recently, the Elder God Baraka skin from season 1 was available to purchase. So I expect the same will happen for the Li Mei skin and the Rain skin. In other words, anyone who is grinding for the Elder God rank is a sucker. I will wait until the skins are available to purchase. I am not playing online anymore. Story mode is great. Invasion mode is great, and Towers is great, but that's about it. Even SonicFox has dropped the game. He only does private matches.

Updated graphics? are you kidding me? MK1 looks worse!

Other than the desync issue, it’s interesting hearing people want so much more stuff. I’ve never bothered with a lot of the casual modes. I always just do story and ranked. If I’m trying to learn the game competitively at all the other modes just feel rather pointless I guess. Like what am I supposed to learn or gain from the experience? But I’m in the minority. When a friend tried to play a fighting game he was wondering what all he could do, and since he doesn’t play competitively there wasn’t anything for him to do in Strive. But I liked playing it.

Nobody ever complained about mkX. Kids only complained cause it was “too difficult” and ofc those idiots made netherealm create snail paced games with mk1 and mk11. No skill is needed anymore, games are too easy

why Woke-tal Kombat 1 is bad : - story is now literally a joke, they abandoned all the classic MK lore and atmoshpere, resetted everything twice yet managed to make it even worse and worse, turned MK into some marvel multiverse B S - roster is few, lacking a lot. and they keep adding B S guests from comic like Dumbi-Man, Piss-Maker, Home-Invader, which takes slots of legacy characters - kameos should have been optional and it should have been tag team modes, not just assists - ruined the character origins, subzero is now scorpion, some edgelord is now subzero, baraka is now a good boy, reptile is a soi boi, shao is now a generic goon, reiko is a shao fan boi, and and havik is now dariou with darius story and meat's moveset, and worse he's a commie hahah :D - worst char designs. gave subzero and scorpion granny buns, smoke having a karen haircut. and especially fems. Tran'ya, Li Man'i, Bi'Leena. bunch of de-femine woke designs hahah :D - absolutely most pointless customization ever. no costumes, 1000 awful recolors of same skins - lacking game modes. invasions are BS. no krypt no kaf no konquest - they dont care about the OG longyear fans. their target community are TW weirdos now. which is a shame :D - the game is ruined because of Woke too, look at how they added a traps version of Cage to please alphabet community. they are even in the dev team hahah :D then y'all wonder why Woke-tal Kombat is dead. they simply put agendas before game's fandom. then they cry on TW when their game is dead :D

Trash game. It’s a reskinned horribly done injustice game. They really screwed over the MK fan base with this game.

Idk its really weird for me. I really enjoy mk1 and still play it but i only play ranked. Its better than mk11 gameplay wise but the monetization and lack of modes and customization made me redownload mk11. Also idk why they got rid of stage fatalities,krushing blows and friendships. Its shit like that that makes me think mk is a lil bit cooked. Mk might be stuggling rn but im not down bad enough to play a shitty game like tekken

Considering the fact that tekken 8 had come out and its replay value is higher than mk1, tekken is going to be doing better than mk1 in sales. Honestly, they had delayed the peacemaker dlc, they need more modes without cameos, invasion mode is trash, and in my opinion, I would rather have mkx mechanics to come back. I like tekken and mortal kombat, but I see myself enjoying more of tekken than mortal kombat itself

You're entitled to your opinion but in my opinion sales dont mean shit if nobody is gonna be talking abt it in a year. The insane thing is if mk1 actually had worthwhile content nobody would give a shit abt tekken. People just see their favorite creator hate on mk and then jump on the bandwagon

@nextgenjah I disagree cause not everyone was hating on it except those who had played mk11 were playing and still play to this day due to the content. The difference between tekken and mortal kombat is because tekken has a bigger fanbase than NRS. Tekken 7 came out in 2017, mortal kombat 11 came out 2019, and recently, mk1 came out last year, tekken 8 came out this year. Long story short, NRS wants to listen to the fans, but Warner bros will not allow it cause they look at a money grab, nothing more. The devs of the tekken community listen to the fanbase cause they love tekken since the beginning. I'm an avid gamer, and I grew up on mk since it came out; I have it on p.c and ps5. However, this game feels soulless

MK 1 looks worse. Graphics look more cartoony. Just look at the two johnnys in your video when you compare customization. Mk11 Johnny looks real as fk. Mk1 looks and moves like a Pixar movie

you guys really switched up when they delayed the season and now saying the game sucks wow both games mk11 and mk1 are good kamoes are a fantastic mechanic in this game mk1 is my fav mk so far yall just keep hating it's crazy lol
